We had the most amazing experience and honestly couldn’t recommend First Press Hospitality highly enough!
The food was absolutely incredible. It was beautifully presented, full of flavour and there was such a fantastic variety. There was so much food, everyone was completely spoilt and we were left feeling very full! We all agreed it was some of the best food we’ve ever eaten, and it was definitely the highlight of our weekend.
From the start, James and Clara were so helpful and really took the time to listen to what we wanted, working with us to create a menu that was perfect for the occasion. They were also incredibly informative and handled everyone’s dietary requirements so thoughtfully, clearly explaining how the menu had been tailored for each person.
The whole evening was completely seamless. James was professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and even tidied everything away afterwards, which made the experience feel completely effortless for us.
We’ve already had several people asking for James’ contact details for future events, and we would absolutely use him again. If you’re considering a private chef, we couldn’t recommend him more highly. We had an amazing meal and a genuinely special experience! -

Highly recommend! Amazing Food & Great Service
Clara and James at First Press Hospitality helped make our entire wedding day so special! As massive foodies, we knew that amazing food had to be a big part of our day, and James absolutely delivered.
We had a few bespoke requests, including a cheesecake wedding cake, and James brought our vision to life perfectly. It was everything we could have hoped for and more!
Everything, from the quality of the food to the service, was faultless. This was especially impressive considering the venue had very limited space for James and the team to work with, but they still managed to deliver the most magnificent food. No one went hungry, and the feedback from our guests has been absolutely amazing!
A special thank you to Milena for running the front of house so brilliantly. We had numerous allergies to consider, and these were managed so professionally by the team, both in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. The team ensured everyone was catered for with suitable alternatives, giving us complete peace of mind and allowing us to relax and enjoy the day. We really appreciated the care, attention to detail and professionalism shown by everyone.
We also felt it was fantastic value for money, particularly given the incredible quality of the food and service. Clara, James, Milena and the whole team went above and beyond to bring our ideas to life, and we honestly couldn't have asked for more.
We cannot recommend First Press Hospitality highly enough to anyone looking for exceptional food and service for their wedding. Thank you so much for helping make our day so perfect! -

James & Clara were an absolute DREAM team!! They were wildly organized, so incredibly friendly, and truly made our special day feel so taken care of! They went above and beyond to perfect every detail and make every guest feel seen! ALSO the food was INCREDIBLE! I feel like wedding food can be very mehhh, but so many of our guests still rave about it to this day!! We had quite a few dietary restrictions and they didn't even bat an eye before offering so many seamless solutions that you'd never guess where gluten free!! James also was just soooo helpful when it came to designing the menu! We gave him an idea of the vibe of the wedding and he took it and ran with it to create the dream menu! Anyone planning a wedding should truly look no further than First Press Hospitality!! They are exactly who you want to take care of your special day! -

A Michelin-star experience at our wedding
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to James, Clara and the incredible team at First Press Hospitality for the exceptional service they provided at our wedding.
From our very first meeting, they took the time to understand our vision and spent hours with us discussing every small detail to ensure our day was exactly as we had imagined. Their professionalism, organisation and attention to detail were second to none.
The food was absolutely outstanding, and the level of service was truly on par with a Michelin-star restaurant. Every course was beautifully presented and received so many compliments from our guests. Throughout the day, the team seamlessly coordinated with all of our suppliers, ensuring everything ran perfectly to time and allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment.
A special mention must go to Milena, who managed the front of house impeccably. She was calm, attentive and incredibly organised, making sure we never had to think about anything other than enjoying our wedding day.
We cannot recommend First Press Hospitality highly enough. If you’re looking for exceptional food, outstanding service, and a team that will go above and beyond to make your event unforgettable, First Press is the perfect choice. -

James and Clara were both incredibly flexible and easy to work with. We made lots of changes at short notice and they handled it smoothly. They helped make a really difficult job (planning a wedding) incredibly easy! The food was excellent, especially the slow cooked beef! We highly recommend First Press Hospitality! -

James, Clara and the First Press team were so helpful from start to finish with our marquee wedding catering. We had a few calls with James early on to plan out the menu and options - sharing some of our favourite meals and ideas - and he worked his magic to bring our vegetarian mezze-style wedding breakfast to life.
We were blown away when we went for our tasting a few months before the wedding. Everything was so delicious and it gave us a real confidence boost before the big day that we had made the right choice. James & Clara were also super helpful with adjusting the menu for dietary requirements and were really flexible and accommodating for our needs.
We had so many compliments about the food on the day itself - especially from those who were more 'veggie-sceptical' but found themselves going back for seconds!
With it being a marquee wedding we were working with a completely blank canvas, but James & Clara made sure we had all the right kit hired in to make the day run smoothly. The First Press staff on the day were also incredibly helpful and efficient.
We would absolutely recommend First Press for your wedding catering - thank you again James & Clara! -

Our daughter and her partner had a small family wedding in January 2026. There were only 18 of us but with an age range from 5 to 97 years. The celebrations were in a large house we rented for the weekend. James took personal control of all the catering for the dinner, setting the table, arranging table decorations and preparing the meal. He served numerous canapes, even creating separate mixed platters for those with dietary preferences. Everything was ready for us when we returned from the ceremony and he not only served champagne but he also managed to find time to take a group picture for us!
In the run up to the event James was extremely helpful with suggestions and changes and we were able to provide guest with a choice of menus. On the day, he arrived promptly and left after everything was cleared and tidy. The food was delicious!
Possibly what pleased us most was that James,without being at all intrusive, became part of the celebration and left all our guests saying that they would recommend him to everyone! -

Thank you to Clara and yourself for inviting us to the intimate session you held last Sunday
The selection of dishes from your menu were carefully crafted had depth of flavour and perfectly balanced with each ingredient complimenting each other
It was particularly nice that some of the plates offered were from our selected menu plan which after tasting gave us great comfort in knowing we have chosen the right caterer for our day
