Yvette is amazing, I can't recommend her enough. We still practice our wedding dance 1 year on! She really tailored the dance to us, and it was a really fun part of the preparations amongst the stress of planning a wedding. She's absolutely lovely and if you're on the fence you should definitely go for it!

Cannot thank Yvette and the FABULOUS Emma in The Next Step Co. for all of their help and magic giving myself and my husband dance lessons on the run up to our wedding! They made us feel super confident and capable when neither of us are natural dancers! With the 3 dance class and struggling to get dates in the diary on the run up they were so accommodating and the dance went superbly! Helped so much having videos of our final rehearsal and also Emma brilliantly broke down all the dance steps to each part of the music for us to go over in the days before the wedding when we were practising! It's fair to say we had an absolute ball and with a bit of practice on the run up to the wedding day we felt SO much happier enjoying the moment when we knew what we were up to. Wanted to wait to get some photos back before posting this but I think you can tell we had a great time!

My husband and I had a couple of first dance lessons in the run up to our wedding, led by the wonderful Fran.

She was so unbelievably patient with us. Her approach was playful and professional, so we had lots of fun and actually learned how to do the dancing we needed to do. She helped push us to be better, whilst keeping the session really fun and light! Loved working with her and the dance was perfect!

Ivette was exactly what we were looking for. He was a first time dancer and felt right at home after just a couple of sessions. A warm, funny and patient personality made him genuallly look forward to the sessions. Thank you Ivette we will miss you!

Fran and Yvette were amazing. This was exactly what we were looking for - the ability to learn and practice a dance in the comfort of our own home. The dance was perfect to our needs, easy for my partner to learn who’s never had any dance training before, and we had so many compliments. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

We had the pleasure of taking lessons with Fran ahead of our wedding in April 2024.

Fran was extremely approachable and cheerful and had truly endless patience with us, especially as we were both very busy at work and had only limited time to practise in our own time.

Fran worked out very quickly which methods worked with each of us and taught us the various steps individually and then as part of sequences. She planned out a beautiful choreography for our chosen song and we managed to learn it in 5 lessons!

Fran was super flexible when scheduling lessons, working around our timetables and within the limited time ahead of our wedding (we only started lessons about 5 weeks out from the wedding). We had the lessons in the communal studio in the gym in our building which was super convenient, and for our final lesson the night before the wedding Fran came to our wedding venue where we could practice on the actual dance floor, which was incredibly helpful! Fran always made sure we got through the material for the lesson, helping us film ourselves and writing out the steps on text so we could go back over it in our own time, which really helped us make progress in the final weeks.

Needless to say, Fran was right and we absolutely aced the dance on the wedding day. Everything was perfect, including the lean, the lift and the dip, and our guests were super impressed. We can't stop re-watching video clips of our first dance and are so glad we decided to go for a choreographed first dance.

We highly recommend Fran to anyone thinking about learning a choreographed first dance - just do it! You won't regret it!

As two novices we were very nervous about having a first dance and wanted it over with in 30 seconds. Yvette changed all of that, she took us step by step over four lessons and completely transformed a very bland dance into one that our guests loved. Yvette was kind, extremely patient and very flexible to our suggestions and worked tirelessly with us to make sure it went well. We cannot recommend her and the company enough for any couple wanting a special first dance. We are so grateful to her and the team!

We reached out to Yvette at the Next Step Company 3 or 4 weeks before the wedding day, as I (groom) am registered. blind and started to get nervous about dancing in front of so many people with no dance experience. We booked 3 sessions with Yvette at our flat, and already after session 1, I had gained so much confidence. Yvette is a wonderful teacher with so much patience and attention to detail. Not only did she tailor the dance to our wishes and abilities, but she was fantastic at explaining the different moves and positions in a way that both my partner and I could understand. She also spent extra time choreographing a routine for us in her own time, working out moves that would go with specific lyrics and parts of the song, and also provided edited versions of the track and alternative ideas for how we could do it. I could honestly not recommend this service highly enough. Everyone at our wedding said the first dance was an absolute highlight and they couldn't believe we pulled off the routine we did, featuring spins, a lift and a dip. Absolutely fantastic and I now want to go back and learn some more dances!

She took the time to make sure we felt comfortable with each step and gave us a proper foundation of the basics before moving into the more complex moves.
