We cannot recommend David at Acorn2Oak Ceremonies highly enough. From our very first conversation, David made the entire process feel easy, calm, and genuinely enjoyable. He guided us through everything with such warmth and professionalism, taking away any stress and making us feel completely at ease.
David clearly cares deeply about the couples he works with. He took the time to get to know us and our story, and that care came through beautifully in the ceremony. One of the most special touches was his effort to speak in different languages during the ceremony, which meant so much to us and our families and made the moment feel even more personal and inclusive.
So many of our guests commented on how wonderful the ceremony was, with particular praise for how thoughtful, meaningful, and heartfelt David’s words were. It was clear to everyone that this was not a generic service, but something carefully crafted just for us.

We cannot recommend David Willis of Acorn 2 Oak Ceremonies highly enough. From our very first consultation, David immediately put both me and my wife at ease. He was warm, approachable, and genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple, which made the whole process feel relaxed and enjoyable from the start.
David took the time to gather personalised details about our story, our values, and what mattered most to us, and he used these beautifully within the ceremony. He made it clear that the ceremony was ours and gave us complete freedom to personalise it so it felt right for us as Mr and Mrs Kaywood. His guidance was invaluable, and throughout the entire process he was calm, reassuring, and incredibly helpful.
On the day itself, 31st October 2025, David was absolutely fantastic. He conducted the ceremony flawlessly, with warmth, confidence, and the perfect balance of professionalism, emotion and humour—keeping things heartfelt without ever feeling heavy, and light-hearted without taking away from the importance of the moment. He truly helped make our wedding day feel special, meaningful, and memorable, not just for us but for everyone attending.

My husband and I opted for a fairly small ceremony at Chester Town Hall for our wedding, and wanted to find a celebrant who could provide a personalised and well-written service with just enough humour, warmth and 'seriousness' - David ticked all our boxes! Warm, professional and attentive, David offered lots of options for us to choose from for our wedding ceremony, resulting in a fabulous occasion which felt just right for us.
David is communicative and calm which are both vital attributes whilst planning a wedding...! We were kept in the loop throughout the planning period, and any questions were answered quickly and thoroughly.

David's ceremony captured our relationship and story so far perfectly. We wanted a celebrant who had conviction and presence without being too theatrical or corny and David certainly accomplished this. He made us feel at total ease during the planning process and was professional and courteous throughout. He even dealt with an intruding hornet halfway through the ceremony with such effect the whole congregation gave him a round of applause! We would recommend David to anyone who wants a ceremony with authenticity, laid back vibes and lots of personal touches.Acorn 2 Oak Ceremonies's reply:

Exactly what we wanted!
David took the time to know us, understand the kind of people we are and type of ceremony we wanted. He was very careful to make any wording changes exact to our request and delivered the ceremony without fault. His style was warm and relaxed while still commanding the attention of the "room" which in our case was a field!
We had comments from our guests that he was the best wedding celebrant they had seen and pitched our ceremony just right for us.
