I’m Simon, a celebrant based in Thirsk, in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire. I am available for wedding and vow renewal ceremonies throughout all of Yorkshire and beyond. Distance and location are no barriers to the beautiful, romantic ceremonies I offer.

I believe your ceremony should be the beating heart of your special day. A truly special, emotional, and joyful experience that reflects everything you are as a couple.

I specialise in creating bespoke wedding ceremonies and heartfelt vow renewals, written from scratch and tailored completely around you. No templates, no clichés, just your love, your story, and your style, told in a way that feels truly ‘you’.

I take time to get to know you both, your journey, your connection, the laughter and the tears, and everything that’s brought you to this moment. From our very first meeting, whether online or in person, I’ll work closely with you to shape a ceremony that feels warm, romantic, meaningful, and memorable for all the right reasons.

Your ceremony can include everything you’d expect, and so much more. From exchanging rings and writing beautiful personal vows, to readings from loved ones, any style of music, guest participation, laughter, jokes, and even a few heartfelt tears… absolutely nothing is off limits. (Well, maybe some things… it all depends on what you’d like me to do, say, or wear!)

Essentially, I’m up for anything to help make your ceremony truly perfect, and exactly the way you want it to be.

If you're looking to add something extra special to your ceremony, I also offer beautiful symbolic rituals, at no extra cost, other than the purchase of materials required. like the historic and heartfelt handfasting ceremony (literally ‘tying the knot’), the serene lighting of a unity candle, or the vibrant and visual sand blending ritual, to name just a few. These simple yet powerful moments can add a deeply visual and emotional touch, symbolising the joining of your lives, families, and futures, and involving loved ones too, if you wish.

Many ceremonies are rich with cultural or spiritual meaning, and I absolutely love the diversity and beautiful traditions I get to celebrate as a civil celebrant. It’s a joy and a privilege to honour these moments and weave them into a ceremony that’s truly personal and inclusive.
