Hi, I'm James, A multi-award-winning, documentary wedding photographer.
After photographing countless weddings, I've come to realise that everybody (regardless of how much they like or dislike being photographed) loves to re-live their wedding through their photographs. No matter how many weeks, months or years have passed since the wedding your wedding photographs need to be so vivid that they can depict all of those moments from your big day and bring it all flooding back. This is what I do.
Your wedding day is supposed to be nothing less than a fairytale, where you soak in every single moment and have a genuine flow of emotions. If you get stressed or overwhelmed or feel like you are doing things that you don't want to do then it will significantly impact your ability to enjoy your day. That's why you need a photographer who doesn't just take good photographs, you need somebody who picks up on social queues and can read people so you don't get torn away from your friends or interrupted mid-conversation to do a thousand varieties of the same photograph. This is another one of my key skills.
My primary focus is to capture your wedding from a documentary perspective. Unscripted interactions can include the tearful embrace between you and your mother, the loud laughter shared with your friends, and the stolen glance of love between you and your partner. These moments genuinely define your day, and I have a knack for immortalising these moments with my camera. In saying that, we will still pose for some photographs because you will be getting an incredible photographer, but I understand the need to let your wedding breathe and not take it over.

I think the wedding day belongs to you. So, I'll let you relax and I will focus more on natural, relaxed photography. These candid pictures do not include stiff postures, frowning faces, or forced smiles. Instead, my images tell a story from angles that you didn't witness on the wedding day.

Above and beyond
On the day he was more than a photographer! He steamed bridesmaid dresses, made sure my husband was dressed properly showing him how to do his cufflinks and so much more. He made the day complete stress free and somehow still had time to capture some of the most incredible photos ever.
Every photo he has sent we love and he captured the feeling of the feel of the day perfectly. The love and emotions show In the photos and they will be cherished by us.
One of my favourite things about James was the fact you didn’t feel like you had a photographer following you around, making you pose and feeling like you can’t enjoy and be envolve in the day. Instead it was the opposite he blended in with the wedding seamlessly. The day just ran perfectly and it really shows within the photos.
I can’t recommend James enough, he was incredible.

We liked the option of colour or black and white prints, and the random photographs taken made our day even more memorable as he captured elements we did not see.

Thankfully instead of a nightmare we had an amazing dream!! James first did our engagement photos and we knew from that point he was the photographer for us. He was always prompt when responding, was clear with communication and of course the best things - his photos were so so SO amazing!
On our wedding day he blended seamlessly into the day, his quick wit and humour providing a good laugh and calmed some pre-aisle nerves!
