Booking a venue sight unseen from the U.S. was nerve-wracking, but we put our trust in the reviews and photos—and Villa Poggio di Gaville exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were completely enchanted. Nestled in the hills of Chianti, the property feels like a private Tuscan dream, surrounded by peaceful nature and breathtaking views.
Having the entire villa to ourselves made the experience feel even more magical. We spent our days swimming, relaxing, enjoying delicious meals, and soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of Samira and her incredible father, a masterful chef.
Every meal was a celebration—rich with flavor, tradition, and love. Their kindness, generosity, and deep pride in their food and culture made our three days there the most special of our entire trip. We’ll forever be grateful for the care they showed us and the memories they helped create. -

I researched Tuscan villas for a few months before contacting Villa Poggio di Gaville. From the photos, it looked like a true representation of Tuscany, a quaint, charming, and peaceful place where I could gather my family to celebrate a second marriage.
It was quaint and peaceful, but it was so much more than that!
We hosted 26 guests of all ages, each with different personalities and interests, for a multi-day celebration that included a cooking class, a pizza party, pool time, breakfasts, brunches, and, of course, our wedding. Every single person had an amazing time!. It's incredibly rare to be able to say that about a large gathering — and many told me that our wedding was the nicest they had ever attended
Samira, her father Jamal, and the incredible staff created something truly extraordinary. Their hospitality, thoughtful planning, exceptional food, and genuine warmth transformed our wedding into an experience that is difficult to put into words. The closest I can come is to say it was magical!
By the time we left, it truly felt as though we were saying goodbye to friends rather than hosts. We will absolutely be back! -

From the moment we arrived at Villa Poggio di Gaville, we felt less like guests and more like family. There is something so special about this place – quaint, beautiful, peaceful and wonderfully homely. It instantly felt like home, and leaving at the end of our three-day celebration was far more emotional than we could ever have imagined.
Our wedding weekend was honestly better than we ever dreamed possible. Throughout the planning process and during our stay, we never once felt rushed or pressured. Everything was handled with such calm confidence, warmth and professionalism that we were able to truly relax and enjoy every moment.
A special mention has to go to Samira, whose joyful energy and incredible attention to detail made the whole experience feel effortless. She took so much stress off our plates by coordinating with exceptional local vendors that she knows and trusts. Every recommendation – from our photographer and musicians to our florist – was beyond excellent, saving us countless hours of research and giving us complete confidence that we were in the best hands.
Jamal deserves enormous praise too. We had never sampled the food before the wedding, but we needn’t have worried for a second. Every meal throughout the weekend was absolutely exquisite and became one of the biggest talking points amongst our guests. The quality, creativity and generosity were simply phenomenal.
Sylvia and every member of staff behind the scenes contributed to making our stay unforgettable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every interaction was met with kindness, smiles and genuine care. It is clear that everyone at Villa Poggio di Gaville pours their heart into creating magical experiences, and it shows in every detail.
The pricing throughout was transparent, clearly laid out and incredibly reasonable, which made planning so much easier and stress-free.
We spent three unforgettable days celebrating with 34 of our closest family and friends. Villa Poggio di Gaville wasn’t just the setting for our wedding; it became part of our story and felt like home. We will forever be grateful to Samira, Jamal, Sylvia and the entire team for giving us memories more beautiful than we could ever have imagined.

I was just a guest at the wedding, but Samira was so lovely and helped us out with everything we needed. Scenery was STUNNING, food was out of this world. What an amazing weekend all because of the love that goes into this villa -

Samira and her team were absolutely amazing. My wife and I traveled from the states to get married at this Villa. We were a bit worried, as destination weddings are never easy. Well - it couldn’t have gone better. The team here took us in like family. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND before, during, and after the ceremony. From coffee in the morning, answering any questions, dancing with us, to being the best hosts we could ask for. Beyond the amazing team, the villa was much more gorgeous than expected. It was literally breathtaking and provided the perfect destination wedding.

Dear Samira and Jamal, we could not have imagined a more beautiful day for us than we had with you. From start to finish, everything was a thousand times more incredible and beautiful than we could have imagined. Staying with you for a few days before our wedding felt like a new home and the feeling only grew. Every single one of our guests enjoyed themselves as much as we did. The decorations were stunning, you were always there with a helping hand, flexible as needed (for example when the light wasn't great yet for photos and we did the aperitivo a bit earlier than planned) and your support und kindness is unmatched. The food was amazing, the lights were amazing, the party was amazing. The villa exudes its warmth and felt so much like home, and especially thanks to you and your whole team at the villa. From the pizza party on the first night to the ceremony, the party after the wedding to the brunch and pool party and pasta the next day, honestly, every tiniest thing was perfect! Thank you so, so much for everything. We can't wait to be back next year (and as many years after as possible)!Villa Poggio di Gaville's reply:

We had a wonderful time celebrating our autumnal themed wedding at Villa Poggio Di Gaville.
Villa Poggio Di Gaville is a beautiful venue, the house has many rooms and each have their own unique personality. We were able to comfortably sleep 24 people during the night of our wedding, the beauty doesn't stop there, there is also so much to go and explore on the grounds of the villa, the wild horses, the lovely pool area (it may be too cold in October but that didn't stop my now wife from taking a dip!).
The villa is picturesque and made the perfect setting for our wedding. There was also ample space available for our DJ and for speakers to be moved around through the day for where we wanted the music to be.
The best part about it is the lovely hosts, Jamal and Samira, Jamal's food was excellent, and they also catered for some of our vegan guests and those with allergies. One guest even mentioned it was "The best vegan food I've had in Italy". Both were super responsive, and open, to all of our requests and made it really feel like everything was under control.
From coffees in the morning, to having all the chairs and tables set up without any stress from us, the team made everything so easy. The weather was about as good as we could have asked for in October - with a sunny warm ceremony, but even as the night progressed and it got colder, this was taken into account and we were made to feel very comfortable with outdoor heaters set up for us.
The fun didn't end at the end of the wedding either, the next morning we had a lovely breakfast for all of the guests, and then once everyone had left we spent a lovely time getting to know Jamal and Samira some more. It was truly special and interesting to learn about all of Jamal's travels, experiences, his book. It's a very special lifestyle you've got going on and it was lovely to have been a small part of it during our big day.
We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

We booked the entire residence of Villa Poggio di Gaville for a wedding weekend of 24 guests, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The place is pure magic, the service and flexibility unmatched and the food was incredible. Heartily recommend this venue for a rustic and beautiful wedding in Tuscany. -

From the very beginning, wedding planning was completely stress-free thanks to Samira. With so much love and ease, she guided us through every step of the preparations. Communication was always smooth and warm, and we felt completely taken care of.
Our guests arrived a day after us and were welcomed just as warmly as we were. Together, we took part in a cooking class – an absolute highlight! You can truly feel the passion for food, life, and the culture of this beautiful country.
On the wedding day itself, everything went perfectly and smoothly – even on time (which, as Germans, we really appreciated 😅). Samira took care of every detail, helped wherever she could, and was simply a wonderful soul. Her father was also always there for us, sharing his knowledge about food with such enthusiasm and adding to the special atmosphere.
Not only the family but also all the staff were incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. We didn’t feel like guests – we felt at home.
On our last day, we were able to relax by the pool once more and ended our stay with a joyful pizza party – the perfect ending to a perfect trip.
Whether you are looking for a wedding venue, a place to unwind in nature, or a base to explore the surroundings – this is the right place. You will be welcomed with open arms, surrounded by love, and immediately feel like part of the family.
We loved every single second and can wholeheartedly recommend it! -

From the moment, we reached out to them, we have been able to work towards our dream wedding. Because we truly had our dream wedding. And especially the flexibility of the team at the Villa has been so helpful to us. Samira has been open to our questions throughout the whole process and made sure that everything would be in order. We are so grateful for having found this venue and for Samira, Jamal and the rest of the team for making our dream wedding possible. And the wedding venue is incredibly beautiful btw. -
