Jamie looked after us from the beginning until the last moment with his warm heart for our wedding.

We truly cannot recommend Jamie from Story Through Wedding Videography highly enough. From the moment we met him at a wedding fair, we were struck by his kindness, warmth, and genuine passion for what he does. He took the time to chat with us, listen to our story, and explain his approach, and it was clear straight away that this was someone who genuinely loves telling love stories. The name of his business, Story Through Wedding, really resonated with us. So many wedding films can feel a little generic and soulless, but we were looking for someone who would bring our day to life in a way that felt personal and meaningful. As an intercultural couple (Brazilian groom and Northern Irish bride), we knew our wedding would be a celebration of cultures, languages, and family, and Jamie captured every bit of that with such care, heart and creativity.

On the day itself, Jamie was an absolute dream to work with. He brought so much energy and joy - you could feel how excited he was to be part of it all, and that enthusiasm was contagious. He would show us little clips throughout the day because he was genuinely buzzing with how beautiful the footage looked. But at the same time, he had such a calm and gentle presence. He blended into the background so naturally that we often forgot we were being filmed, and yet somehow he managed to catch every single moment - the big ones, and the little ones we might have missed.

He made us feel completely relaxed and at ease in front of the camera, and we’re so grateful for that. And then came the edits…and wow. We received our teaser film in under 24 hours (such a gift when you’re still riding the post-wedding high), followed by a beautiful 1.5-minute trailer just two days later. Both were exceptional and summed up our day so perfectly. When our full wedding film arrived just over one month after our special day, we were in AWE. Jamie had woven together the story of our wedding in a way that felt emotional, joyful, elegant and deeply personal. The way he captured the connection between our cultures was seamless. It felt like watching a film that was uniquely ours, not just a highlight reel like many other wedding videos I had seen. We also loved how intentional he was about including all our guests, not just in the key moments but in those fleeting, candid interactions that often go unnoticed. He saw the beauty in the smallest things and brought it all to life.

To top it all off, he sent our final film beautifully presented, along with a box of thoughtful treats for us to enjoy as we watched it together. It turned a simple viewing into one of the most special, cosy, joy-filled moments - a memory in itself.

One thing I want to say, especially for couples who might be browsing through pages of videographers online: Jamie is new to the wedding industry compared to other videographers we saw and when we first came across him, his Instagram following was modest compared to others. In all honesty, that almost made us hesitate. However, I am SO GLAD we followed our instincts. The number of followers on social media means absolutely NOTHING compared to the heart, talent and care Jamie pours into his work. For the level of talent, dedication and storytelling he offers, he deserves millions of followers.

Booking Jamie was, without question, one of the very best decisions we made in our whole wedding planning process. He is a true artist, a brilliant storyteller, and just an all-round wonderful person to have by your side on your wedding day. We’d choose him again in a heartbeat…not that we plan on needing a wedding videographer again!!

This seems crazy now but initially we were a little unsure about booking a videographer as this was one of the last things we needed to book for the big day.

I can now say to everyone getting married that a videographer is an absolute must!!

Jamie was a wonderful addition to our wedding day. He seamlessly captured all of the important moments and sent us a video teaser and the full video very quickly. He focusses on the small details and was a pleasure to work with. I thought I would be shy around the camera but Jamie made me feel so relaxed that both my husband and I were able to really embrace the experience. Jamie also has a calming presence which is great for stressed brides!

He was super professional on the day, and every shot that I mentioned that I'd like captured was done. I didn't notice him taking all of the shots. in Short- Jamie is fantastic and we couldn't have asked for a better man to capture our day. He literally went the extra mile and made our wedding day so special. Very professional, friendly and in a good way, was like he wasn't there. He blended so naturally and made us that more comfortable. We knew our day was in good hands with Jamie and we cant thank him enough for the film he produced and the extra afterwards. My sister is to be married on the 8th June 2024 and he is doing this wedding for them, which is a credit to Jamie.
