The Swiss Cottage at Shuttleworth was perfect for our ceremony. The team were so organised, professional and friendly meaning we could have a fun, carefree day that ran perfectly. The Swiss gardens were perfect for photos with plenty of different areas for memorable shots. We would definitely recommend Shuttleworth as a venue.

From the moment we booked Shuttleworth as our wedding venue, Georgia and all the team were so incredibly helpful. Having the whole house for our venue was amazing and enabled us to zone the different areas of the house. Shuttleworth is beautiful on the inside and outside and when rain was forecast for our ceremony, having the ceremony indoors was just as Romantic. We had our wedding breakfast in the saloon which is breathtaking and many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. It seems to be a hidden gem as most venue's you only get one or two rooms. We had an incredible day and cannot wait to see our official photos! If you're thinking of considering Shuttleworth for your special day, we would highly recommend!

Everything from start to finish at Shuttleworth was seamless. Georgia, who co-ordinated everything for us, was just fabulous. Nothing was too much to ask (even doing photocopying for us when we had miscounted numbers for something going on the tables!). We felt at ease throughout the whole process and knew that everything would be taken care of. Georgia liaised with all of our suppliers in terms of times and arrival so we didn’t have to think about a thing on the day. The venue is just stunning - all our guests commented how beautiful it is and was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to! We couldn’t have asked for a better day.

The whole team at Shuttleworth went above and beyond for our wedding. Georgia was incredibly helpful at guiding us through the process before the day, being in regular contact and supporting us with anything we were unsure about. On the day itself, everyone was flexible and supportive - finding items to help decorate that we had forgotten, giving us as much time as possible to set up and helping with all of the pack down. Having the flat included in the hire price is also wonderful as it meant we weren't stressing about transport or storage and could get ready comfortably before the ceremony too. The whole day couldn't have gone any better and that's without even mentioning how stunning the venue is. It really is the best wedding venue even in October, when the grounds are filled with a beautiful mixture of colours.

From the moment we visited Shuttleworth House we knew this was where we wanted to get married. Georgia was absolutely fantastic and supported us through the whole process from booking the venue to being part of our special day. Lots of people say arranging a wedding is an extremely stressful event, but we can honestly say that our experience was not stressful at all. Our big day was amazing and was better than we could have ever hoped for. We would 100% recommend Shuttleworth (and Georgia) as a venue to get married. You will not be disappointed

Booked Shuttleworth for our wedding as we thought it looked beautiful and read other reviews online, and really enjoyed visiting. Just over 2 months before the wedding date, they email to say they have accepted a c.4000 person corporate event booking next to the main house (which we had exclusivity of) on the same day so we would be impacted. Contractually they get away with it as you obviously don't have exclusivity of the entire 4500 acre estate. What they don't tell you upfront however is that they're only allowed to use a tiny portion of this land for events and it's all next to each other so you will get disturbance from multiple events on the same day (excluding the Hangars/where the planes are). Shuttleworth management said it has happened many times before (i.e. multiple events in parallel) and disturbance to a wedding can happen as they are a multi event site, which is not what we were told when booking. They acknowledged our wedding would be impacted by this corporate booking- our videographer said our video would be ruined noise wise (the corporate event had live music, fair ground rides, a ferris wheel, a PA system, food trucks etc, a stones throw away from where we would have been), let alone it being an eyesore which you could see from where we had planned to have our wedding breakfast. Our wedding became collateral damage to this corporate event so we cancelled. Georgia (Wedding Manager) and Rhys did not apologise and we found their conduct to be highly disappointing. Could not recommend this venue (despite being picturesque) in good faith on the basis that contractually they can (and are happy) to ruin an existing wedding booking they have (and at such short notice too) with noisy, eyesore multiple events on site - hardly the peaceful exclusive venue they market themselves to be.

Georgia French and her team ensured that my wife and I had the most amazing day of our life. Everything was thoroughly planned and delivered exactly as we envisaged. Georgia was very kind and accommodating of our requests and the venue was nothing short of magnificent.

The team was also very helpful and supportive the day before the wedding and the day after, which allowed me and my family to enjoy our stay at the House. We’ve visited several castles and venues with historic beauty to choose our wedding venue, and I can honestly say that hardly any would offer you what the Shuttleworth House and the team running have.

Our wedding was in April & we had the best day! The venue was perfect. The building is impressive, beautiful & not too big it feels empty. We decided to have our reception on the lawn which was amazing & then we had the downstairs rooms for our meal & party! Georgia helped to organise the wedding and was very informative and helpful. She could answer any questions we had. The only downer was she was only around for part of the day!!
Our guests had a great time and we had so many compliments about the venue. Thank you team Shuttleworth!

From the minute we drove up to Shuttleworth house we had a feeling that this would be the location for us. From the previous research we had done on venues around the areas we were amazed by how incredible it was for what seemed a fraction of the cost that so many other places were charging.
From our first meeting with Georgia we were made to feel really welcome and given a great tour with so much detail that allowed us lots to think about. The flexibility the venue offers for different rooms and settings played a huge part in our decision to choose Shuttleworth and the rooms, grounds and buildings are incredible.
In the build up to our big day Georgia and her team provided regular check ins and answered all of our questions in a polite and efficient manner. We went in to the day feeling calm and relaxed (well at least one of us did) knowing that we were in safe hands.
The day itself went without fault. We were so lucky to have a beautiful sunny day which meant we were able to use so much of the outdoor spaces, allowing children to run around and play games while still having the whole house for the main events.
The day was amazing and it couldn't have been any better and we owe so much of this to Georgia and the team at Shuttleworth for playing such a huge role in this.
Although we can't guarantee the weather we can guarantee that if you were to choose Shuttleworth you would not be disappointed

Shuttleworth House is a showstopper.

I will never forget the first moment we saw the house as we approached in our car, from that very moment we knew this was our perfect wedding venue.

Myself and my now husband wanted a grand stately home where we could celebrate a black-tie winter wedding with our loved ones.

We visited around 18 months before and met the weddings manager Georgia who showed us around the house and grounds.

The house is one of the last few stately homes to celebrate its beautiful heritage. The ballroom and morning room are particularly beautiful. We knew it was perfect so we booked that week!

The beauty of Shuttleworth is there are so many options. We had a winter wedding and had a Gatsby style vision so used the house but the grounds are equally as beautiful and would be perfect for a summer wedding.

Fast forward 18 months and lots of planning (Georgia was phenomenal and kept in contact throughout) and our special day arrived.

Magical, we had the best day.

Georgia and her team we cannot thank you enough. Everything ran smoothly, our guests absolutely loved the venue and the service provided. Our Shuttleworth recommended catering company Portfolio Events were also outstanding and provided the best food.

We were completely obsessed with Shuttleworth house and it’s grounds for a while before we decided to look into booking our wedding.
Georgia French was more than helpful and accommodating with every enquiry we had from start to finish.
On the day, staff did their best to make every wish come true with an organised and professional approach.
We were lucky enough to have the weather on our side for our big day and held our ceremony outdoors at the summer house. It was truly a dream come true and more beautiful than we could have imagined.

We have been blown away with the service that Shuttleworth provided us for our special day. Our contact, Georgia, was superbly capable in handling all our requirements, reassuring us during the planning stage and giving excellent recommendations for suppliers.
Since we had to do most of the planning at a long distance, she was generous with her time and accommodating us with zoom calls so things went smoothly.

On the lead up to the day she would check in with us and confirm all details, and on the day the venue looked fabulous and exactly as we had imagined.
Not only do you get this spectacular venue, its wonderful rooms and history, but the grounds as a beautiful setting for photos. Plus, guests staying also have access to the Shuttleworth collection of historical aircraft.
The venue also has excellent rooms for guests, and a bridal flat with impressive views of the grounds, which we enjoyed on the day after!

All in all, this gorgeous manor house was the perfect place for our special day!

Shuttleworth is a truly stunning venue, from our initial meeting we were looked after, and that didn't change for the 2 years we had between booking and getting married there.
Georgia and her team are incredible it is very rare to see a whole team go above an beyond but that is the only way I can describe the service we received.
We got married in the swiss garden and the included floral display was stunning, the pod bar and the way our guests were treated made us feel truly special and welcome.
We had the white rose for our travel to the swiss garden and the garden suite for our reception the bar staff were welcoming, helpful and so friendly to all of our guests.
I cannot recommend Shuttleworth enough for a wedding set in idilic grounds, amazing friendly staff and for a great price, most people don't realise just how much a heritage site can help the wallet.
If anyone recommends going to look at or getting married at Shuttleworth don't ignore them.

We booked our wedding at Shuttleworth with 5 weeks to go due to late change of venue as previous suppliers were not performing. Have to say it was everything we expected and more. Beautiful place to get married - everything on the day was perfect - the ceremony took place in the lovely billiard room with gorgeous view of the grounds, and then back to the drinks reception. After this we had full use of the ground floor for the rest of the wedding. Food was lovely and all well catered for. Georgia the wedding planner was so efficient and clearly enjoyed her job and always responded immediately to emails and phone calls. So glad we did last-minute change of venue and looking forward to seeing the full photos with such lovely backgrounds.
