Oboy Studios isn’t just a wedding cinematography brand; it’s a love-story storyteller with a camera.
Based in East London, Oboy Studios was built from pure passion, experiences and not films or textbooks. What started as a self-taught creative journey turned into a signature style that couples now recognise instantly, emotional, cinematic, and deeply personal. Over the past five years, Oboy Studios has become known for turning real wedding days into timeless films that feel like movies… but still feel like you.
Oboy Studios is known for capturing the feeling of a wedding, not just the schedule of it.
The quiet hand squeezes before the aisle walk. The nervous laugh during vows. The way your mum looks at you when she thinks no one is watching.
The films aren’t just beautiful, they’re emotional time capsules—warm tones, natural light, gentle storytelling, and music that hits right in the heart. When couples watch their film back, they don’t just remember what happened… they relive it.
Working with Oboy feels less like hiring a supplier and more like having a calm, creative friend by your side.
He blends into the day effortlessly, never intrusive, never staged, just quietly observing and capturing moments as they naturally unfold. Couples often say they forgot the camera was even there, yet somehow every meaningful glance and laugh was caught.
There’s patience. There’s care. There’s an intention behind every shot.
From the first conversation to the final film delivery, the experience feels personal. Oboy takes time to understand each couple’s story, their vibe, their energy, because no two love stories should ever look the same on screen.
Every wedding film starts with the couple, how they met, what matters to them, and who their people are. Oboy then weaves those details into the visual storytelling. Maybe it’s focusing more on family connections, or the energy of the dance floor, or the quiet romance between just the two of you.
He doesn’t follow a formula. He follows your story. The result?
A wedding film that feels honest, heartfelt, and completely unique — not just a highlight reel, but a legacy piece you’ll treasure for decades.
Oboy Studios doesn’t just film weddings. He preserves memories, emotions, and love stories, one frame at a time.
Oboy Studios is based in East London and offers wedding videography services.

Meet the team
My name is Oboy, and I was born and raised in Ghana then moved to London, UK over 10 years ago. My passion for cinematography began in an unexpected place the church. Although I was not a regular member, one day my pastor approached me and said, “You, young man from now on you will do filming for the church.” At first, I was unsure and a little hesitant, but I agreed out of respect and humility.
As I began filming regularly, something shifted. What started as an uncertain obligation quickly became something I genuinely enjoyed. I discovered that cinematography is more than just pointing a camera it is a craft that requires patience, dedication, and a deep appreciation for storytelling. With each event I filmed, I became more intentional about capturing the visuals that matter most.
I focus on the unique details that make every moment unforgettable. For example, during a wedding shoot, I pay special attention to elements like the bride’s dress, shoes, and jewellery the small pieces that tell a larger story about love, anticipation, and joy.
To me, great cinematography is about capturing moments that tell a meaningful story moments that evoke emotion and remain memorable long after the event has passed.
My vision as a cinematographer is simple: to create visual stories that my clients trust and cherish. I strive to make every client feel comfortable and confident in my ability to document their most important moments with creativity, professionalism, and heart.
