Experience the magic of The Lyric Rooms, a fully refurbished wedding venue with its own charming chapel, nestled in Ashby. We specialise in creating beautiful celebrations, from grand weddings to intimate gatherings, bringing expertise and warmth to every private occasion.

Our beautiful building dates back to 1721, when it was originally built as a School.

The Lyric Rooms, was also previously a cinema called the Lyric Picture Palace.

The cinema, which opened in 1912, was originally the former Wagon & Horses public house.

The Lyric Rooms, as it is today, is the result of extensive renovations and in August 2022, The Lyric Rooms has seen a complete overhaul of the interior decor, including the reception area and a brand new and fully refurbished bar.

In May 2023, The Lyric Rooms had brand new carpets throughout the main hall, balcony and bar areas and as of December 2023 our beautiful new ceiling has been wowing our guests with its elegant, cozy and intimate lighting.

December 2023 saw The Lyric Rooms attain it’s full wedding licence, which now enables us to hold civil ceremonies in the Chapel, main hall or for smaller, more intimate ceremonies, the balconied bar area.
