About
Hal Miller Photography and Film offers a friendly, holistic and supportive photo and film service all in one place.
Hal and his wife Emily have been capturing photos and films of happy couples' weddings for the last five years and pride themselves in always leaving couples feeling supported, listened to and comfortable in the knowledge that the emotion felt during their wedding has been captured in an authentic, natural and genuine light.
Hal and Emily originally met in Cambodia and started their journey making wildlife and adventure documentaries in South East Asia together. During the pandemic, after a dramatic return to the UK as the world shut down, they managed to stay together and capture the stillness of the wilderness in rural Devon, resulting in the award-winning documentary "Harberton" whilst also falling madly in love until Hal asked Emily to marry him. As time went on, Hal's photography journey led him to become proficient in various photographic styles and subjects, but his absolute favourite has always been capturing the love, emotion and beauty of weddings. They are now happily married now living in Chepstow, serving clients across Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire amongst other places.
Hal has gone on to become the supportive, friendly photographer that couples can depend on. He frequently gets complimented on his work ethic, with guests and couples often commenting on how hard he works to capture every moment from every possible angle. His friendly, sociable and jovial demeanour helps guests feel relaxed around the camera to get you the best possible results - big natural smiles, no awkward moments, lots of love and emotion. His attention to the little details makes sure that all the effort that goes into the personal touches that make your wedding unique is also captured forever for you to remember.
Couples often feel like they are saying goodbye to a friend at the end of the night, as Hal makes such an effort to make their day as special as possible.
By offering comprehensive pre-booking consultations via video call, you can meet Hal face to face to discuss your requirements. He's always keen to find out more about each couple, their unique story and their preferences and tastes when it comes to what they want from their photographer and videographer. With Emily also there with boundless positivity and a keen eye for the little bits you might miss on the day, together they make a formidable team who can be counted on to deliver memories of your wedding that often leave couples in tears of joy once the final package is delivered.
