My couples describe me as friendly, warm and easy going - creating relaxed ceremonies with love and laughter! Nothing is too much trouble and I will spend as much time as it takes to get it right for you. If you are a bit of a Nervous Nellie or an Anxious Andy, I’ve got you – with lots of secret tips and ideas to help you through your ceremony.
I’m a story teller extraordinaire – uncovering and capturing all the little details – funny, irritating, joyful – and weaving them into your own bespoke love story.
Got ideas for your big day? Bring them on! I love to listen, make suggestions and be flexible so I can create YOUR ceremony based on what YOU want.
Want to get married on a secluded beach, a forest, up a mountain, in a barn, a grand hotel or perhaps even a home wedding? I’m up for that! Want to have your doggo at the ceremony or bring them to our meetings – no problem (in fact it’s a big yes from me!) I will guide you through the whole process - from the initial meeting, to the legal paperwork, to the aye do's! Wherever, whenever, however – I’ll be there…
If you are looking for an intimate elopement or a simple micro wedding with only your nearest and dearest - these are my speciality! I can suggest a variety of beautiful Scottish locations as well as guide you through all the practicalities of the day - I even have some very special wedding suppliers I can suggest...
By the time your big day is here, I'll be that reassuring friend whose ready to help you kick start your celebrations!

10 stars - best celebrant we could have asked for!
From the very beginning, she supported us with multiple video calls, helped us coordinate all the little details, and genuinely made us feel so cared for. Her husband, Jack, was even our driver on the day - Jack was also absolutely fantastic and was such a calm, friendly and helpful presence.
Janine guided us through the entire process, answered every question, and organised the sweetest picnic for us after our ceremony. Janine incorporated my husbands Māori culture in our ceremony as well as some Scottish traditions for my heritage - it made the day feel so personal, thoughtful, and special.
Janine wrote the most beautiful ceremony script, capturing our relationship perfectly with a little giggle throughout - which was exactly what we wanted! It felt like she truly understood us, even from the other side of the world. We enjoyed Janine and Jacks company so much that we’ll definitely keep in touch and plan on catching up with them when we go back to Scotland for our five year wedding anniversary.
Our elopement in Scotland was an absolute dream, and so much of that is because of Janine. We are endlessly grateful and would recommend Janine to anyone looking for a warm, genuine, and exceptionally dedicated celebrant.

So so grateful to have met Janine🩷
She told our story not like someone who had only known us for a year, but almost like she’d been in our lives all along — knowing us both separately and as a couple. She took the time to really listen, to hear us, and to focus on the things that mattered most. She even suggested ways to bring my culture (I’m Iraqi) into the ceremony. We weren’t sure how to weave that into a humanist ceremony, but she went away, did her own research, and came back with beautiful ideas. It was such a thoughtful and personal touch.
It feels wrong to end this by saying “we’d highly recommend Janine,” because that sounds far too transactional. Janine hasn’t just been our celebrant — she’s felt like someone close to us throughout the whole journey, and for that we’ll always be so thankful.
The perfect wedding!
Right from the start the communication was brilliant, she really cares about getting to know you and all of the small details - we had multiple zoom calls where we chatted through our life, our stories and just general chit chat too. She is incredibly funny, full of character and so lovely! We were very nervous but she put us both at ease - Janine couldn’t do enough for you and will help you prepare for your big day
Also very dog friendly, she made sure to include and make sure our dogs were part of the ceremony and equally as celebrated!
