As a plus size bride I was dreading having to find a dress for my wedding. It was a day I had dreamed of but couldn’t imagine finding a dress that I felt comfortable in. I had recently helped several friends find their dresses who were much smaller than me (I am a uk 18/20) and watched them have to be pinned into a dress that was much smaller than them at an appointment. I know that shops cannot hold every size but didn’t hold any hope that I would be able to find a shop with dresses that could even be pinned to me let alone actually fit me. However, after lots of searching I found Angelica bridal, I originally found their other store but was excited to see they had a curve store. It was extremely easy to book an appointment and I have never felt so at ease going clothes shopping. There was such an amazing range of dresses and the experience felt so personal. The team there are all so lovely and remembered us each time we came. I couldn’t recommend the shop enough for any plus size brides trying to find a wedding dress.Angelica Bridal Curve's reply:

What a breath of fresh air to find a bridal shop that feels truly inclusive. Being larger, I’d been nervous about trying on dresses, having been to a place before and only being allowed to try on three dresses they had in my size. Angelica Bridal were instantly welcoming and really helped us pick and look through their dresses.
I felt so at ease and felt absolutely amazing - I found two dresses that I was in love with on that first visit and came back for a second try on and came away with the most stunning day. Everyone was so lovely and helpful, I honestly couldn’t have recommend them enough!

I was terrified about looking for a dress as I was worried that I would not be able to find any dresses that were large enough and that weren't 'frumpy' as plus size options so often are.
The selection of gorgeous dresses at Angelica, as well as a variety of sizes available to try on, made the process so much more enjoyable and really helped me to find the dress of my dreams.
Unfortunately, while I'm thrilled with my dress, there were some negatives to our experience with Angelica Bridal. During our initial appointment we were treated with real care and warmth, which made the appt all the more special. Unfortunately, on returning to try on and collect the dress, the same sales person was much less warm/friendly, and seemed to be in a rush to get rid of us, which made us feel like a number and a bit disillusioned about this exciting stage in the wedding planning.
Also, I was told I would receive various emails with important information/dates, but had to contact the shop via phone to chase this up several times.
Overall, I was really happy with the try on process and the dress I managed to come away with, but the disorganised follow up and the attitude of the salesperson once we had already purchased the dress made me wish I had purchased my dress from somewhere less popular & busy, like an independent boutique/small business.

I have not had the best experience at Angelica Bridal. I feel like I am treated like a number and the customer service has not met my expectation.
I went to try on dresses for the first time back in November. Initially I had a good experience and thought that this would be a great place for me to buy my dress. I went back in December to try on a dress that I rented £70 to try on. The Sales Associate Maisie was very kind and helpful. I confirmed with her verbally in store in front of another person if the £70 and the £40 appointment fee can be used against any dress and accessory in the store. She confirmed that I can use the entire £110 towards any Angelica Bridal product including accessories and veils.
After booking a measurement appointment for February, I emailed the Angelica Bridal team to enquire about ordering some fabric swatches so I can confirm which fabric I would like for my dress. After a lot of emails and a lot of "No" responses from Paige in their Customer Service team, I asked if there were any solutions that they could offer. The only solution offered was for me to spend an additional £70 to try on the same dress in a different fabric.
I reached back out to their team recently to confirm the cost of some of their accessories and if the £110 already spent at the boutique could be applied to these items. I received an email from Paige stating that I could only use the £70 towards the dress but that the £40 is non-refundable and cannot be applied to the dress or any accessories.
I reached back out to Paige to ask if they could honour their original statement that I could use the £110 towards any accessories. However, I received a very rude email from Paige stating that this is their policy and that I could only use the £70 towards my dress. I have since gone back requesting either a partial refund or if this could be applied to accessories and I have now been ghosted by the Angelica Bridal team.
It is clear to me that the Angelica Bridal team are unsure of their own policies. Their customer service has not met my expectations, especially when members of their team do not honour previous statements. I will not be buying my dress from this store and encourage others to think twice before providing their bank details. This is not worth the hassle for something as important as spending nearly £2000 on a dress. -

I found Angelica Bridal Curve around January 2025, whilst searching for plus size shops where dresses would actually fit me. Being in London already, this seemed perfect for me, and I decided to go along to a sample sale in March as this would suit my budget better. I had Millie as my stylist and she was so sweet and so understanding, I didn’t once feel uncomfortable (which is difficult when you are self conscious of your body and don’t have much confidence!). She let my niece and I pick a range of dresses to try, and was helpful in adding sleeves to some of my choices as I wanted my arms covered. She was professional and also honest, and bounced off of the feelings from my family and how we all felt about the dresses. I knew I didn’t want to go anywhere else - I was happy, confident, found a waist I didn’t know I had! and after trying 4 dresses, Millie said to put the very first one back on and this was the one we all loved! The service continued with explaining the process of dry cleaning, and collecting the dress, and even recommending somewhere for the alterations. All in all it was a great experience and I would 10/10 recommend Angelica Bridal Curve to any other plus size brides out there! The only 1 thing we didn’t get… was the glass of fizz that was promised at my appointment! But in the great scheme of things, it wasn’t the reason for being there. Amazing visit for my wedding dress
I went to Angelica curve all the way from the midlands as nothing local to me compared to their dresses. From the moment I made contact to ask questions on Instagram to having my appointment with Ella, Everything was amazing!
I got to try on lots of dresses, look at the dresses to pick extras to that I sent over ahead of my appointment.
I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone looking for their perfect dress

After having a very last minute change of heart on a dress bought else where I came across Angelica Bridal who happened to be holding a sample sale. From the moment of arrival Ella was so welcoming and knowledgable on all things wedding dresses! I ended up finding my dream dress and I am soo pleased I took the plunge and booked myself in! I went to a sample sale at Angelica Bridal Curve and it was also my first time trying on wedding dresses. The experience was phenomenal. There were so many different styles to choose from and the staff was so friendly and had a very good ear for what I wanted. I didn't feel pressured to commit. Angelica Bridal was the last store of my bridal fitting day and for some reason, I knew deep down I’d find my wedding dress there! Bridget was so lovely and not pushy.
