Booking a venue sight unseen from the U.S. was nerve-wracking, but we put our trust in the reviews and photos—and Villa Poggio di Gaville exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were completely enchanted. Nestled in the hills of Chianti, the property feels like a private Tuscan dream, surrounded by peaceful nature and breathtaking views.
Having the entire villa to ourselves made the experience feel even more magical. We spent our days swimming, relaxing, enjoying delicious meals, and soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of Samira and her incredible father, a masterful chef.
Every meal was a celebration—rich with flavor, tradition, and love. Their kindness, generosity, and deep pride in their food and culture made our three days there the most special of our entire trip. We’ll forever be grateful for the care they showed us and the memories they helped create. -

We had a wonderful time celebrating our autumnal themed wedding at Villa Poggio Di Gaville.
Villa Poggio Di Gaville is a beautiful venue, the house has many rooms and each have their own unique personality. We were able to comfortably sleep 24 people during the night of our wedding, the beauty doesn't stop there, there is also so much to go and explore on the grounds of the villa, the wild horses, the lovely pool area (it may be too cold in October but that didn't stop my now wife from taking a dip!).
The villa is picturesque and made the perfect setting for our wedding. There was also ample space available for our DJ and for speakers to be moved around through the day for where we wanted the music to be.
The best part about it is the lovely hosts, Jamal and Samira, Jamal's food was excellent, and they also catered for some of our vegan guests and those with allergies. One guest even mentioned it was "The best vegan food I've had in Italy". Both were super responsive, and open, to all of our requests and made it really feel like everything was under control.
From coffees in the morning, to having all the chairs and tables set up without any stress from us, the team made everything so easy. The weather was about as good as we could have asked for in October - with a sunny warm ceremony, but even as the night progressed and it got colder, this was taken into account and we were made to feel very comfortable with outdoor heaters set up for us.
The fun didn't end at the end of the wedding either, the next morning we had a lovely breakfast for all of the guests, and then once everyone had left we spent a lovely time getting to know Jamal and Samira some more. It was truly special and interesting to learn about all of Jamal's travels, experiences, his book. It's a very special lifestyle you've got going on and it was lovely to have been a small part of it during our big day.
We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

We booked the entire residence of Villa Poggio di Gaville for a wedding weekend of 24 guests, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The place is pure magic, the service and flexibility unmatched and the food was incredible. Heartily recommend this venue for a rustic and beautiful wedding in Tuscany. -

From the very beginning, wedding planning was completely stress-free thanks to Samira. With so much love and ease, she guided us through every step of the preparations. Communication was always smooth and warm, and we felt completely taken care of.
Our guests arrived a day after us and were welcomed just as warmly as we were. Together, we took part in a cooking class – an absolute highlight! You can truly feel the passion for food, life, and the culture of this beautiful country.
On the wedding day itself, everything went perfectly and smoothly – even on time (which, as Germans, we really appreciated 😅). Samira took care of every detail, helped wherever she could, and was simply a wonderful soul. Her father was also always there for us, sharing his knowledge about food with such enthusiasm and adding to the special atmosphere.
Not only the family but also all the staff were incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. We didn’t feel like guests – we felt at home.
On our last day, we were able to relax by the pool once more and ended our stay with a joyful pizza party – the perfect ending to a perfect trip.
Whether you are looking for a wedding venue, a place to unwind in nature, or a base to explore the surroundings – this is the right place. You will be welcomed with open arms, surrounded by love, and immediately feel like part of the family.
We loved every single second and can wholeheartedly recommend it! -

Wedding July 2025
From the moment, we reached out to them, we have been able to work towards our dream wedding. Because we truly had our dream wedding. And especially the flexibility of the team at the Villa has been so helpful to us. Samira has been open to our questions throughout the whole process and made sure that everything would be in order. We are so grateful for having found this venue and for Samira, Jamal and the rest of the team for making our dream wedding possible. And the wedding venue is incredibly beautiful btw. -

We had the most incredible experience at this stunning villa just outside of Florence! From start to finish, Samira was beyond responsive and helpful—truly a dream host. Planning a wedding from 5,000 miles away was no small task, but Samira made the process feel effortless. She went above and beyond to accommodate every request and helped turn our vision into reality. The property was breathtaking, and our stay was seamless. The food was incredible, especially the truffle ravioli!! I can't recommend Villa Poggio di Gaville enough! -

We had the absolute joy of celebrating our wedding at Villa Poggio di Gaville on April 12, 2025, and it was everything we dreamed of and more.
From the start of our planning journey, Samira was an incredible support — always kind, responsive, and willing to go the extra mile to help us find suppliers and accommodate our needs. When we arrived, she welcomed us and our families with such warmth that we instantly felt at home.
The villa and surrounding area itself is stunning, but what truly made the weekend unforgettable was the heartfelt hospitality from Samira and her father, Jamal. Jamal’s cooking was exceptional — among the best meals we had in Italy — and he thoughtfully catered to all dietary needs while making time to personally connect with our guests.
We have received so many compliments about the beauty of the venue and the kindness of the hosts. Thanks to Samira and Jamal, our wedding day was magical — a memory we will cherish forever.
We cannot recommend this venue enough and are already looking forward to returning one day! -

Our Dream Wedding
Our wedding at Villa Poggio Di Gaville was truly wonderful, and we’re incredibly grateful to the team for making it so memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the beauty of the villa and its peaceful surroundings. Set among rolling hills and greenery, the venue has a natural charm that you really have to see in person.
The villa itself is warm and inviting, with cozy rooms and rustic details throughout. We did notice a few little imperfections—like a cracked tile here and there—but these small quirks only added to the villa’s unique character. It’s a place with history and personality, which made our time there feel even more special.
One of our favorite parts of the weekend was the poolside party. Celebrating under the open Tuscan sky, by the water, with all our friends and family around us was absolutely unforgettable.
The food was another highlight. Chef Jamal’s dishes were exceptional, and all our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. Each meal was prepared with great care, which added so much to the experience. The entire team was warm and attentive, always ready to help and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly.
We also appreciated the freedom to bring our own decorator from Germany, as well as our photographers and videographers. This allowed us to add personal touches to the day, making it even more meaningful.
We’d like to extend a special thanks to Samira, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was just as we wanted it. She was so welcoming and accommodating, open to every idea and detail we had in mind. Her care and dedication really made us feel supported and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our day.
The dedication, warmth and attention to detail from the Villa Poggio Di Gaville team made it feel like the perfect wedding for us. We couldn’t be happier with our choice—it was everything we dreamed of and more, and we look forward to returning soon to relive the wonderful memories.
