Yvonne constructed us a fantastic cake, crafted with skill and passion.
Yvonne was very responsive and inquisitive from the start. We initially reached out with our home-grown cake design which hit things off very well to start (I'd recommend any couple consider designing their own cake).
Her response was excited, and the next step was having some samples to taste. We had samples from Yvonne and 2 other potential cake suppliers, and not only had Yvonne's eccentric attitude encouraged us towards her, but her cake samples (and butter-cream icing!) set her well above the competition. They came quickly, were reasonably priced and gave us plenty to sample (both in quantity of cake and variety of flavours) allowing us to make the best decision we could.
We had occasional communications with Yvonne all the way up to the wedding, as she was both very responsive to our questions and inquisitive to ensure her masterpiece was being made correctly for us.
On the morning of the wedding, Yvonne was promptly on time and setup the cake efficiently, and it looked great! It stood proud all day to the cake cutting, and was absolutely delicious in the evening (and the few evenings to follow!). She had even constructed a log stand for the cake to ensure it was stable and looked just right.

The cake was both stunning AND delicious! We got loads of compliments from guests on how good it was! A number of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had. Yvonne delivered it straight to our venue without any worries on our end. It was a showstopper and she totally worked with us to match our vintage cake vibe. Loved it!Cakes from the Cottage's reply:

Wow an awesome lady that made us the most perfect cake. We requested a Disney themed caked and she went above and beyond.
I can’t recommend enough. Tastes beautiful too and was the hot topic at our wedding.

Lovely company
Excellent service from this company. Yvonne really looked after us and the cake she made tasted lovely and looked beautiful. On the day Yvonne took the time to set up the cake just how we wanted. Beautiful addition to our wedding reception. Would definitely recommend.Cakes from the Cottage's reply:

Yvonne was brilliant. She brought us tasters so we could choose our flavour of cake. She made the most beautiful wedding cake with supplementary cupcakes as I’d requested and delivered them to my venue with no stress added. Thoroughly recommend Cakes From the Cottage.Cakes from the Cottage's reply:

Fantastic wedding cake

I can't thank Yvonne enough for making my wedding cake for me. I reached out to her last minute due to my initial cake maker dropping out. Yvonne was patient with me and answered all my questions, dealt with me wanting to change designs and asking for quotes for each change. I am so thankful to her and my cake turned out amazing! and tasted so good, everyone said how good it tasted. If I have another big event I will be coming back.
