Where do I even begin? The Willows at The Woodmans isn’t just a wedding venue – it’s a place where dreams are brought to life. From the moment we walked in, I was in awe. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful, filled with warmth, elegance, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale.
But what truly makes this place extraordinary is the people. Fiona, Becky, Kayleigh, and every single member of the team poured their hearts into making our day flawless. They weren’t just staff – they became part of our journey, guiding us, supporting us, and making sure every detail was perfect.
When my mam sadly passed away, I was overwhelmed and heartbroken, unsure how to move forward. Without hesitation, they allowed me to change our wedding date – no questions asked – showing a level of kindness and compassion I will never forget. It wasn’t just about a wedding; they cared about us as people, and that meant everything.
The food? Out of this world. Guests still talk about it, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget how incredible it all tasted. But beyond the food, the service, and the setting, it was the feeling – of being loved, supported, and celebrated – that made it so special.
To The Willows at The Woodmans – thank you for giving us not just a wedding day, but a memory that will stay in our hearts forever. If you’re looking for a venue that is as beautiful in spirit as it is in appearance, this is the one. -

Our amazing wedding at the Willows at the Woodmans
We can’t thank The Willows team enough for everything they did to make our wedding day so special. Fiona, Kayleigh, and Kirsty were truly incredible from start to finish – not only in organising the happiest day of our lives, but also in supporting us through one of the most difficult times.
After having to cancel our original wedding date due to the heartbreaking loss of my mam, they showed us such compassion, care, and flexibility. They helped us reorganise everything, and made what felt like an overwhelming situation so much more manageable. We’ll never forget their kindness.
On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly. We honestly didn’t even know what time it was all day – and that’s the best compliment we can give! Fiona took care of absolutely everything behind the scenes so we could just relax, be present, and enjoy every moment. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing.
The venue looked absolutely stunning, the team were so professional and attentive, and the food was amazing – we had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was, and how beautiful the setting was.
We stayed over that night in the Honeymoon Suite, and our family stayed in the other rooms. Every room was lovely – so comfortable and beautifully done. Waking up the next morning to our first breakfast as Mr & Mrs with our family was the perfect end to an unforgettable experience. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and such a lovely way to round off the celebrations.
The Willows will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you so much to the whole team – and especially Fiona, Kayleigh, and Kirsty – for helping us create such a meaningful and memorable day. We’re so grateful ❤️ -

We have recently had our wedding at the Willows & are so glad we chose this venue. All of the staff are amazing & helped to make the planning and the day so stress free for us. All our guests commented on how amazing the food & venue itself was.

What a beautiful place to get hitched. The Willows team couldn't do enough for us, from the quick response throughout and the attention to detail on the day, not to mention the delishious food also, no wonder they have won awards for the best wedding venue, staff and food. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, especially as we sprung it on them with our love of Starwars and involvement at cost to do there first themed wedding at the Willows. We were more than excited to share it all with them and them us. Thankyou to the Willows team for pulling it out of the bag and giving us an amazing day. The best day of our lives. We will be forever grateful and love yous all. X -

The Willows was exactly what I wanted. Filled with rustic items,greenery and chandeliers. Nothing was to much for this team of professionals. The food was outstanding and portions huge. The venue was clean and all staff couldn't do enough for you. Any ideas/changes welcome. The day can be as big or as intermit as you like. Highley recommend this venue my guests adored it. -

From start to finish Fiona and the team were incredible. No question was too silly to ask and no email was a trouble to reply to when I was having a flap about the little things.
We had a small and intimate wedding in the Seedling room which was perfect for our 30 guests. From start to finish everything was perfect, I could not of wished for a better day. The food was to die for, the staff were amazing and everyone enjoyed themselves on the day.
I even said to my husband the next day can we do it all over again as it was just everything we dreamt off!
This is one place that will always have a place in our hearts as we are not from the area as we live the midlands so being welcomed in was incredible
If you book this venue you will not be disappointed.

October 2024 Halloween Wedding
We got married at the stunning Willows at The Woodmans on Halloween 2024, and couldn’t recommend this venue any more if we tried! We viewed eight other wedding venues before we immediately walked into The Willows and knew it was the one for us!
It has a perfect central location with ample parking for guests and beautifully decorated rooms/bridal suite for the day of and night before the wedding. The venue is already stunningly decorated throughout which really helps keep additional costs of styling/venue dressing to a minimum. Both the ceremony room and main hall areas have a lot of character, atmosphere and warmth to them whilst still making it possible to style it to your own theme/vision so it ‘isn’t the same as everyone else’s’.
The Willows offer extremely competitively priced wedding packages, which pretty much have everything you could think of incorporated into them. There are no hidden costs. This was worlds apart from some other well known North East venues we viewed who were charging additional costs for the smallest of things - as well as saying a flat NO to the simplest of requests such as changing toast drink types. But not at The Willows! Any extras we wanted to add, or ideas we had for our day/night, were not a problem to the Wedding Team and they consistently worked with us to make our wedding day unique and individual to us.
The food (canapés, wedding breakfast and evening food) was stunning and highly complimented by everyone. The menu to choose from prior to sending invitations is vast and there really is something for everyone. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. If you’re unsure, just try the award winning food at The Woodmans Arms next door and you’ll instantly know what we mean!!
The Wedding Team are second to none. Very responsive to emails, organising meetings and regular check ins, always being on hand to help with any issues, I.e. supplier recommendations, and making sure the day/night runs smoothly. They are all very experienced, friendly and clearly good at what they do. This shone through in their professionalism, commitment to helping us with our wedding planning and showing a genuine interest in our ideas/themes. We loved Fiona in particular!!
