I was looking at different wedding dresses online and I knew the kind of dress I wanted. I fell in love with Anniston, a Maggie Sottero dress. I checked on their website of Bridal Boutiques that sold this dress. The place that stood out the most was Scarlet Poppy Boutique, I absolutely loved the reviews as well as the look of the Scarlet Poppy Cottage. I booked a luxury appointment as I wanted to full experience due to it being my first ever appointment trying on dresses. On the day of my appointment, Hannah was there to greet us and she was absolutely lovely. She left us to browse on our own for a few minutes while I chose a few dresses to try on. Nothing was an issue for Hannah. After trying on some beautiful dresses, I finally tried on Anniston and instantly fell in love with it. I ordered the dress that day and was over the moon. As my mum wasn’t with me for this appointment, Hannah was happy to let me book a more personal appointment during the Christmas period just for me and my mum. It felt so personal and lovely that I could have that experience with just my mum. Hannah went above and beyond to make sure I felt special from choosing my dress, to my alteration appointments, to when I collected my dress. Scarlet Poppy is truly a remarkable Bridal Boutique. I feel so lucky that I found somewhere that gave me the full experience and made sure I had very little stress. I can’t thank Scarlet Poppy Bridal Boutique enough!! FINDING MY DRESS:

We had a fantastic wedding dress shopping experience and I found my dream dress! The minute we walked into Scarlet Poppy we felt welcomed and comfortable. We were given purple tags to label dresses for me to try and I think that was very clever and helpful. Also we had the store to ourselves which added another level of comfortability and made it feel even more special.

My stylist Paige was so nice and put a lot of effort into making sure the dresses were pinned and looked fitted before we saw them. I've been to a few other dress shops before Scarlet Poppy and they didn't do that so it could be hard to tell how the dresses would look on the day.

My bride tribe also had an awesome day and felt very comfortable, we booked the VIP 2 hour experience which meant they could enjoy canapes and prosecco which made their experience more enjoyable. A note on that too, I'm vegan and have a nut allergy and the ladies at Scarlet Poppy really went out of their way to cater for me! I'm so thankful for that. They really do go the extra mile throughout.

I got to try on lots of different dresses and found a beautiful Enzoani one which I said yes to. It was so magical hearing the 'will you say yes to the dress?' question out loud and being able to say hell yes! I just want to lock down the day in my memory forever.

Not only were the ladies really lovely and attentive, but the prices were so good too! I was lucky enough to have my mum buy my dress, but as this was a boutique she did tell me she thought they were going to be really expensive. Not the case at all, my dress blew me away and was £1000 less than my favourite from another store! It isn't hard to see why this store has become so popular with brides and I'm so pleased to have gotten my wedding dress there. It's the details, the bridal experience and of course the dreamy dresses that made our experience so special.

AFTER THE BIG DAY:

Wow, I felt like an absolute princess the entire day! My gown was absolutely perfect and felt like it was made for me.

Thank you so much to the wonderful seamstress and staff who made sure my dress fit me like a glove. I found out I was pregnant and that I'd be 10 weeks at the time of the wedding and let the team know straight away and they were so reassuring. They're such professionals and have clearly dealt with this many times before.

Despite me trying on the dress only 2 weeks beforehand, I suffered with some really bad morning sickness and couldn't eat much so when the day came to collect my dress it needed taking in quite a bit. The team zoomed into action and our seamstress did the alterations so it was ready the very next day! Just like magic my dress was ready and fit perfectly. They really do take the time and effort to make sure it's right for you and you look amazing.

As soon as you walk into the bridal shop, you are at ease, its just simply amazing. There was no other brides or people in the shop so I was able to be fully supported in my experience of choosing the dress! I had been to another bridal shop before and it was not as special as this, this just felt right, Hannah is so lovely and makes the experience so positive and exciting.
