Purple & White Theme/Flowers

MrsMac2be, 13 of November of 2010 at 20:19 Posted on Planning 0 31

Does anyone have any pics that they wouldnt mind flashing of purple and white/ivory flowers, of bouquets, table arrangements etc etc so that I can get some ideas/inspirations. I have already received some from the lovely Sherrie (thank you xx) just wondering if anyone would mind sharing theirs to give me some more ideas?

TIA x.

We use a stunning purple rose in the shop - can't remember what its called but its just beautiful... its shown here... it has a real 'antiquey' look about it - vintage I suppose? We actually did a wedding using this 'wild' look with these flowers as the bride wanted natural looking flowers rather than overly stylised, including her bouquet and it was just gorgeous!

ETA - sorry you're not feeling great KBS.... hope you feel better soon! the flowers you've got listed above sound lush - the lisi's in this photo are lovely - but beware that the buds can droop pretty quickly, so we usually snip the tight buds off. The open flowers last fine tho'...

Its fab isn't it? So 'easy going' looking but it had a lot of admirers - specially my Mum whose table it ended up on!!

Are you having silk flowers?? just wondering if you're shouting for Sherri!

I wasnt going to have silk flowers but when the florist was giving me grief about sending the quote Sherrie very kindly stepped in to help me... Smiley smile

Sherrie, I love those vintage roses but if Im having cadbury purple BM dresses and table linens will I not need a dark purple in the bouquets/table arrangements or I suppose I can have both the dark purple and the vintage purple together?

Yep ypou can have a mix of the two, purple Lisianthus for the Cadbury Purple. I can show you them all mocked up when you come down but yes we can do anything to tie in.

Sorry to hijack but yellow roses are sentimental to us so I was looking at Ilios roses (lighter yellow) with lizianthus. Yellow will look ok with purple BM dresses and mine in ivory won't it?

    Loving that vintagey purple rose!!

I think we're having the same wedding LOL!!

We're having yellow and purple flowers with butterfly theme!!

Having purple BM dresses, groomsmen are in silver suits. my dress is ivory.

Sounds a lot of mis-match there but I'm really hoping it works!!

Here are some purple & yellow ideas for you:

These were one of my favourites done in Lemon & lilac but could be done using Cadbury Purple & a sunshine Yelloe:

Cadbury Purple with Lemon is gorgeous together always reminds me of Springtime & Iris's , Crocus, Freesias. Now you have my creative juices flowing!

Are the dresses you have an eggplant colour?

LOL, I can't have cadbury purple, my friend is having that!!! lol! But yeah I haven't bought any yet but i think that is probably the best way to describe the colour, I've still got 18 months to go so trying to match my colours properly so I can start making invites Smiley smile Then I can match everything else Smiley smile

    Mine is Cadbury Purple.

I'm so tempted by Sunflowers, one of my fave flowers but not sure how it would work as they're such a statement flower and I really want yellow (lemony Ilios) roses as well!

Have found a couple of table arrangements I like, think I prefer the 1st one, can you do this Sherrie? Would I need to supply the goldfish bowl? Not sure how the lights would work though...

I can do the Goldfish bowl the lights are battery operated lights. It depends where you are I have bowls to hire but they would be too heavy to send. I can get them for you & have them sent on if that helps.
