Hey, I’m James, the face, voice, and questionable dance moves behind Adept Imagery. I’ll be the bloke chatting to your nan, high-fiving your dog, and trying not to get emotional during your vows (I call it “professional detachment” – doesn’t always work).
I’m a multi-award-winning documentary wedding photographer – though honestly, the trophies just collect dust. What matters is your story. The real one. The chaos, the belly laughs, the tears, and the occasional guest doing something they’ll regret on the dancefloor.
The “You Won’t Even Know I’m There (Except When You’re Laughing)” Approach
If the thought of posing makes you want to crawl under a table, you’re in safe hands. I don’t do awkward prom-style photos or force you to stare longingly into a field for half an hour. My thing is natural, relaxed documentary photography – the kind where you can actually enjoy your wedding instead of performing it.
We’ll still grab a few cracking portraits, but I promise it won’t feel like a Vogue cover shoot (unless that’s your thing, in which case, strike a pose).
I usually cover the whole day. From morning chaos to that glorious moment when your mate Dave attempts the worm and splits his trousers. But if you’re after something shorter, I’ve got options for that too.
