Situated in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, The Wedding Cakery is a small, family-run business crafting bespoke wedding cakes to make the big day extra special. Owner Michaela offers a friendly, personalised service that aims to transform unique ideas into beautiful centrepieces. Able to produce wedding cakes of up to six tiers and specialising in handmade sugar flowers and foliage, Michaela boasts a natural artistic flair for clean, crisp, elegant decor which tastes as good as it looks.
Services Offered
The Wedding Cakery delivers entirely customised creations priced according to the wedding couples desired design, flavour, and size. Whether a rustic naked cake or something more polished and refined, your final piece will be delivered and set up to its full splendour at your location of choice. All of Michaela's cakes are made using the highest quality, fresh ingredients and come in various flavours such as rich chocolate, vanilla, lemon, sticky toffee, coconut, fruit and red velvet.

We advise that you book your suppliers as soon as possible to secure your date, however, I need at least 4 weeks notice for a wedding cake (subject to availability)

Yes, first 10 miles free then 50p per mile thereafter

Huge 6 tier cake!!!
The cake we wanted was a huge 6 tier cake and Michaela was amazing from start to finish, managing my expectations well about what would work well and what wouldn't! The designs she created gave us 3 options to choose from and they were all for different budgets and sizes but we went with the biggest! And gladly so!
We received a box of cakes to try through the post and it was gorgeous and luxurious! A very exciting time for our wedding planning! We decided to go for

Beautiful and tasty!
Me and my husband absolutely loved the cake we received on our wedding day!
The three flavours we chose were perfect! (Sticky toffee, coconut and passion fruit, vanilla and strawberry), and the design was stunning.
I loved that many different variations of my ideas were sketched so the design picked was the most true to us.

Perfect service and amazing taste
Could not recommend Michaela highly enough. From the initial quote through to the delivery on the day - 100% professionalism and excellent service. Responded to all enquires is a quick and timely manner. The cake itself was beautiful in flavour and commented on by all of our guests. Great selection of flavours available. Could not recommend highly enough.

Wedding cake
I left it late to book my cake maker for my wedding so I was extremely lucky to find Michaela and find out she was free to do our cake. The communication leading up to the wedding was fantastic, she sent me several design ideas to choose from and we pieced together a really special cake using bits from each design. She also sent us some delicious samples of all the flavours she offers which probably made things harder because we liked all of them! The finished cake was delivered in perfect time and looked absolutely amazing. We wanted something a bit different and she absolutely delivered what I had in my mind but better!

Beautiful perfect wedding cake
Michela was amazing from start to finish, she listened to what we wanted and created the perfect cake! Not only did it look amazing and it tasted it too. She designed and created the little bride and groom pumpkins for our cake to match our theme. We loved the cake and the different favours were delicious! We can't thank the wedding Cakery enough!!

Beyond words - BRILLIANT!
Can not recommend Michaela enough, she is the most wonderful person inside and out and goes beyond to take whatever vision you may have into making it a reality. The cake that Michaela made for our wedding in May 2023 was outstanding, it was not just beautiful with a flare of my now hubs character but tasted amazing (the photos do not do it justice). Our guests have not stopped talking about how tastey each tier was!

The most perfect cake for the perfect day
Everything about our experience with Michaela and The Wedding Cakery was brilliant. The samples that were sent to us were perfectly presented and professionally packed. This did not distract from the incredible taste of all the options available to us. One of the hardest decisions we had to make was which of the favours to choose!
The cake was so beautiful and it really was the centrepiece for our special day.
We cannot thank Michaela enough for helping to make our day as special as it was.
