Sammy Made Our Wedding Day Perfect

Our wedding day was just yesterday and we got back from our venue this afternoon. I honestly didn’t want to wait any longer to write this review.

We cannot put into words how incredible Sammy was as the babysitter for our wedding day. Our daughter is autistic and non-verbal, and finding someone who truly understands her needs is not easy – yet Sammy stepped in and, within no time, seemed to know her inside out. Nothing was ever too much. She went above and beyond in every possible way.

What amazed us most was how quickly our daughter felt settled, content, and genuinely happy with Sammy. Considering she doesn’t communicate verbally, it was incredible to see how effortlessly Sammy understood her wants and needs through non-verbal cues. It takes a very special person to connect with her like that, and Sammy did it with such natural warmth and intuition.

Because of Sammy, our daughter was able to be present at our wedding in her own time and her own way. She was calm, comfortable, and truly enjoyed herself – which meant the world to us. Sammy gave us the gift of peace of mind on one of the biggest days of our lives. We were able to focus on our wedding plans without worry, knowing our little girl was being cared for by someone who genuinely “got” her.

We had the most amazing wedding day, and we honestly believe so much of that is because of Sammy. Had our daughter not had such a wonderful day, we would have been constantly torn between caring for her and being present in our celebration. Sammy removed that stress entirely. She is an exceptional caregiver and an extraordinary person, and we are endlessly grateful.

We cannot recommend her highly enough. Sammy made a world of difference to our day, and we will forever appreciate the love, patience, and understanding she showed our daughter.

We are incredibly grateful to Sammy for the outstanding care she provided to our daughter, Amelia, during our wedding. With Amelia being under one year old, it meant even more to us to have someone calm, experienced, and completely trustworthy caring for her for a full 24 hours. Sammy was all of that and more.

She followed Amelia’s routine perfectly, managed feeds, naps, and bedtime with such care and confidence, and kept her settled and happy throughout. She also kindly looked after our dog, Rea, making sure she was fed, and well cared for.

On top of all this, Sammy even went out of her way to drive my dad and his family to the wedding venue, which was such a thoughtful and helpful gesture. Knowing that both our baby and our home were in such capable hands allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our special day.

When Sammy returned Amelia, Amelia was calm, content, and clearly very comfortable with Sammy, which spoke volumes. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better babysitter and would highly recommend her to any family.

If I did it all again I would book Sammy in a heartbeat! Sammy was so helpful, not only with our children but she helped me with my dress when I kept standing on it and even took a few photos while I waited to walk down the aisle. She was armed with toys, games and puzzles for when our youngest needed to step away from the party but she always had the space to join in. I didn't doubt for one second that she had eyes on our children and that gave us such peace of mind. I really cannot recommend Sammy highly enough.

I honestly don’t know where to start to explain how amazing Sammy was. My little girl is 22 months old and doesn’t take easily to people so I was a little apprehensive but it was important to me that my parents and I could relax on the wedding day.

Sammy was absolutely incredible. Mabel took to her straight away and Sammy was her safe space throughout the entire event! All Mabel’s needs were met, she was fed, napped, entertained and looked beautiful thanks to Sammy all day long. I cannot tell you how relaxed I felt knowing Sammy was there. Do not second guess booking Sammy - just do it immediately it will be the best thing you do!

I cannot and and nor do I wish to imagine how different the day would have been if we didn’t have Sammy. When you have a child the wedding you once imagined changes somewhat as you now have a little person at the centre of your world but having Sammy allowed me to be a bride for the day rather than feeling torn between that and being a mum.

My son was just shy of turning one, and as much as we wanted him to be part of our wedding day, we also wanted to relax and enjoy the day we’d planned — some proper “mum and dad time.” I didn’t want any of our family or friends missing out, worrying, or not being able to let their hair down. And let’s be honest — a newly one-year-old doesn’t want to sit at a table for dinner; he wants to explore and be free!

Sammy was amazing. She came early, gave him breakfast, took him for a walk, helped with his nap, and got him dressed so our whole morning ran smoothly. Throughout the day she noticed things even I might have missed — when he was getting tired, overstimulated, or just needed some quiet time.

She fed him, cared for him, and kept an eye on him while still letting him be part of the day — spending time with me, my husband, our family, and guests. She honestly went above and beyond and felt like part of the family.

I trusted her completely, and my wedding day would have been very different without her.
If you’re considering booking Sammy do it now! You won’t regret it.

We had Sammy at our wedding on 12th September to help with our almost 2 year old son. She was absolutely amazing and I could not recommend her enough. My son immediately took to her which isn’t like him at all, and she basically took care of all his need while she was there and I didn’t have to worry once.

She was super friendly and professional and communicated with me right up to the wedding. I’m so glad we had her and it made our day so so much easier. We actually do not know what we would have done with out her.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible babysitting service provided on our wedding day. Sammy was absolutely fantastic at looking after our daughters, Elvie and Mabel, from the afternoon into the evening.

From the moment she arrived, Sammy engaged the girls with warmth and energy, instantly making them feel comfortable and excited. Her creativity and experience shone through and kept Elvie and Mabel entertained throughout the day. It was such a relief knowing that our daughters were in loving and capable hands while we celebrated.

Not only did Sammy maintain a caring and playful atmosphere, but she also handled everything with professionalism and ease. Her attentiveness and genuine affection for the girls made all the difference, allowing us to fully enjoy our wedding without worry.

We highly recommend Sammy for any family looking for a trustworthy and nurturing babysitter. We are beyond grateful for her help in making our special day memorable for everyone, including our little ones!

Sammy looked after our 5 month old during our wedding day. She gave us such peace of mind and our daughter was so relaxed with her from the start. We wanted our daughter with us at times during our wedding and Sammy was so helpfully flexible with this. Also Sammy knew just when to request our assistance and that created a huge amount of trust in her instincts and ability. She was an essential part of making our wedding day special.

I'm so glad that we had Sammy helping us on our big day. It was busier than we ever imagined and knowing that the children were happily playing or safely asleep was such a big relief. Sammy was friendly, professional and responsive from the outset and the children took to her straight away. We can't thank her enough, highly reccomend

When planning our wedding we realised we just wouldn’t enjoy it if we knew our toddler was unsettled and running riot round our venue.

We booked Sammy and from the get-go she was incredible! She was so calm and laid-back with our crazy little one year-old (almost 2). She spent the whole day following him around and making sure he was happy and settled which gave us peace of mind to enjoy our special day knowing he was being so well looked after.

Halfway through the day after dinner, he even started smiling when she came to collect him, as if she had become his friend and he looked forward to seeing her face and got to have another play with her - which speaks volumes!

I would definitely recommend Sammy for anyone’s wedding who is worried about their small child.

Weddings aren’t the greatest for little people, but knowing he was having a lovely day and kept fed, watered, clean and happy just made our day 👌🏻

Sammy looked after our children aged 3,2 & 11 month old all day and throughout the night till morning. Nothing was too much for her and the kids loved her she was amazing made our day a lot easier having an extra pair of hands!!

Sammy and her partner were amazing at our wedding. They were looking after our 5 year old son and our 6 other nieces and nephews. I couldn’t recommend them enough, it truly was one of the best decisions we made to have her support during the food and night do. Myself and my husband were at complete ease knowing the kids were looked after safe and entertained as did our siblings. Everyone commented how brilliant they were with each of the kids. True child whisperers and we can’t thank them enough!

Sammy was a fantastic wedding sitter for our recent wedding. She had a great rapport with the children (aged 7, 5 and 4) instantly and was able to just blend into the background and be available when needed. It allowed us to relax and really enjoy our day to its fullest. I would highly recommend her service. Thanks again, Sammy! ❤️

Sammy was absolutely amazing from start to finish, I felt so comfortable leaving my children 3 & 6 months with her for the day, they could still interact with us whenever they wanted to but sammy was there to help out when it all got a bit much for them and they needed some quiet time.
I’d say this was the best decision we made! 100% worth it to make your day run smoothly if you have little ones and it takes the stress away panicking about them, she is a real life Angel! Xx

We didn’t even know wedding sitters existed until my friend mentioned it. I searched on Hitched and found a few to enquire with and soon realised that this was something we absolutely needed as Nana would potentially miss key parts our day.

We chose Sammy due to her experience and brilliant reviews and it was the best decision we made. Our little boy isn’t the easiest to deal and but Sammy’s SEN experience definitely shone through.

Prior to booking, Sammy was prompt at replying, answering any questions we had and putting our minds at ease. We had a video call and she came to meet us nearer the wedding day to get to know us. Sammy listened to his needs, quirks and routine and made sure she stuck to his routine on the day while still allowing him to be part of the wedding. She blended in to the background and knew when to step in before he became overwhelmed. She even ensured he was dressed prior to the ceremony!

She stayed over at the venue, caring for him overnight and handed him over to Nana at the agreed time the next day. I got a full handover from Sammy to say how he had been overnight and she even packed away his travel cot and belongings.

She definitely went above and beyond. we can’t thank her enough for allowing us to enjoy our day knowing that our son was being cared for while still being a part of the celebrations.
