A plea to Alec

Alec if you read or if anyone who knows Alec reads this can I plead with you that you get in contact with me, you have my details. You promised us so much, took our £2,000 and have ignored us ever since. I just want to know what the reason is behind you doing this. You have taken away the joy of planning our day and replaced it with stress and tears and we can’t get that back but I would hope you can find it in yourself to at least give me a call.

Avoid! Scam.

We booked with Alec Cruikshank and everything looked great until we provided the deposit and then he went silent. Stopped responding to all email and calls.
We've since had to contact the fraud team at the bank and have reported the business.
If you have booked the Pizza Box we recommend you do the same.

Do not use this caterer. It is not legit!

We were looking for a pizza van to cater for our evening. I put down a substantial booking deposit and when it came to arranging next steps he has completely ghosted me. I can see he is doing this to others. I am getting no response over email, phone, whatsapp etc. I will keep trying but my experience looks very similar to that of others on here. It's such a shame as the pizzas look fab! But, please do not book him. And Alec, if you are reading this, I would like my deposit back please.

£2000 gone

Alec took a £2k deposit from us and was never to be heard of again. So upset and we now cannot afford catering elsewhere so our wedding has been completely affected. I gave Alec so much time and grace to email us back with a plan to do our wedding or pay us back. Yet all phone lines, texts and emails have never been answered

Missing in action

Alec has taken a £600 deposit from us and now ghosted us entirely three weeks before our wedding.
No replies to emails, WhatsApp gone dead, phone disconnected.

Perfect experience

All the food was incredible. Alec was so efficient, kind and friendly which really added to the day. All of us were so happy with the whole experience. We highly recommend!

Completely Let Down on Our Wedding Day

Do not Hire!!

Alec did not turn up on our wedding day. He called our hotel in Ayrshire claiming to have broken down and was then unreachable. This resulted in a last minute scramble to find something to serve our guests in the evening and has left us out of pocket.

Alec is now not responding to any messages and we are over £1000 out of pocket as he did not issue an apology or refund.

The Most Amazing Pre Wedding Pizza!

Alex provided the pizza for the night before my daughter’s wedding at Achnagairn Castle last summer and the pizzas were phenomenal. I think he grows most of the ingredients himself and guests are still talking about his set up 9 months later . He provided fantastic desserts too . Can’t praise him enough !
