Yvette made our first dance a wonderful experience! I come from a dance background, and my now-husband... does not. We wanted something that would fit us both - enough choreography and sparkle for me, and simple enough to keep him feeling confident. Yvette's choreography was a perfect blend between the two. Natural enough to not feel cringey or cheesy, but enough razzle dazzle for me to show off. We got so many compliments on the dance and even some gasps at the lift!
Yvette first helped us both feel confident in the basic moves, then we worked together to create a dance that felt like us. She's an excellent teacher and really fun to be around, which is important when you're spending hours together.
I would so highly recommend The Next Step Co! -

Nick and I never really considered doing a proper first dance at our wedding as we are not the biggest movers and shakers but when Nick surprised me with a dance lesson I was so shocked but thought let's give it a go! Having that first lesson with Yvette was so much fun, she quickly understood what would work for us and built up a simple yet showstopping routine that we could actually remember! She was so patient with us, her personality is just infectious and you can really see she absolutely loves what she does and wanted to make sure we had not only had a good routine but had the best time doing it! We ended up getting a second lesson just make sure we nailed it and honestly the feeling of doing the lift during our first dance was just AMAZING, everyone absolutely loved it and went crazy for us! I can't thank Yvette enough! 1) I would absolutely consider getting a choreographed dance for your first dance at a wedding and 2) I would absolutely recommend Yvette to help! -

We used the Next Step for our wedding dance and it was simply fantastic - Yvette came to our house for lessons and they were a highlight of the week. She was fun and helpful, especially as I am a terrible dancer but she developed a great routine that we loved, adapting it as we progressed. She gave us great tips for on the day and it went so well, we received so many compliments on our dance and mainly we had so much fun together. Thank you for helping make our first dance and day so special! -

So professional from the start.
Flexible with times as we could not do weekdays
Came to our home and we felt comfortable throughout the process
Edited our music to match the dance
Took us from stepping on toes to a full choreographed dance piece in just 3 hours.
Could not recommend Yvette enough! -

The best decision I’ve ever made!
Private dance lessons were the best decision I’ve ever made. The lessons were fun and gave us both something to enjoy before the wedding. Yvette taught my partner who really can’t dance how to not only Waltz, but spin me and even do fun lifts! Now every chance he gets he’s showing off his skills. But the absolute best is that our wedding dance was truly incredible, we felt confident and we still practice our dance today. Yvette is the best instructor I’ve ever worked with. I recommend her 100x over -

The best dance coach!!
In the run up to our wedding, my fiancé was really nervous about our first dance. As someone with no dance background, he wanted to feel confident and enjoy himself on the day. We got in touch with Fran who provided a 90 min dance class for both of us. She was absolutely fantastic - encouraging, patient, and adaptable to our level of dance experience. Because of her, we were able to enjoy a great first dance routine on our wedding day and our guests loved it too! I can’t recommend Fran enough - thank you for all you do!!! -

We booked Yvette to help us create a first dance for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made! We both had absolutely no dancing experience (two left feet!), but she was so encouraging, lovely and made everything so much fun. She created a beautiful choreography to our chosen song and taught us step by step in our living room—those lessons became one of our favourite parts of the entire wedding preparation.
On the big day, we felt confident, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyed every moment of our dance. We couldn’t have asked for better. Highly, highly recommend her! -

We can’t thank Fran enough for her dance lessons! We had enthusiasm but zero dance knowledge and we put our full faith in her to work some magic with us, which she absolutely did ✨
Over multiple lessons she taught us the basics and seamlessly turned the simple steps we’d learned into a routine a million times more impressive than anything we could have put together ourselves.
We had so many compliments on our first dance, it was choreographed enough to feel elevated but relaxed enough that we still felt like ourselves and were able to enjoy it on the day. The energy was so high when we went into the final lift with all our family and friends cheering, and it’s a moment from our wedding day we’ll never forget 🥰 -

Fran is an incredible teacher! She made the most of the time we had together at our home. She helped both of us to feel confident in what we were doing and we both absolutely loved it! When my fiance hurt his back just before the wedding she gave us 3 extra options to adjust the dance - going above and beyond! Would absolute recommend her to anyone thinking about making their wedding day extra special. -
