About

Wedding photos start with how you feel, not how you look. It’s a big day. Not because of the size of your wedding, but because of what it signifies for you. The promise, the people, the party with everyone you love.

I’m Emma, a documentary wedding photographer based in Bedfordshire and capturing weddings across the South East UK.

On your wedding day, I’m calm, unobtrusive, friendly, there to observe, guide where necessary, and photograph all the glorious moments as the day unfolds. If my hands weren’t full, I’d be cheering and clapping along with the rest of your guests, I love those moments so much. But most importantly, I love to photograph them!

Simply put, they are a day to mark the end of one season, and celebrate the beginning of a beautiful new one. A day to spend with as many of your favourite people as you can, to eat incredible food, kiss, dance, drink and have the time of your lives.

I genuinely believe that the camera is one of the most incredible means of story telling - the ability of the photographer, through the camera, to document events and reveal the emotion, the narrative, and the community is unparalleled. I find so much joy in quietly observing, finding the magic in light, emotion, and the fleeting moments that reveal the heart of a day.

I’m especially drawn to the slower, more intentional process of working with my Hasselblad medium-format camera. Film allows me to breathe, to listen, and to create images rooted in nature, luminosity, and the kind of delicate details that are often felt before they’re seen.

Beyond photography, I’m a toddler mum, a musician, a wife, and working part-time with an anti–sex trafficking charity. I’m happiest wandering through a forest in sunshine or rain, and I have a soft spot for giving old clothes new life (Vinted is my guilty pleasure) and sewing new ones from scratch.

Photography, for me, is the art of translating feeling into something tangible — images that are beautiful, poetic, light-filled, and honest. My approach is rooted in storytelling: letting your connection, your personalities, and the quiet in-between moments fill the frame. If you’re dreaming of wedding photographs that feel evocative, intentional, and authentically you — I’d be honoured to document your story.

"Emma photographed our wedding day which incorporated many different elements and locations! Emma did a brilliant job of capturing the day and we feel the photos really captured us and also the day perfectly, with great traditional shots as well as candid and fun ones that we will be able to look back on fondly for years to come! She also made us feel incredibly comfortable and at ease on the day, and was also able to bring her unique style in photographing the day!" Clare & Kit

"You were such a great person to have at our special moment, super chill, full of life and joy despite the cold weather, and you've captured everything so beautifully. Can't thank you enough for these photos that will always remind us of one of our most important moments!" Josiah & Steph
