Hello there,
My names Steve and thank you for taking the time to view my Hitched page. I am very proud to say I am the Hitched Lancashire Videographer of the Year for 2023 & 2024!
You will find some examples of my work on this page. My calendar for 2024 is practically full, however i do have some availability for 2025. Please feel free to get in touch for more details and a bit of a chat!
A little about me...
I live in the beautiful village of Heysham in North West England, with my beautiful wife Hannah and our not so little 3 year old boy Ernie.
I have worked for over a decade in the Media & TV Industry and have been filming weddings now for over 3 years.
I graduated University with a 2:1 in Media Production & Technology and in the past have been fortunate enough to have filmed live sports including football and rugby, been behind the camera at music festivals and even filmed royalty at prestigious events.
Outside of work I love to play golf, hiking and spending time with my family and friends.
My style - Cinematic, fun and timeless
My films are all super personal to each and every couple.
I try my very hardest prior and during the big day itself to integrate myself as much as i can so i know exactly who and what to capture.
My films are story driven and edited chronologically, but by adding speech montages, flashbacks and various other editing techniques your film will be beautifully personal, cinematic, fun filled memory of your special day.
My approach - Minimalistic, natural and relaxed
I love capturing that little bit of magic behind the camera. Your wedding day is a wonderful journey from start to finish. They say blink and it's over, and this could not be more true.
Your day will fly by and you will want to cherish every moment without having to stop and start your day to allow a cameraman to film what's happening.
That's why I do my utmost to hide in plain sight, capturing special moments as naturally as possible. For the most part you will just see me and a camera. By keeping my setup minimal, I am able to capture memories that make your day special without being obtrusive or in the way.

What is the charge for travelling?
No extra charge within the North West
Outside of this, if i can get there and back in a day i will only charge for fuel.
Otherwise i would charge for a hotel. I am happy with a Travelodge

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
Minimalistic, natural and relaxed
I want to be a friend before i arrive, so that you and your guests feel completely at ease.
I am not intrusive, and i try and blend in to the background

How do you charge extra time?
I do not charge extra for staying a bit later at a wedding. If something special is happening after the first dance, i would not want to miss it. I will also arrive earlier if needed
What are the forms of payment?

How do you work?
I film at wedding venues nationwide.
I edit at home in my editing suite.
I also edit on location, maybe in a coffee shop or a bar. Sometimes it is nice to get out of the house

Steve, what a legend!
From start to finish, Steve was so incredibly easy to work with, and communication leading up to the big day was seamless. He is just such a pleasant, warm person to be around.
On the wedding day itself, Stephen brought the absolute best vibes. He was so chilled yet entirely professional, with such a keen eye for detail. He also worked seamlessly with our other vendors. Our guests honestly thought Steve and our photographer were a package deal!
We got our sneak peek back less than 24 hours after the wedding and were absolutely blown away. That 45-second video was incredible! We genuinely wondered, how could the feature film possibly beat the sneak peek?
Well, it truly did. The feature film was more than perfect. Steve beautifully captured the very best parts of our day, and I can't even tell you how many times I’ve rewatched it already. If it were uploaded to YouTube, Stephen would be making a killing from our views alone! 😂

Incredible
Choosing Stephen was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first meeting, he made us feel completely at ease, and on the day of the wedding, he felt just like a friend. Stephen isn’t just the most amazing videographer, but a lovely, genuine person. He is so thoughtful and attentive; he was always there to catch the perfect shot without ever feeling intrusive, you didn’t even know he was there most of the time!
When we received our film, we were blown away. The quality is absolutely incredible, and honestly, I can’t even put into words how amazing the films are, they are beyond anything we imagined. Breathtaking videography services
We were absolutely blown away by the videos Steve produced for our wedding. Both the Sneak Peak and Feature Film were absolutely breathtaking and Steve captured our wedding day perfectly. Steve was a gentleman throughout the process, such a friendly guy and it felt like we had known him for years! I would 100% recommend Steve to anyone who is getting married, he is such a diamond.

Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t have wished for more!
Wow what can we say! We are so glad we chose Stephen to be our videographer! From the moment we booked, communication was great, we had a video call so that Stephen could get to know us and find out our vision for the wedding and what we wanted from our video. He was so friendly from the get go which put us at ease. We chose to book the video and photo package with this is Richard photography and we are so glad we did! They worked incredibly well together and both blended in to the day perfectly. From the moment they arrived on the wedding day, they came to chat to us both to see how we were feeling, they made us feel relaxed straight away and we were confident that they’d capture everything we wanted. The day absolutely flew by and they captured everything perfectly for us, a relaxed style making us feel comfortable as neither of us are used to being in front of the camera all day! Our guests commented on how friendly Stephen and Richard both were and what a great job they did at blending in seamlessly. They worked absolutely non stop all day we are so grateful and when we saw our video and photos we were absolutely blown away. Completely perfect! We couldn’t believe it when our sneak peak video arrived so quickly and it was BRILLIANT. We expected to wait but were thrilled to see it after just a couple of days! Then when we got our feature film we were just completely blown away - Stephen’s work is incredible and we are so glad we found him!We couldn’t have chosen a better pair we are so happy with our memories to last a lifettime! Magic on film
Myself and my husband cannot thank Stephen enough for the magic he has managed to create. From the very beginning our interactions with stephen has been relaxed, professional and he kept in constant contact! On the day he kept in touch with us whilst organising everything. He even managed to get some drone shots. He made my partner feel super comfortable and eased his nerves. He interacted with our guests and worked seamlessly alongside our photographer. The end result of our wedding video is more than we could ever imagine. We are so happy to have the best day of our lives captured so beautifully on film.

Well im not even sure where to start I want to give Stephen whitehead videography the best review I can but I really don't think I can put into words how amazing he really was . I originally hadn't booked a videographer because family and friends where insisting having a photographer was enough but my God am I glad I didn't listen . My video from Stephen captures the day in a totally different way than still images and I cant tell you how disappointed I'd be now if I couldn't watch my amazing day back because with all the excitement I couldn't remember half of the stuff that went on (honestly walking down that aisle was a blurr) . It was so nice to see all the little bits the bride doesn't usually get to see like the guests arriving, my husband and groomsmen getting ready and most importantly my beautiful little boys walking down the aisle . After watching my videos everyone's in agreement it was one of the best investments I made for the wedding.
And where do I start on Stephen ,he was so helpful from the get go ,nothing was to much trouble he made me feel at ease and helped make the whole process super easy it just feels like youve known him forever.
