We’re Jake and Emma – a married couple from Bristol who love capturing life’s moments together.
What started as a shared hobby with a camera quickly grew into a major step of trust for us. We named our business Mustard Seed Studios as a direct nod to our Christian faith, inspired by the truth that something incredibly small can grow into something grand, beautiful, and flourishing. It was a literal leap of faith for us—starting with a tiny dream, putting our trust in God, and watching it grow.
The true heart of it all clicked after our own wedding. Experiencing the sheer joy and lasting value of receiving our own photos and film made us realise just how vital amazing visual storytelling is. We were instantly inspired to pour our professional background and passion into bringing that exact same feeling to other couples.
Because we know how important these memories are, we treat every wedding as if it were our own. We also know firsthand that planning a wedding is a massive investment and costs can quickly add up. We approach our business with a heart of service, which means we never want finances to stand in the way of you getting incredible memories—we are always happy to be flexible and work closely with you to tailor a package that beautifully suits your budget.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, celebrating a milestone, or just want to capture everyday magic, we bring a calming, friendly presence so you can just focus on celebrating. We’d love to be part of your story!

Meet the team
Hey, I'm Emma! I'm the main face behind the camera at Mustard Seed Studios. Honestly, I've always been drawn to storytelling — there's something about a single image or a short film that can hold an entire feeling. Long before the studio existed, I was shooting church events and community life, just figuring out what I loved and getting better at it.
My favourite part of any wedding day is the unplanned stuff. The look between a dad and his daughter before they walk in. The laugh that catches someone off guard during the vows. The ugly cry during the speeches. Wedding days move fast and can feel overwhelming, so I try to be the calmest person in the room. The less you notice me, the better I'm doing my job.
When I'm not behind the lens, I'm probably planning our next road trip, falling down an interior design rabbit hole, or knee-deep in a DIY project I definitely underestimated.
Hi, I'm Jake! I support Emma on wedding days as second shooter and keep things ticking behind the scenes. My background is similar to Emma's — years of shooting events and stories for my church, which is where I learned to find the quiet moments inside the chaos of a live day.
On the day itself, I'm hunting for the angles Emma can't be in two places to get — the candid reactions, the wide shots, the details people miss when they're caught up in the moment. My goal is simple: make sure everyone feels relaxed and looked after.
After the wedding, I'll be assisting Emma in the edit suite, managing our workflows, running our socials, and looking after our couples through the whole process. Away from the studio, I'm usually on the football pitch, rearranging my home office, or attempting something ambitious in the kitchen.
