I'm Glad Jay Crashed The Wedding - From Busted Beverages to Beaming Bride (in 3 hours!!!)
I called around for an hour, but many suppliers failed to grasp the urgency of the situation, instead throwing 'red tape' and contract talk at us.
Just as all hope was lost, and we were resigned to the fact that our two sets of family members might actually have to interact sober - a hero came along, lubricating us with the strength to carry on.
Was it a bird? Was it a plane? No - it was Jay and his magical bar on wheels! Granted, I got lucky. I called at a time when he had decided to take an evening off - and I'm so glad he let me ruin that for him!
Within an hour of hanging up the phone, our white knight arrived in his stainless steel carriage, kitted out with enough alcohol to keep the respective Catholic and Protestant Irish families singing songs into the wee hours.
He and his staff were as efficient as they were warm and friendly. He even indulged the father of the bride in one too many verses of "Whisky-In-The-Jar-O".
His payment terms were reasonable and the bill was easy to settle, which is a rarity these days!
Jay didn't just save the wedding, he helped us avoid a potential diplomatic incident - and for this we are all eternally grateful!

Meet the team
I’m the one hauling Saddle Bar across the country and somehow keeping it all running (most of the time). I started this whole thing because I love a good party and even more, I love being the reason people remember it.
From weddings to festivals, I’m usually behind the bar, chatting nonsense with guests, fixing last-minute chaos, and making sure no one’s holding an empty drink for too long.
If something’s gone slightly off-plan… don’t worry, I’ve already dealt with it (probably with a drink in hand).
Go-to drink: Spiced Rum & Coke or a Guiness
Fun fact: Once served a famous actor and absolutely kept my cool!
I’m usually the calm one behind the bar… until it gets busy, then I’m still calm but moving very fast. I love a good chat, a good crowd, and making sure everyone’s got exactly what they need (usually another drink).
Weddings are my favourite, there’s something about being part of such a big day that never gets old. Whether I’m pouring drinks, keeping things running smoothly, or just handing over tissues at the right moment, I’ve got you.
And if things really go off-script… I can actually step in and marry you. No pressure.
Go-to drink: A glass of Prosecco or Aperol Sprits

I like to think I run a smooth operation… but there’s always a bit of chaos involved (mostly intentional). If there’s a crowd, I’m in my element, quick pours, bad jokes, and somehow remembering what you ordered three rounds ago.
