Being a family run business, the management is marked by the cheerful approach of Lara Luz. To her credit, the decision to return to the original name Villa Porta and to design the new project Limonaia giving exclusivity to each banquet. Along with the Ballroom is the exclusive en-plein-air Skyline and the imposing Torretta, built on the cliff to dominate the fresh waters of the lake.

Two centuries of Hospitality

Since 1971, the property has belonged to the Luz Family, who, with Lothar Luz, an engineer from Stuttgart, began a process of transforming the structure, moving toward a curated and welcoming hospitality service, inspired by the elite tourism of the charming Belle Époque period of Lake Maggiore.

He chose the name Camin Hotel Colmegna, due to the fireplace in room 107 and the location in tiny Colmegna, which became a popular destination for hotel and restaurant Guests.
Instead, the last three decades shine under the solar energy of Lara Luz, daughter of Engineer Lothar, who has been the heart and leader of the Property since 1994. To her we owe the decision to return to the name Villa Porta to emphasize the evolution of a structure that aims for service excellence without forgetting the values of its origins.
