The best money we spent on the whole day was to have Rachel looking after Ettie& Albie. Our little boy was unwell on the day of our wedding and without her I genuinely would have been stuck in the room with him. Everyone commented on how professional she was, we couldn’t thank her enough for saving the day for us.

I can’t lie, I was apprehensive about having someone I hadn’t met before looking after my daughter on such an important day, and if you’re considering a wedding nanny, you may feel exactly the same. Hopefully this review completely changes your mind, because booking Rachel was genuinely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

We had 15 children at our wedding and, as much as we wanted them all there, the thought of it becoming a complete free-for-all on the day was overwhelming! From the moment Rachel walked in that morning, though, I felt completely at ease.

My daughter was actually unwell on the morning of the wedding — which I have since been told happens surprisingly often with all the excitement! — and was asleep when Rachel arrived. Rachel kept checking on her but, rather than just waiting around, immediately asked what she could do to help. She then steamed every single one of our dresses: my wedding dress and veil, eight bridesmaid dresses and five flower girl dresses. I genuinely do not know who would have done this if Rachel hadn’t stepped in. She was an absolute lifesaver before she had technically even started looking after the children.

When my daughter woke up, she was poorly, clingy and really only wanted me, yet somehow she just completely took to Rachel. Rachel got her washed and ready, and before I knew it she was happily going with her to get her hair done. As a mum, seeing your child trust someone like that when they aren’t feeling themselves says everything.

There was then a disaster with our transport and Rachel stepped in again, helping get people to the venue and immediately offering to make multiple journeys if that was what we needed. She also somehow had deodorant when I realised I had forgotten mine on my wedding day — and Rachel, I have just realised I never gave it back, I’m so sorry!

From then on, she was just always there whenever Florence needed her. Florence could dip in and out of the wedding, spend time with us when she wanted to and then go back to Rachel, which meant I never felt as though she was being taken away from the day. Rachel seemed to understand exactly when to step in and when to let her be part of everything.

Later, Rachel and the two other nannies were incredible with all of the children. They supervised the bouncy castle and soft play and meant that the adults — particularly our parents and other close family members — could actually relax, enjoy themselves and be fully present at the wedding rather than spending the whole day keeping one eye on the children.

So many of our guests commented on how brilliant the nannies were, and receiving photos and videos afterwards from their perspective was such a lovely bonus. Seeing how much fun the children had when we weren’t watching made us realise even more how worthwhile it had been.

Without question, this was one of the best investments we made in our wedding day. I am SO glad I didn’t convince myself that we could just manage the children between us, because Rachel gave us something far more valuable than childcare — she allowed me, my husband, our parents and our closest family and friends to actually experience and enjoy the day.

The service is also incredibly reasonably priced for the value it adds. Rachel herself is so warm, calm, capable and genuinely lovely with children. Florence adored her, the other children adored the team, and I trusted her completely.

I honestly cannot recommend Rachel enough. If you are even slightly on the fence about having a wedding nanny, book her. I would make the same decision again a hundred times over. Thank you so much, Rachel, for everything you did for us — you were an enormous part of making our wedding day as relaxed and special as it was.

Where do I even begin. The children took to Rachel instantly, which was so reassuring and lovely to see on such an important day.

She was incredibly intuitive with our children and always seemed to appear at exactly the right moments. Whenever things became overwhelming she calmly took them aside, keeping them happy and settled, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our wedding.

Rachel also went above and beyond in so many ways. She is exceptionally talented at hair and my daughter’s looked absolutely beautiful. So many guests asked who had done it.

I only wish she could have stayed for the entire day. She is kind, trustworthy, and a genuine pleasure to have around. Our guests thought so too and I believe one even booked her during our wedding.

Rachel is fantastic, so kind and caring. She looked after our gorgeous two year old daughter on our wedding day. Nothing was too much trouble and she looked after our daughter so well. I cannot recommend Rachel enough.

We booked Rachel to help us with our two children at my brother’s wedding back in May, and she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

From the moment she arrived, the kids warmed to her straight away without any hesitation which instantly put us at ease. Hiring Rachel is one of the biggest pieces of wedding advice I’d offer to anyone getting married with young children present. We hired Rachel for my sisters wedding to look after my 1 year old daughter, she was so professional throughout the run up, asking questions to ensure she knew what we wanted on the day, how the day was going to run & what was important to us, also ensuring we could meet beforehand to put my mind at ease. She did meet my daughter beforehand too but to be honest she had such a way with her that I don’t think it would have made a difference if she hadn’t, I’ve never seen my daughter take to someone so well so quickly & even seemed more comfortable with Rachel than her own family! Rachel was an absolute godsend enabling us to be present & fully enjoy the day without having to worry about the unpredictability or restlessness of a young child. Rachel looked after our children for our wedding day and she was so much more than we could have ever expected or asked for. Due to our busy schedule (and my own lack of organisation!) prior to our day, Rachel actually met our daughter (10 months) and son (4y) for the first time on our wedding day, and it was as if they had known her their whole lives. Our daughter in particular took to her as if she was one of our own family members - she adored her (and she’s prime stranger danger age at the moment!).
We are incredibly fussy over who we let look after our children, but in particular our daughter as she’s had a rough time since being born, and we honestly couldn’t have found a better match.
I’ve followed Rachel on social media since our little boy was only a baby, and she was recommended to us a long time ago by a friend, and I would never ever choose anyone else to care for our kids in the future. We absolutely hope to see her again in the future.

We booked Rachel for my husband’s brother’s wedding as we knew with my husband as a groomsmen that I’d be fending for myself with the kids. The first few hours were hard work and I didn’t get to speak to anyone, then Rachel arrived and it was such a relief as I got to enjoy the day. My two boys (18 months and 3years old) went off with her immediately, they loved spending time with her and they are usually really clingy. I have had Rachel mind my children quite a few times and my kids absolutely loved her. We also hired her for my little boy’s first birthday and it was the best thing I could have done. Was so much easier having an extra pair of hands to get the children ready while I was prepping for the party. 100% would recommend, she is lovely.

Rachel was recommended to me by a friend who had used her for babysitting previously. I was worried about leaving my 2y/o with anyone as it’s something I’ve never done before. But I knew childcare was essential for my wedding day as I wanted my family to be present and be able to enjoy themselves. I started off settling my son in with Rachel she would come and see him at our home. Myself and Daniel took to Rachel straight away. She is such a lovely woman and she was amazing with my little boy. After only meeting Rachel once my children instantly loved her, we felt we could trust her to care for our children the evening of our wedding and overnight, she regularly sent us updates and was so professional and caring in every way. Rachel was just the best, nothing was too much even when i needed to change times with her to fit our day better !! Rachel was perfect for our little boy (almost 2) at our wedding. He can be hard to deal with as he is quite lively but she kept him away and made him present all at the right times. She took him for walks and breaks when it got too much and even was great at adapting if plans or times changed slightly during the whole chaos of the day. Best thing we did on the day is hire Rachel for our wedding ! X
