Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, I bring my writing experience and professional expertise to your celebration. Whether you're dreaming of beachy vibes, a rocking festival, ancient traditions, something alternative or a ceremony that reflects YOU, I will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your stories and is completely unique to you.

Having trained with the fabulous and award-winning Kate D and Kate T at 'Match and Dispatch', I am passionate about creating a bespoke ceremony that reflects the central lore of your story.

I've worked for 20 years as an English teacher in secondary schools, both in Dorset and Hertfordshire. If I can wrangle a bunch of truculent, belligerent teenagers on a wet Friday afternoon to engage with Shakespeare, there is nothing about your ceremony that I can't handle!

I bring years of writing expertise and the practical skills that make a ceremony run smoothly — I know how to hold a room, put people at ease, and guide a group with clarity and confidence. I'm used to reading the mood, adapting in the moment, and keeping things flowing even when the unexpected happens. I listen closely, notice the details that matter, and shape them into a ceremony that feels unique to you and genuine. Above all, I create a space where everyone feels welcome and where you can relax, knowing the heart of your story is in safe, capable hands.

It is so important to me to get to know you before the big day and give you the chance to get to know me, too. You have complete approval of everything I do, so I won't mention something you're not comfortable with.

Ceremonies can be incredibly complex. You may want traditional elements, or you may want to include non-traditional elements such as a hand-fasting or a sand ceremony, jumping over a Besom broom or a sing-along. There are many other cultural or spiritual elements you will want to consider or talk to me about, including.

Each ceremony takes hours of research, writing, meetings and preparation before the big day. I write each bespoke script from scratch based on our conversations. Every element of your ceremony is well thought through to reflect you, your memories and your story!

As an Independent Celebrant, I believe in freedom of choice. I offer ceremonies for couples with a belief system, mixed-faith couples, and those looking for something non-religious.
