Hello! I’m Nicola Norrie, Celebrant and Marriage Officer with Celebrants Scotland. After a successful and rewarding 25-year corporate career, I decided it was time for a new adventure—so in 2020, I swapped office life for officiating and spreadsheets for ceremonies. Best decision ever.
As a Marriage Officer, I have the privilege of officiating legal wedding ceremonies and what an absolute honour that it. But more than that nothing brings me more pleasure than bringing your story to life to share with everyone who is important to you. Creating magical memorable ceremonies that capture your love pefectly. With heartfelt words, laughter, joy and maybe just a wee bit of mischeif.
Home for me is near the beautiful Loch Lomond in Alexandria, where I live with my husband and our two wonderful children, Emily and Iain. Family time is precious so we always make the most of it although, if you’re ever looking for me on the weekends I’m not working, I’ll probably be standing freezing at the side of a rugby pitch, cheering on the kids of the Loch Lomond Rugby Club where I also serve as Club Secretary.
When I do get a rare quiet moment, you’ll find me lost in an audiobook (I’m always looking for recommendations), rewatching Harry Potter for the hundredth time, or catching up with friends over good food (because calories don’t count when you’re laughing).
If you’re looking for a celebrant who will listen, understand, and help you create a ceremony that truly reflects your journey—with a sprinkle of humour and a whole lot of heart—I’d be honoured to work with you to create something wonderful.
