My makeup stayed perfect for well over 10 hours through smiling, hugging, kissing, crying, dancing, sweating, sunshine. It didn't budge once. My hair looked just as beautiful at the end of the night as it did when I first left the chair.

Beyond her incredible technical skills, Irene is such a lovely person to spend time with. The hours flew by as we chatted, laughed, and talked about all sorts of things. She made getting ready one of my favourite parts of the wedding day.

Irene did my makeup and hair & makeup for two of my bridesmaids.

I don't usually wear makeup and didn't want the stress of doing it myself. I chose a natural look with some glitter on the eyes and Irene was great during my trial and gave me two eyeshadow options when I was unsure. I even changed my mind after the trial and she did it amazingly on the day.

My makeup stayed stayed perfect from 9:30 until 00:00 even with the hot June weather and tears (including minor use of makeup wipes for mascara under the eyes but you couldn't tell at all!).

My two bridesmaids who almost never wear makeup got along great with her and she explained everything to them. Got their hair perfect as well, curls stayed the whole day.
She's really lovely and made the morning getting ready way less stressful. I didn't hire Irene for my own hair as I had already booked my hairstylist.

I had a lovely time with Irene! She made my experience so easy and relaxing whilst listening to exactly what I needed for my wedding and my bridal party.

Irene did such a beautiful job on my hair and makeup for my wedding. I only had a few weeks between looking for a hair and makeup artist and the big day! Irene was super flexible with arrangements for the trial, and she really took onboard what we discussed during the trial so I absolutely felt like myself on my best day for the wedding! I’ve never had my hair and makeup done professionally before and don’t normally like to be centre of attention, Irene is so sweet and so calming, friendly and so skilled I felt at ease straight away and really enjoyed the time we spent together whilst having my makeup done, my hair beautifully curled and put up and even my first experience of false lashes-which I loved! Stepping out of my comfort zone with wedding makeup was nerve-wracking, but Irene went completely out of her way to make me feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning. From the trial to the wedding day itself, her communication, care, and professionalism were exceptional.

I contacted Irene through Hitched just a couple of weeks before my wedding, during a particularly stressful time. She was incredibly professional, reliable, and responsive from the very first message. Communication, paperwork, and calls were all arranged quickly and efficiently, and she was completely transparent about pricing and availability for trials. All of which was so important with the wedding so close. Speaking with her instantly put me at ease.

To make things more complicated, I have skin contact allergies to certain fragrance chemicals, which are found in so many hair and makeup products. Irene took this extremely seriously. She went through her entire kit and worked with me to create an “approved product list,” making sure everything used on my skin would be safe. It gave me so much confidence and peace of mind.

On the big day, Irene did hair and makeup for me, my sister, and my mum and we all absolutely loved the results. We each felt so beautiful. She listened carefully to what we wanted and brought each look to life perfectly. For reference, me and my family are Filipino and the products she used were a great match for our hair and skin types. She was also wonderfully calm and reassuring on a very busy wedding morning, which made such a difference.
