I'm Nic, the photographer, videographer, and drone pilot behind MCR Photo & Video. I cover weddings across Manchester, the North West, and the Lake District — working alone so you always get the same person you booked, not a stranger on the day.

What I'm known for is documentary-style coverage. I don't direct people into poses or interrupt moments to get a shot. I stay back, watch, and capture things as they happen — the laughs, the tears, the in-between bits that make your day yours. Most couples tell me afterwards they barely noticed I was there, which is exactly how I like it.

On the photography side, I deliver natural, timeless images that still look good in 20 years. On the video side, I create cinematic wedding films — properly edited, with real audio, real emotion, and a story that flows. Not a highlights reel set to generic music.

I also offer aerial drone coverage, which adds a completely different dimension to both photos and films — especially for outdoor ceremonies, country houses, and Lake District venues where the landscape is part of the story.

Every wedding gets my full attention. I spend time getting to know couples before the day so nothing feels awkward in front of the camera. I'm relaxed, easy to work with, and I take the job seriously without making the day feel like a photoshoot.
