Stuart, the owner & founder of Morrell Music, has decades of experience performing at weddings, parties, pubs, clubs, & festivals all over the country and has developed contacts with amazing DJs & pianists.

Stuart moved to Cornwall in 2017 after deciding to go solo as a wedding DJ, making a change from playing bass & keyboards in function bands. Over the years, Stuart developed a reputation as a reliable, professional, personable DJ, as well as meeting some other top DJs along the way. This resulted in Stuart becoming a recommended supplier at two hotels in Carbis Bay & St. Ives. In 2024, Stuart brought together the best DJs he met since moving to Cornwall to create Morrell Music. In 2025, Stuart decided to apply his skills as a pianist adding another music option to Morrell Music.

What is included in the wedding package?

My wedding package includes an evening of DJ entertainment (usually 7pm-midnight), unlimited contact via email, one in-person meeting or video call

How far in advance should I contact you?

We take bookings up to two years in advance, however, contact can be made much closer to the event if needed, and we will try our best to accommodate you

Yes, we can cater to any needs. Just ask. Our pianist can learn any song you would like

What's your experience?

Our DJs have between 10-20 years experience! Performing everything from hotels, pubs, clubs, bars, & festivals. Our pianist has 15 years experience performing many venues, and many genres

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

No

Can you travel?

Yes, generally Devon, & Cornwall. Can travel further afield, but this will incur additional costs

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, there will be a charge of 45p/mile for fuel if the round trip is more than 100 miles

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

With a team

What is the length of time of the act?

This is dependant on the needs of the customer and what they need for their day

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

For a DJ set I can prepare very quickly in advance of the gig, on the day I require up to 1 hour for set up

Do you do open-air acts?

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

This charge is worked out beforehand depending on what is wanted by the customer. Between midnight - 1am is £100. 1am onwards is £200 per hour

DJ for our wedding

Stuart DJ’d for our wedding providing a mixture of songs ranging from 80/90s/00s and current music. He played all of our favourite songs and kept the party going all night. He was professional,approachable and flexible as we asked him to also work along side a band we hired and he provided seamless transitions.

Don't think twice!

My partner and I hired Stuart to DJ our wedding. He was very organised, which we really appreciated when we were planning our wedding and had many things to juggle. We met with him a few weeks before the wedding to let him know our preferences (we wanted to avoid some of the more traditional wedding music, and my partner and I have very different music tastes), and he was very friendly and put our minds at ease. The wedding night was a blast - the dance floor was packed all night and our guests are still talking about what a great DJ he was! Our experience was smooth and easy from start to finish, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Morrrell Music to anyone.

Wonderful DJ!

We were lucky enough to choose Morrell Music for our wedding. We were a little worried as we only had a smaller wedding, but our amazing DJ had everybody up dancing until the end of the night!

Carbis Bay Hotel Wedding

Stuart provided a great night of our favourite music. He didn’t need a playlist from us, just a 10 minute phone call to get an idea of what we liked and our favourite genres of music. He was really easy going throughout and we loved every minute of the night

Amazing Experience

Stuart was soo lovely and warming throughout the entire process - not only DJ'ing at our Wedding but also merging two songs together and creating our epic first dance song. Definitely a memory to cherish forever - Stuart made everyone get off their seats and danced all night long, could not recommend enough!

Highly recommended - dance floor was packed all night :)

Highly recommended! We We hired Stuart for our wedding a few weeks ago and we were both so impressed with the whole service. The zoom meet initially was excellent and Stuart put our minds at ease with clear communications, expectations, and guidance.
On the night Stuart was outstanding! The dance floor was packed the entire night. He listened to what we wanted and over delivered on an incredible set. Truly the best dance floor I've been on.

Absolutely the best!

Stuart was amazing from start to finish! His equipment is top quality and it all sounded great! Stuart was super organised, everything ran smoothly, we didn't need to worry about a thing. Our wedding guests loved the music, Stuart played all requested music, we didn't want the night to end. We had the BEST time! We would 100% Morrell music to everyone!!

Danced the night away!

Stuart was a great Dj! We all danced the night away from the moment the music started! Such a great playlist of our favourite songs. Had great communication with video calls. Shared a playlist of what we liked and Stuart was spot on with expanding it into a fantastic night! Highly recommended having Stuart for your wedding! 10/10!
