I’m Gemma an award winning wedding Hair & Makeup Artist based in Hutton Lancashire who specialises in artistry that enhances your natural beauty and helps you feel like the very best version of yourself on your wedding day. My approach is all about creating timeless, polished looks that photograph beautifully and last from the first moment to the final dance without ever feeling heavy or overdone.
I’m best known for my calm, grounding presence on the morning of a wedding. I understand how emotional and fast-paced the day can feel, which is why I focus on creating a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere where you can truly enjoy the experience. From the moment I arrive, my goal is to bring reassurance, organisation, and a sense of ease, allowing you to start your day feeling confident and looked after.
Working with me feels calm, supportive, and seamless. I take the time to understand your vision, your preferences, and how you want to feel—not just how you want to look. Whether you’re after something soft and natural or more defined and glamorous, I tailor every look to suit you, your features, and your overall wedding style.
What makes each bridal look special is the care and attention I give to the details that matter to you. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all makeup. Every application is thoughtfully customised so you still feel like you, just elevated. Behind the scenes, I’m organised, professional, and quietly prepared for anything so you never have to worry about timing, touch-ups, or last-minute nerves.
My aim is for you to walk down the aisle feeling calm, confident, and completely yourself, knowing your makeup is flawless and one less thing to think about on one of the most important days of your life.
My approach is focused on skin that looks fresh, radiant, and flawless without ever feeling heavy or overdone. Every product and technique I use is carefully chosen to ensure your makeup wears comfortably from the morning through to the evening, photographs beautifully, and still feels like you. I love that my brides say that my makeup feels so light and comfortable to wear like they hardly have anything on their face!

I offer a discounted package when hair and makeup services are both booked. Please get intouch to request my offers
How far in advance should I contact you?
It is never too early to get intouch! I take bookings upto 2 years in advance. To secure your favourite suppliers I reccommend booking as soon as you have confirmed your wedding date and venue
Do you work at homes?
Yes
What is the charge for travelling?
I charge a fee of 45p per mile and a small fee for travel time. Once you have been in touch to check my availability I will send over my package along with travel expenses
What is your main business area?

Could you stay with the bride until the photo shoot?
Yes
How many people can you beautify for one wedding?
If there is a very large amount of people in your bridal party requiring hair and makeup I will bring along my assistant who has been trained at the same accademy to assist me
Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?

Dream makeup artist!
I booked Gemma for my wedding make up for myself and 7 others in my bridal party. Gemma advised on the best start/finish times to suit our ceremony time and arrived on time on the day.
She was great with all the girls, helpful with colours and things that would suit their skin tones. We had worked out what my make up would be like earlier at a trial and barely made any changes to it on the day.
Gemma was professional and such a calming presence on the wedding morning, I am so thankful for her experience and attention to detail, all of my bridal party looked and felt beautiful. My make up was perfect and lasted all day - I didn’t want to take it off!! I would absolutely encourage other brides to book with Gemma.

The most incredible experience!
The reason I chose Gemma was the fact her portfolio showed a huge range of soft glam, natural looks which was exactly what I was looking for. My bridal party was on the larger size (me plus my mum and 8 bridesmaids) and every single one of us agree that it was the best hair and makeup we have ever had. Each individual look was tailored exactly to each person's skin type, preferences etc and it lasted well into the early hours even after a day of outdoor photos in the wild Lancashire weather and dancing all night! Gemma, Kelly and Victoria made all of us look like the best version of ourselves but, as well as being so skilled at what they do, they provided humour, advice, fun and reassurance on the wedding morning which made getting ready such a magical experience. Thank you Gemma for making all my wedding dreams come true and giving me confidence I never knew I had, you are truly incredible!!

The perfect hair and make up for our wedding
Gemma and team were great at our wedding.
I had a trial before and Gemma nailed the brief first time and also did a trial for my mum who was nervous about wearing make up for the first time in a while but she was very happy with the natural look.
On the wedding day Gemma and team were great at making us feel relaxed even when dealing with 9 sets of hair and make up. All the bridesmaids and mums were very happy with their look and felt themselves but the glamorous version. As the bride I loved my make up and hair and it looked just how I imagined it in person and also showed up amazingly in photos. I would highly recommend Gemma and her team for a wedding! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing!
Bridesmaid 1: They were super professional but also warm and friendly, I thought the hair and makeup looked fantastic and lasted really well. Would massively recommend them and thoroughly enjoyed having my hair and makeup done by them, and thought we all looked and felt fabulous!
Bridesmaid 2: Bloody lovedddd my hair, it stayed in all day considering it’s so long, and didn’t hurt at all. Kelly absolutely nailed what I’d asked for and it was comfortable all day, and made me feel really sophisticated! Gemma really listened to what I usually like on my skin and suggested the perfect base so I felt glam, but still like me. Having lashes included was amazing, and it lasted all day, even after hours of dancing.
Gave them both a huge cuddle after they’d finished, because I loved it so much! Such lovely, friendly ladies!

I stumbled upon Gemma’s Instagram page when looking for someone who could do hair and make up for me and my bridesmaids. I was immediately drawn to the images that showcased her skills and talents in transforming brides to feel their best on their special day.
A few email exchanges and I felt confident, assured and happy to appoint Gemma to the role of transforming me, my bridesmaids and mum on the day. Deposits and invoices were accurate and clear.

Wedding make up
Gemma was amazing from the moment I enquired! I went for a trail as I don’t often wear make up, this was at Gemma’s house and she was so welcoming. I felt completely myself on the wedding day and absolutely loved my make up! All the bridesmaids were very happy with their makeup too.

Professional and Flexible
Gemma is a highly talented make up artist and was able to accommodate nine people on the morning of the wedding, by bringing an equally talented MUA Harriet. We didn't come away from my trial with a nailed down look, but I didn't need to worry as on the day Gemma absolutely smashed it, making changes to my base so it sat well on my skin. I had multiple comments on the day and didn't need to touch up once!

So talented!
Gemma came to Italy for my Tuscan wedding and made me and my bridesmaids feel beautiful! I had so many compliments on the day. She is a true artist and is so talented at what she does. My mum was really nervous to have her makeup done but couldn’t stop talking about it well after the wedding - she loved it. Would absolutely recommend her services for anyone’s wedding day.

Gemma is so lovely and friendly. She listened to all my thoughts and concerns about my makeup for my wedding day. Went through my inspiration pictures with me and really made me feel comfortable and relaxed.

Gemma was amazing from the start. Professional, helpful and flexible with my makeup, and my bridesmaids (all who have very different styles and preferences with makeup). I felt beautiful on my wedding day thanks to Gemma.
