PremiumAbout
Hello there, I am James, an -Insert three punchy adjectives- Wedding Photographer operating out of the West Midlands (but willing to travel).
COVID killed a lot of businesses in the Wedding Industry, not mine. I worked two frontline jobs (Food delivery and hospital cleaning) to make sure I could keep my business above water because this is what I love doing. My wedding photography is my life, it's my passion and the fact that my business is self-sustaining again fills my chest with pride. I spent so long working to make this dream a reality and I continue to work to make sure that every aspect of my business is bulletproof so that you, The customer, have the best possible experience from start to finish, Because as much as anybody thinks that hiring a Wedding Photographer is just about the photographs, I personally believe that you are paying for an experience which is why I pride myself on my outgoing personality, my appearance and bearing, my work ethic and my general attitude towards life.
Underpromise, Overdeliver, Sell your strengths. This may sound like a cliche but I prove time and time again that it is not, most professionals (And I am not throwing shade I just recognise where my strengths lie) will leave after your first dance, I do a minimum of 10 hours with my full-day and if there are still things to photograph then I am not finished.
I'm of the crowd that believes in doing my job in a suit, If you expect your guests to dress formally then do not expect anything less of your professionals, turning up to somebodies wedding in a polo t-shirt and cargo pants (I've seen t-shirt & jeans from a videographer I worked with in the past, no names) is just simply unacceptable. It wouldn't be acceptable for somebody who was there as a guest, let alone somebody you have paid and maybe it's my military background but I pride myself on being immaculately dressed all day, despite the fact that I will be running around and lugging loads of gear with me!
People say that I have an innate ability to blend in with the guests, This isn't because I am unassuming, it's because I am extroverted and I can get along with anybody. I love nothing more than laughing and joking with your guests during the day, whilst still being able to capture great candids, In fact, it makes my job easier because people become comfortable around me quite quickly, it is all part of the 'experience' I offer alongside your wedding photographs.
The average cost of a wedding photographer in the UK is £1590, I am routinely placed within a bracket of photographers who charge £1200-£1500 but I charge £795 for my full day. I do it because I love the challenge it brings, I love the people I meet, I love the energy and the vibe of a wedding day and I love the conversations and the banter I have with people, the money is secondary and as the old saying goes, if you love what you do you never work a day in your life.
I am still here running my business after the 18 months of COVID hardship, I worked hard to make sure I am still here so that I can do what I love. So that I can join you on your wedding day and give you the best possible experience.
I am Professionally Qualified, City & Guilds Accredited, and a qualified member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, I am also a registered professional with the Guild of Photographers.
I have over £10k in camera kit and equipment and a professional editing suite.
I am eager to get going again and you won't find many people with a hunger to be successful and to do a great job like mine.
I am a people person, I am confident and happy in large crowds, around new people and I have a natural ability to make people smile.
I served 12 years in the British Army, leaving with a conduct record of exemplary, this typically means I am on time every time, I am always immaculately presented and I will be good with your grandparents!
I hold the following qualifications in photography;
City&Guilds Accredited Programme workshop diploma in Wedding and Portrait Photography
City&Guilds Accredited Programme workshop diploma in Advanced Wedding and Portrait Photography
City&Guilds Accredited Programme workshop diploma in Digital Manipulation
NCON Level 3 Award in Photography Ofqual 600/9343/2
