  The perfect wedding venue!

  We simply fell in love with The William Cecil, on our first visit we knew this was the place where we wanted to get married. The setting was perfect and the food was delicious, all of our guests LOVED the food! Every single member of the team there worked hard to make sure we had the day we wanted, the day was everything we imagined it would be and more. Nothing was ever too much trouble, Amy was patient and understanding throughout our entire planning process, she supported us in every aspect of the day and helped execute our day perfectly. We cannot recommend this venue enough, a great place to eat and stay but especially as a wedding venue. We wish we could do our day all over again.

  Customer service extraordinaire !

  A beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. The rooms are spectacular, especially the bridal suite which is totally amazing! We had the sunday roast dinner for our wedding dinner as our wedding was on a Sunday, the food was beyond expectations and everyone loved it! The most outstanding feature was the customer service we received throughout our 3 day stay. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and they certainly went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. Everyone was so kind and caring and really looked after us all so well. Highly recommended - don't look anywhere else !

  40th Anniversary and Vows renewal

  We enjoyed a most enjoyable day with friends and family. The team that looked after our day couldn't have made it any better than it was.
  Amy and the staff at the William Cecil looked after everything. The suppliers they recommended fulfilled all of the requirements seamlessly.

  The perfect wedding!

  The venue is stunning, full of character and charm. In a great location in the beautiful town of Stamford. The team are brilliant and enabled us to personalise the wedding to us, our tastes and ideas. The food was delicious and the highest quality. The same can be said for the drinks! Guests commented it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had the most perfect day and couldn’t be happier! The bridal suite is just WOW! Can’t fault anything about the venue, we have nothing but praise and wish we could do it all over again!

  Highly Recommend - The William Cecil, Stamford

  We recently got ‘hitched’ on NYE and chose The William Cecil because of their desire to help make our wedding the very best day possible!
  
  They catered for all of our needs - increased number of guests, dietary requirements, full use of the hotel and bedrooms, confetti cannons, greek plate smashing ceremony - you name it.
  
  Everything was made possible and everyone we dealt with was fantastic - Amy, Sergio, Laura and all of their great team helpful team!
  
  They also helped with recommendations for other suppliers and on the day there was no stress!
  
  We’d highly recommend and wish we could repeat the event every year!

  October Wedding - Frascogna/Holmes

  Where do I start?! From the moment I set foot in The William Cecil, I knew it was going to be the wedding venue of dreams and I wasn’t wrong.
  
  The venue itself is stunning, all of the rooms are divine and the setting is just incredible. As soon as you walk in to the hotel you feel like you’re at home, and are treated impeccably by all staff.
  
  Our wedding day was a dream thanks to The William Cecil and their team of dedicated and friendly staff. Despite some big timing/schedule changes on the day due to our car not arriving to take us to the church and failing to pick us up after the ceremony too to take us back to The William Cecil, the team worked tirelessly to ensure our day still ran as smoothly as possible and went completely above and beyond from the morning until the evening.
  
  I am so grateful to each and every one of the staff at William Cecil, especially our wonderful coordinator on the day, the chef, waiting and bar staff who were all amazing during the entirety of the day. Amy was so super helpful and awesome in the run up to the day, and always made me feel confident and comfortable with my choices everytime I felt a little self conscious about them due to our wedding being slightly untraditional, she always made us feel so comfortable and was always on hand to answer any questions no matter how big or small, we felt so supported by her.
  
  The food, service, and pretty much everything on the day was faultless, our guests were full of compliments, and I would highly recommend this venue for anyone’s wedding, no matter the style. You won’t regret it!

  October Wedding 2023

  Amy was so helpful at organising our day and it was absolutely perfect! We had so many comments about how nice the food was and the chef worked with us to produce our dishes of choice. The rooms are spectacular and all guests enjoyed breakfast.

  The perfect day

  Our wedding took place at The William Cecil in September and it really was the perfect day from start to finish. Lottie and the team were amazing and always so professional, we never felt stressed and everything was taken care of so we could enjoy our day. We would highly recommend The William Cecil as a wedding venue.

  Baker / Chick The Perfect Day

  What a fantastic day, the team at the William Cecil delivered on every level. Amy, Jonathan and his team were faultless and couldn’t do enough for us all. The venue itself was amazing, the garden and outside area for the ceremony truly made it magical. We couldn’t of asked for more and would 100% recommend for anyone. Our perfect day
