Hey, I’m James, the face behind Adept Imagery.
I’m a wedding photographer based in Evesham, covering Worcestershire, the West Midlands, and weddings across the UK.
I’ve photographed over 500 weddings, and the way I see it is simple.
Your wedding is not a photoshoot.
A story-first approach (with just enough direction)
Most of your day should feel like your day.
Not a schedule built around photos. Not hours disappearing for portraits. Not being told where to stand every five minutes.
I work in a way that lets things unfold naturally.
I’m there for the real moments:
- the nerves before the ceremony
- the chaos during confetti
- the laughs you didn’t expect during speeches
- the bits you won’t even realise happened until you see them
That’s the story.
Then when it matters, I’ll step in.
Fifteen minutes. Maybe twenty.
Just enough direction to get you relaxed, natural portraits that actually look like you.
Then you’re straight back to your wedding.
What it feels like to have me there
I’m not just turning up and pointing a camera at you.
I’m part of the day.
I talk to people. I get involved. I make things feel easy.
Because when people are comfortable, everything looks better.
The photos, the atmosphere, the whole experience.

All collections include professionally edited high-resolution images, a private online gallery, travel costs, and a pre-wedding consultation by Zoom, Teams or in person before your wedding day
How far in advance should I contact you?
The sooner, the better. Full-day weddings can be booked well in advance, while shorter coverage is usually available up to 6 months ahead
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, cover the entire UK & Internationally
What is the charge for travelling?
Travel is included: Intimate 80 miles, Classic 100, Signature 200, Heirloom nationwide. Beyond that, travel is charged at 42p per mile from WR11

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
My approach is documentary, relaxed and unobtrusive. Focused on real moments, honest storytelling and knowing when to step in and when to blend into the background

I use professional Nikon cameras, fast prime and zoom lenses, plus backup equipment throughout the day to ensure reliable, high-quality coverage

Signature and Heirloom collections have no fixed upper limit. I’m flexible with small overruns, but additional coverage beyond your collection is charged at £150 per hour

James was absolutely amazing. He slotted right in as if he was a guest at the wedding - he chatted with everyone and made everyone feel at ease. Nothing was too much trouble either. Honestly could not recommend him enough and cannot wait for our photos!

The best choice!
James was able to offer a package that suited both our budget and our needs. He was flexible when our original venue cancelled six months before the big day, and blended seamlessly into our day! I barely remember seeing him capture all our precious moments but when we went outside to take some pictures of just my husband and I, he made it so easy! Neither of us are ‘formal’ picture people and he captured the essence of us so beautifully! Even asked us to go back outside as there was a beautiful sunset he wanted to capture with us. Looking at the photos was such a surreal and emotional moment for me, I cried when I first watched the slideshow and looked through them! I would absolutely recommend Adept Imagery to others looking for a relaxed, documentary style

Fantastic service & results!!
James was incredible from start to finish. He made us feel completely at ease and captured the day perfectly without ever feeling intrusive. The photos are exactly what we hoped for — natural, relaxed, and full of genuine moments. He blended in effortlessly and managed to capture everything that mattered.
From the more intimate couple shots to the big group photos, James knew how to get the best out of everyone — even managing to snap some great shots of our dogs, which we’ll really treasure.
Access to the online gallery was provided within the expected timeframe (which was lucky, as Beth was very eager to see the results!) — and they were absolutely worth the wait. The photos are awesome and a perfect memento of our fantastic day.

10/10 can't recommend enough
The photos James took of our special day are incredible. To quote my husband as soon as we started flicking through them: "who knew putting a shoe on could look so good" and my father in law: "whatever he charged you, it wasn't nearly enough, they are amazing" and I probably couldn't have put it better myself!
A huge thank you to James for everything he did on the big day, the guidance and support from him was something both my husband and I really appreciated and made us feel comfortable at a time when we both had no clue what we were doing! A Peaky Blinder
Can't recommend James highly enough. From time of booking to receiving our product he was first class. A professional photographer producing amazing images. The weather for our wedding was not great and our venue very small but James still managed to produce the images that we wanted. He is easy to book, he is easy to communicate with and he has packages to suit anyone's needs. We had a theme for our wedding. The Peaky Blinders and James captured the theme and spirit of the day superbly. He is an award winning photographer and you can see why.

Amazing Wedding Photographer
We chose James to be our photographer for our wedding after seeing his amazing artistic imager on a wedding website. He was very quick to respond and professional throughout. So grateful for James, beautiful relaxed, natural photos.
We were let down at short notice by another photographer, and James from Adept Imagery came to the rescue — and honestly, we're so glad he did! He was professional yet really down to earth, easy to talk to, and listened to all of our photo ideas.

10/10 Photographer!
From the very first consultation James made us feel at ease with him and made sure he understood what we were looking for in a photographer. He was great and really captured the small details of our wedding, you can see what was happening in each of the photos. He was really interactive with everyone and even helped the guys get ready in the morning. The pictures are amazing and I would recommend him to anyone needing a wedding photographer! He was very competitively priced and made the effort to travel to our venue which we struggled to find photographers who were willing without a hefty price tag. Thank you so much James, you did an amazing job at capturing our day perfectly!
