Best Wedding Dance Lessons!
We had such a wonderful experience with The Next Step Co UK for our wedding first dance lessons. Our very first trial session in London with Yvette was amazing. She made us feel so comfortable and confident right from the start. We then continued our lessons in Oxfordshire (closer to home) with Felicity, who was absolutely fantastic.
Felicity choreographed a beautiful routine for us for our August wedding and taught us our dance lifts with so much patience, encouragement and skill. She took us from complete beginners to genuinely confident dancers, and made every lesson enjoyable. We genuinely looked forward to each session. On the day itself, our dance went perfectly, and so many of our guests complimented it.
Overall, a huge thank you to the team at The Next Step Co UK. You made this part of our wedding journey so special, and we’re incredibly grateful. Highly recommend.

First Dance Lessons
Yvette took us from beginners who didn't know where to start, to feeling proud of our first dance - it became one of our favourite memories of the day! Yvette helped us to get the right mix for our music to fit the steps and designed the choreography to suit our preferences and skill level. We wanted to include a spinning lift as our final move, and she helped us make sure we felt confident enough to show it off on the day! I highly recommend working with Next Step Co. if you want lessons for your first dance that fit around your schedule and instructors who work with you to create lasting memories.

Lessons with Yvette
Yvette came to a local studio in Windsor to teach my wife and I our first dance, to Everytime we Touch by Cascada. We already had an idea on the cadence, but Yvette did a lot of on-the-fly audio editing to create the perfect track for us. We had absolutely no dancing background at all, but within 3 lessons I was able to do a one arm reverse spin with my wife. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

100% would recommend!
100% would recommend Yvette from The Next Step Co. My partner and I have 2 left feet (well more me than him) we researched a few companies and Yvette kindly reached out, she came to our house, we booked a 3x 1 hour lessons, but would have preferred more...but we ran out of time! The guests were amazed by the dance and we had an amazing time doing it (with minimal mistakes)
Yvette was very flexible with is and showed genuine care to help us get it right, her prices were reasonable and 100% worth it!
We are so grateful for what you've taught us and making our 1st dance memorable, not only for us, but all our guests!

An amazing and personalised experience in the comfort of your own home!
We had such an amazing experience with Yvette and The Next Step when we learnt our first dance. I have always known that when I got married I didn’t want an awkward “stand and sway” first dance. But with my husband having no dancing experience and me having danced for most of my childhood, I knew that having the right person help us with our dance was key to making it fun for both of us. Yvette exactly that right person!!
She was brilliant at making my husband feel so comfortable and would also encourage us to try more complex lifts and dips to make our dance more fun as we progressed through our lessons which I loved.
Definitely an added bonus was having the lessons at home. It fitted well into our busy schedules and gave us more confidence to try things out. Yvette was also brilliant with giving us tips and tricks for the day itself, like when to turn the music on, where to ask the photographer to stand and asking a few guests to video etc.
We still get compliments from our guest about our first dance over 2 years later and more importantly me and my husband still do our dance in our living room every few months because we love it so much.

The best wedding first dance classes! 🌟
Had the most amazing dancing masterclass with Yvette! My now-husband and I were very much lacking in both confidence and experience when it came to the first dance, but after just a couple of private sessions, we not only knew the steps, but also had an entire routine tailored perfectly to our chosen first dance song. Yvette made us both feel so comfortable and at ease, but especially my husband, who had never really danced before. What was also ideal was that Yvette came to us in our own home, which was so comfortable and convenient (especially as I am pregnant!). She really made each lesson feel bespoke to us, and gave us plenty of great tips to practice in our own time too. What we initially wanted for our first dance was to not just sway there awkwardly, but what we got was so much more - a first dance that was flowing and co-ordinated and genuinely impressed our guests… and most importantly of all, something we were no longer nervous about but truly enjoyed and cherished, both in the moment and looking back now. 100% worth every penny!

Go for it! You won't regret it.
We loved our time with Felicity, she came up with a manageable routine for us complete novices (even though we had to adapt it due to dress dramas!). Whilst we were nervous it gave us a confidence to be in front of everyone and lots of people said nice things afterwards.

Wedding first dance
We had a really great experience with Fran for our wedding first dance. Fran took us from the basics to performing lifts with confidence. The team were really professional and organised, we had lessons in our living room and it worked really well. The lessons were one of the highlights of the wedding build up. Would absolutely recommend.

Best dance teachers around!
We couldn’t recommend The Next Step and Yvette more! We had 4 private lessons in the run up to our wedding and Yvette was so patient and personable throughout - she listened to our preferences, taught us things we didn’t think we could do, and made the lesson so fun! The routine we learnt was perfect for us, and our first dance was definitely a big highlight of our day! Even if you don’t want to do a full choreographed first dance, get a lesson with Yvette and she will make you feel so confident and at ease before your big day!

It was so worth it!
We were so worried about our first dance, but we also didn't want to do a cheesy choreographed dance. Felicity came to our house for 1 session and showed us how to stand, how to move and even how to do some spins. It made us feel so much more confident and comfortable.

Make your first dance one to remember!
We had an amazing experience. Yvette was super helpful in getting our lessons booked in and mixing a version of our track to dance to. The wonderful Fran was appointed as our dance teacher; for lessons, she came to our flat, which was super convenient and made us very comfortable. We had SO much fun learning our toolbox of moves, then putting our dance together. Fran broke down the steps really well, was incredibly encouraging and made everything so much fun. Not to mention an amazing choreographer and super talented. We loved the whole experience of learning our dance, practicing it and then performing it at our wedding- we loved listening to the crowd’s oohs and ahhhs. We had so many compliments on how amazing our dance was, which was down to the Next Step, helping us put our best foot forward. As such, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend - our dance lessons were always something we always looked forward to amidst the wedmin. Thank you so much Fran & Yvette!
