History

Lily O’Brien’s Chocolates was originally founded by Mary Ann O’Brien in 1992. After discovering her passion for chocolate-making, she was determined to learn more from world-renowned chefs and chocolatiers. With the knowledge she gained from these professionals in both South Africa and Europe, she decided to embark on her own chocolate-making adventure. From her kitchen in Kildare, Ireland, Mary Ann began to create her signature mouth-watering chocolate recipes that quickly impressed her friends and family members.

When it became time to expand her business, she decided to name the enterprise after her daughter, Lily. Now, Mary Ann and her team continue to create more delectable chocolate treats using high-quality ingredients.
