Yvonne has decades of experience, specialises in custom-made wedding cakes and cupcakes crafted from fresh ingredients, with no premixes or ready-made bases. Each cake is tailored to the couple’s vision, from vintage book tiers to character-inspired designs, reflecting your chosen theme and personal style. Prices vary from £100–£800, depending on your preferences and design complexity.
Flavours & Options
Choose from classics like red velvet, chocolate, carrot cake, and vanilla sponge, or explore unique combinations such as courgette and lime. Biscoff, Caramel,Gluten-free, dairy-free, and eggless options are available. Cupcake displays, macaron towers, and cake stands/knives can also be provided (depending on collection).
Ordering & Requirements

Minimum 8 weeks’ notice required to order a cake.

Design must be confirmed 7 weeks before the event, with Deposit paid at time of reservation.

Balance due two weeks before your event.

Due to the bespoke nature and costs involved, a no-refund policy applies after the deposit is made.

There is no refund policy once the deposit has been provided, given the expense in time and materials

60th Wedding Anniversary.
We asked for a multi tier cake to serve 80 people. We asked for different flavour tiers and sent images We had collected from the Internet matching our surprise party theme. The cake that was delivered was out of this world! No request was too much trouble. We received regular updates throughout the making process and were over the moon with the unique hand made details of the cake down to the water droplets on the petals and leaves of the hand made roses.

I gave Yvonne a short brief. Yvonne asked several questions like favourite colour, style of cake and size and Yvonne asked for a photo similar to my requirements. The cake was in fact perfect. My wife loved it Purple with flowers and lace. Yvonne put a message on the cake board which was a great idea.

Amazing, amazing cake!
Having seen some of their cakes at other’s parties, I ordered my son’s 21st birthday cake from Cakes From The Cottage and oh my was it amazing!! It totally surpassed how I had hoped it would come out and we were over the moon with it. Not only did it look spectacular but it tasted fantastic. We were so happy with it and everyone loved it. Would highly recommended this amazing cake maker. Thanks again for making such a wonderful cake!!

Yvonne has wowed us with her cakes every time, in quality, design, value and love. She has been at the heart of so many special occasions from our Wedding cake to many birthday cakes and special events. She has always gone above and beyond with getting every detail perfect. Fantastic service from start to finish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yvonne was amazing from the designing and expert knowledge in creating my parents golden wedding anniversary cake among various other since. I wanted it to be a bespoke cake with all the elements of their original cake from the 70s with a modern day twist! Incorporating all the golden wedding elements that celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Every one commented on it visually and also on the taste and texture.
I would not hesitate in recommending the Cottage cakes company and I hope to use them for my children’s weddings in the future ! Thank you and good luck 🤞

Satisfied Teen
As we know teens are hard to please. My daughter was thrilled with her 15th birthday cake. Designed just had she had requested. The cake was so moist and exceptionally delicious.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Yvonne did exactly what we wanted for our wedding cake and it was perfect in every way. Not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted amazing too! Every single guest raved about it.
Since then, I’ve officially made her my cake lady! She’s done my husband’s birthday cake, my mum’s, and now she’s making mine as well, and each one has been just as incredible as the last.

Beautiful design, delicious cake
Yvonne came to the rescue when we placed a last minute order for our wedding cake. I gave a brief outline of what we wanted and she created a cake that was far better than I could’ve imagined. She crafted beautiful handmade sugar flowers and the cake itself was delicious - we had so many compliments from our guest! Couldn’t recommend Yvonne enough, 10/10 service.
