Bridal & Beauty by Lau is a wedding makeup & hair stylist located in Hampshire. Founder Laura is a qualified beauty specialist with over a decade of experience in the beauty industry. We specialise in bridal makeup & hair and only use high-quality brands to ensure that your makeup/hair is flawless all day long. Large weddings can be easily catered for as I’ve a trusted circle of stylists to meet your needs. Happy to travel to clients in Hampshire, Berkshire and beyond to give you the bridal look of your dreams.

Services Offered

Bridal & Beauty by Lau in addition offers a range of beauty services, including spray tanning, pedicures, waxing, makeup & hair. Favourite makeup brands to use are Charlotte Tilbury and Laura Mercier, as their quality products help promote the longevity of your makeup. Our bridal trials take place at salon situated on the grounds of the beautiful Worting House in Basingstoke, where we can perfect your wedding look before your special day.

Laura's warmth and professionalism was lovely part of getting ready for our big day!

Laura was quick to respond to any questions and flexible with changes we wanted to make after the trial. She was such a calm and friendly presence both during the trial and getting ready before my wedding, which helped make those moment really special. I don't usually wear much make up and really appreciated Laura's reassurance and willingness to let me try a few different options, until we found something that felt like me. I loved my hair and make up and both held out throughout the whole day!

Laura and her team provided hair and makeup services for myself (bride), 2 bridesmaids and my mum on my wedding day.

As a non girly girl, I was a little apprehensive about hair and makeup as it is all so far out of my comfort zone. Laura is so personable and really put me at ease on the trial day, finding common ground in music and chatting about other weddings. Laura was helpful in suggesting suitable tones for makeup and giving me the confidence to wear false lashes (well half size ones!). For the hair styles, my vague descriptions became reality and Laura was able to prepare a style that would work both with and without my veil.
On the day itself I knew exactly what to expect thanks to the trial session, so we could just have a laugh and not worry about little details. We all felt really comfortable and happy with our looks. My bridesmaid who got married last year even said she preffered the styling over her wedding hair!

Made me feel fabulous!

Lau was so lovely, bringing a calm and friendly presence to the getting ready process. My mum and I both loved our hair and she got my makeup absolutely spot on with all the tweaks I asked for from my trial. We were lucky that she was available for the day and would highly recommend to anyone else looking to feel like the best version of themselves on their wedding day!

Highly recommend for your big day!

Lau was not only a brilliant make up artist who made me feel naturally gorgeous for my wedding day but she was also very calm and super lovely. She really put me at ease and got my wedding day off to the best start. Polite, punctual and very accommodating - highly recommend. Thanks so much Lau xx

Best MAU ever

Lau was professional, friendly a good laugh and very good at her job. She listened to my requests and fulfilled them better than I imagined. She also stayed to help my bridesmaids put the veil in which was beyond what was expected!

Perfection!!

I can’t recommend Lau enough, she did a perfect job with mine and mums make up. She listened to my brief and we made some changes from my trial and they were spot on. Felt so beautiful thank you so much x

Amazing bridal hair specialist!

I was lucky enough to book Lau to do my bridal hair although I left it quite late! She arranged to find a date to squeeze in a trial although the wedding wasn't too far away and did a beautiful job. I wasn't too sure what I wanted and gave a few guidelines and let her do her magic. Results were beautiful and people were very complimentary of my hair on the day! Friendly, prompt and attentive to your needs. I recommend!

Beautiful Hair & Makeup! Felt like a beautiful bride!

Laura was INCREDIBLE! Right from the trial to the day, she made myself and bridal party feel at home, calm, relaxed and pampered throughout the whole process!
Notes were taken at all points and nothing was forgotten right down to the fine details.
She made my wedding morning so calm and relaxed and made me feel beautiful on my wedding day!

Wedding Hair and Makeup

Laura is such a wonderful hair and makeup artist. From the moment we met at the trial day I knew I had chosen the right person for me. Incredibly kind, professional and talented, I travelled back to London feeling fantastic. On the day, Laura and the team were so kind and caring. They really listened to me and my bridal squad, about what they wanted and followed. Laura also took some beautiful photos and videos that I will treasure forever. I would highly recommend Laura!

Amazing makeup, lovely person

Booked for my wedding make up for me and 2 of my bridal party. Everything ran extremely smoothly. Everyone was so happy with their make up. I don’t normally ware a lot of make up and Lau was really good at creating a glam look that was not overwhelming. Highly recommend
