Meet the team
Well where do I start. My name is Darren Brand and I was born in the early 70s and I lived in Sheffield until 1998.I went to Brunswick school followed by Aston comprehensive both in Sheffield. I did a couple of years at Dinnington College and since my early teens I loved my times larking about on the CB radio making lots of lifelong friends with many adventures on the way. I first of all had a YTS scheme apprenticeship, then went into quality control that's an engineering firm in Harrthill. After being there for a few years I went travelling around Australia for five months. On my return I became a manager of Barn Farm campsite, in Birchover, Derbyshire. I met my future mother-in-law there as she was staying with her second cousin and the year after she visited again with her daughter – Tina who became my wife in 1999. I have lived in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire since 1998 and in the year 2000 we had our first child Kate, followed by Gina, Ellie and Harry along with our three dogs trixie, Luna and Sasha who are all Cockapoos and three generations (mum, daughter and granddaughter). I worked in the motor trade industry mainly at one place for 15 years and then another for three years. I have always been interested in and dabled in MAGIC since I was at school not knowing that one day it would be my full-time career. My wife says to me being a magician isn't a job because I love every aspect of it, receiving enquiries, chasing enquiries, travelling around the country, entertaining but more than anything meeting such lovely people who booked me and those at events some of which have now become lifelong friends. If I won the lottery and never needed to work again I will still go out and entertain with my magic simply because of the pleasure and shere delight i see on peoples face. I perform and entertain with Matt Magic at most every opportunity. I still play football to this day and up until two years ago when I took a slight injury I was playing six times a week.
