I’m Jane, a Master Celebrant with a love for storytelling and a background working for some of the world’s most well-known film studios.

For over two decades, I worked in the world of communications, employee experience design, and events. I’ve crafted event scripts, presented on stage, collaborated with event teams, and know exactly how to keep things calm, clear, and beautifully on track.

I bring that same blend of creativity, warmth, and organisation to my work as a celebrant. Whether we’re planning a ceremony that’s heartfelt, joyful, reflective or all the above, I’ll help you tell your story, or the story of your loved one, in a way that feels authentic to you.

About Me:

I’m Jane Roques-Shaw (pronounced Rock-Sure) and I’m passionate about living every moment meaningfully and helping others do the same.

The inspiration to become a Celebrant arose from the sudden loss of my husband when we were both just 46 years old. Working with a kind and compassionate celebrant on his funeral showed me how vital this role can be, inspiring me to train as an Accredited Independent Master Celebrant through the Academy of Modern Celebrancy.

I've attended MANY weddings over the years - from large, magnificent spectacles to low key intimate affairs (even ceremonies over Zoom during Covid). All of them were filled with love, joy, hope and lots of fun!

Now, I bring together everything I’ve learned in life, love, loss and my two decade long career in storytelling, employee experience design and event management to help people celebrate or commemorate their most meaningful moments with warmth, ease and (hopefully) a little humour.
