We visited the Swiss gardens in spring and knew if it looked magical in the rain then it would be amazing in Autumn. We could tell Georgia was very experienced, she explained all the options clearly and kept in touch with us throughout the process. They had recently applied for an extended license for the grotto and Georgia kept in touch and confirmed that we could invite a few more guests. On the day of our wedding in early October, everything went smoothly. Georgia and her team ensured everyone was where they were meant to be. Would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful venue!

Beautiful venue, you need to see to believe. From beginning to end the venue was easy to work with, Georgia was amazing. They have a good list of wedding catering and musicians that know and work with the venue well and Shuttleworth was a favourite everyone we spoke to. All our guests loved it and said how lovely it was. I feel very lucky to have had our special day here.

I cannot recommend Shuttleworth enough as a wedding venue, everything from the staff, to the rooms and the location. It was absolutely fantastic and made the wedding magical. Georgia (the wedding/venue manager) is on top of everything and will help you think of things you may have missed! Katie (who was in charge in the evening) was so kind and helpful when we forgot to cut the cake! Overall an absolutely incredible experience. Our guests didn't want to leave!

Our wedding day was even more than we had expected. The calmness on the day was amazing with Georgia's oversight on every aspect of catering, cake and flower deliveries, as well as orchestrating the whole event, even putting on our button holes. The venue was simply beautiful with superb grounds for photo's, but my husband and I can honestly not praise Georgia enough for all the support leading up to our special day and her commitment on the day to make it a truly amazing experience with a real wow factor.

From start to finish our wedding was seamless!

The venue was perfect - stunning mansion house surrounded by gorgeous green parkland. We had an outdoor ceremony so that our lovely doggo could be our ring bearer! Georgia at Shuttleworth helped us plan the most perfect day over the last year, answering all our many questions and ensuring everything ran smoothly! The venue has space for people to stay on-site too, and accommodated all of our family and wedding party to stay on-site comfortably! It felt like a giant sleepover! Absolutely nothing I would change, and look forward to visiting the beautiful venue again for our anniversaries!

The Swiss Cottage at Shuttleworth was perfect for our ceremony. The team were so organised, professional and friendly meaning we could have a fun, carefree day that ran perfectly. The Swiss gardens were perfect for photos with plenty of different areas for memorable shots. We would definitely recommend Shuttleworth as a venue.

Booked Shuttleworth for our wedding as we thought it looked beautiful and read other reviews online, and really enjoyed visiting. Just over 2 months before the wedding date, they email to say they have accepted a c.4000 person corporate event booking next to the main house (which we had exclusivity of) on the same day so we would be impacted. Contractually they get away with it as you obviously don't have exclusivity of the entire 4500 acre estate. What they don't tell you upfront however is that they're only allowed to use a tiny portion of this land for events and it's all next to each other so you will get disturbance from multiple events on the same day (excluding the Hangars/where the planes are). Shuttleworth management said it has happened many times before (i.e. multiple events in parallel) and disturbance to a wedding can happen as they are a multi event site, which is not what we were told when booking. They acknowledged our wedding would be impacted by this corporate booking- our videographer said our video would be ruined noise wise (the corporate event had live music, fair ground rides, a ferris wheel, a PA system, food trucks etc, a stones throw away from where we would have been), let alone it being an eyesore which you could see from where we had planned to have our wedding breakfast. Our wedding became collateral damage to this corporate event so we cancelled. Georgia (Wedding Manager) and Rhys did not apologise and we found their conduct to be highly disappointing. Could not recommend this venue (despite being picturesque) in good faith on the basis that contractually they can (and are happy) to ruin an existing wedding booking they have (and at such short notice too) with noisy, eyesore multiple events on site - hardly the peaceful exclusive venue they market themselves to be.

Georgia French and her team ensured that my wife and I had the most amazing day of our life. Everything was thoroughly planned and delivered exactly as we envisaged. Georgia was very kind and accommodating of our requests and the venue was nothing short of magnificent.

The team was also very helpful and supportive the day before the wedding and the day after, which allowed me and my family to enjoy our stay at the House. We’ve visited several castles and venues with historic beauty to choose our wedding venue, and I can honestly say that hardly any would offer you what the Shuttleworth House and the team running have.

From the moment we booked Shuttleworth as our wedding venue, Georgia and all the team were so incredibly helpful. Having the whole house for our venue was amazing and enabled us to zone the different areas of the house. Shuttleworth is beautiful on the inside and outside and when rain was forecast for our ceremony, having the ceremony indoors was just as Romantic. We had our wedding breakfast in the saloon which is breathtaking and many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. It seems to be a hidden gem as most venue's you only get one or two rooms. We had an incredible day and cannot wait to see our official photos! If you're thinking of considering Shuttleworth for your special day, we would highly recommend!

Our wedding was in April & we had the best day! The venue was perfect. The building is impressive, beautiful & not too big it feels empty. We decided to have our reception on the lawn which was amazing & then we had the downstairs rooms for our meal & party! Georgia helped to organise the wedding and was very informative and helpful. She could answer any questions we had. The only downer was she was only around for part of the day!!
Our guests had a great time and we had so many compliments about the venue. Thank you team Shuttleworth!
