To the Westenhanger team,
Where can I start… I had the most wonderful wedding day thanks to your team from the moment I had the first viewing to the day itself it has been an amazing experience. Your whole team has been so friendly, professional, approachable and made the day perfect!
I felt like a princess on the day, getting ready in the beautiful suite with the most delicious breakfast, it was so relaxed, fun and calm!! Georgia you were amazing keeping all the stress from me and making sure the day run so smoothly even when the registrar lady was telling us off for having the ceremony outside, you still made sure I had the day I wanted!
The venue looked absolutely stunning, the grounds were beautifully kept and all the guests complimented how gorgeous it was. The food was lovely, all the guests have since complimented us on how nice the food was, the drinks were flowing and plenty!
We both had the best day and thank you so much! I wish we could come back and do it all over again! -

I found the venue online and their fantastic website allows you to see estimated cost based on the date and number of people. Very practical! I was surprised that it was within our budget. So i booked to view it and we were inlove with the place! Tanya was so lovely showing us the place. Right there I knew we found the venue. Full of character & history yet very well maintained. From the sonas website that made planning so much easier to our event coordinator, Kelly! Everyone was so professional and helpful. Onto the wedding day, all the guests were complementing the food and staff service , it was like 5 stat hotel service. Our guests were all praises with the venue. I couldn’t find a fault! Best decision we made! I highly recommend it. Imagine getting married ina dreamy castle without breaking the bank. A dream come true.

The Ladies are Amazing , My Venue went into administration and had 2 weeks until we were supposed to married. I phoned up and spoke to the amazing Vicki, it then all fell into place. The amazing Kelley was the super hero of the day. I Don't know how Kelleys day went but mine was amazing from start to finish.

The Castle Westenhanger
Beautiful , stunning. I was a princess the whole day.
The character of the old building , the turret, the getting ready room were amazing. The old ship in the grounds and the ruins , all my guest (and me ) commented on how stunning and beautiful this place is.
The marquee reception was spacious and we had a fantastic evening.
We upgraded our Dj Package (decore and more lights) and it was really worth it , my photos are amazing.
I Will 100% recommend this stunning venue.
If I could do it all over again I would.

The venue was so supportive and helpful with any of our choices
The team were lovely both leading up to the day and on the day
The venue itself is also dreamy. It was stunning enough that everyone said how beautiful it was, but it wasn't the scene stealer of the day- because it highlighted us as a couple perfectly.

We first looked at this venue 2 years ago. We had a small list of places to view and this was first on our list. When we drove up to the venue we couldn't believe how beautiful it was.
The lady who showed us around was so lovely and told us the history of the castle.
The grounds were absolutely stunning and had a magical feeling.
We spoke to one another and neither of us wanted to look anywhere else. We had fallen in love with it.
The team were fantastic and any email I sent was quickly answered. No request was too much for them. They even allowed us to have a unicorn attend on the day.
Fast forward 2 years and we finally said I do.
We couldn't have asked for a better day.
We even had one of our guests say she had never been to a wedding before and no other wedding she would be invited to, could ever top the one at the castle.
If you are looking for the most magical place to get married, I highly recommend The Westenhanger Castle, you will not be disappointed -

I couldn't be happier with our wedding at Castle Westenhanger! As someone who loves history and all that Kent has to offer, this venue delivered a completely perfect and magical wedding day.
Exceptional Staff & Seamless Service:
The staff were absolutely exceptional - they knew exactly what they were doing and handled everything so smoothly that our guests didn't even register being moved from place to place. The day just flowed with complete perfection around us, and any hiccups that occurred were resolved without us even being aware of them. The team was incredibly flexible, saying "yes" to every request we made throughout the day, from moving guests between tables to adjusting how the DJ took requests.
Outstanding Wedding Planner:
Our wedding planner Jackie was spectacular! I really cannot stress this enough, what an asset to the venue Jackie is! We felt so looked after and cared for. When we had to postpone our wedding by a year, the venue was incredibly understanding and helpful throughout the process.
Stunning Ceremony & Grounds:
Our outdoor ceremony was absolutely stunning, beautifully protected from the wind within the castle walls. The photo opportunities within the grounds are so special, and the Dove Cote adds such a unique element to the venue. The hidden dance floor reveal was a spectacular moment that our guests are still talking about!
Exceptional Food & Service:
The food throughout the day was outstanding - every single guest has commented on how beautiful and delicious everything was. We chose the hot British classics for the evening, served directly to our guests on trays so they didn't have to queue anywhere. The service was impeccable.
Practical Considerations:
There was plenty of parking for our 120 guests, the staff were incredibly helpful with everything. We used the venue's DJ and would suggest being quite prescriptive with song choices if you have specific preferences, though they followed our general direction perfectly.
Perfect Flexibility & Atmosphere:
The staff were practically invisible unless you needed them, and then they appeared immediately. The venue's flexibility and the team's professionalism made our day absolutely perfect.
Castle Westenhanger is a stunning venue that delivers on every level - I'm so pleased we chose this magical place for our special day!

We had an incredible day and are still getting so many compliments from our guests and suppliers on how beautiful the different parts of the castle and its grounds are. It was an unusual wedding (queer Jewish/Christian interfaith), but Jackie, Vicky and co helped to make sure that we had all the things that were important to us, from the vegan food and alcohol-free drinks to the gender neutral toilets to getting the dancing going before the meal had even started. The ceremony room was perfect (and a special thank you to the person who went up on a ladder to put a covering over the boar head that's mounted on the wall!), and we had some amazing photos and videos back from our photographers/videographer highlighting the beauty across the entire venue. We also really appreciate that the company running the venue sent many of the key staff members on trans awareness training so that we could have the most gender-affirming day possible. Thank you Westenhanger team!
