We recently had our wedding at The Talbot and honestly couldn’t have wished for a better venue. From start to finish, the team delivered everything we asked for and more, helping to make our day absolutely perfect.
The professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional throughout. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive, making both us and our guests feel incredibly well looked after.
We’ve received so many compliments from our guests about the food. Everything was beautifully presented, tasted amazing and the portions were very generous. We were especially impressed by the care taken with dietary requirements, even the vegan canapés were thoughtfully prepared and greatly appreciated.
One of the things we valued most was how seamlessly everything was managed behind the scenes. The team took care of every detail, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the day with our family and friends without having to worry about a thing.
We are so grateful to everyone at The Talbot for helping create memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We would highly recommend The Talbot to anyone looking for a wedding venue with outstanding service, incredible food and a team that truly goes above and beyond. Thank you again! ❤️ -

We had the BEST day at The Talbot and cannot thank the team enough. Guests were very complimentary of the team and the set up but the beauty of the venue and the food really stood out for them. I have had several inquiries about the katsu curry recipe! Quite a few family members stayed and absolutely loved the experience - rooms were gorgeous and breakfast was great. From our perspective, Pip was incredibly helpful (and patient) in all our meetings and made all our unusual ideas come together. We still can't believe that our vision actually worked and that is all down to her! Little touches like the music playing in the room when we went up with tired dancing feet as well as the bar staff knowing our names really made it that extra bit special.
Value for money was fantastic and they really do listen to and accommodate for you. We had a pizza van and an ice cream van as well as fantastic food from the hotel. The suite was decorated beautifully and the bar gave lots of choice to guests. Private area for wedding guests was perfect. So pleased we chose this venue. -

The Talbot was absolutely amazing for hosting our small wedding, nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond in ensuring everything ran smoothly. They took all the stress out of planning the day and Pip and Dorota were on hand every step of the process the help with anything we needed. The food was also amazing, and they catered for vegan options and requirements also. Can’t recommend them enough, they were brilliant. We will definitely be back for events in the future. -

The perfect wedding venue 💍
We 100% recommend The Talbot for your wedding.
Nothing was too much and we were well looked after on the day.
Everyone complimented the food and drink. Dorota was amazing on the day, she made us feel so comfortable and was well organised.

From the first to last visit, nothing was too much trouble.
The venue was perfect for our small wedding.
The accommodation was lovely.
Food was perfect and the menu tailor made for us.
All the staff were fantastic , Phillipa in particular.
Happy to recommend and use local companies for flowers, hair and table settings.

We got married at the Talbot on the 31st October 2025 and we had the most incredible time all thanks to the staff! I would recommend this venue 100 times over especially for a halloween wedding 👻
Phillipa looked after everything for us and she was so accommodating and kind 😊 The food was perfect and she accommodated to any dietary changes we had for both the wedding breakfast and evening buffet. Our wedding day went very smoothly and couldn't have asked for better, thank you all so much x -

Our dream wedding at The Talbot Hotel, Oundle - 5*****
We held our wedding at The Talbot Hotel on 26.10.25. Not only is this a beautiful, unique and charming venue, the staff are brilliant. Dorota, General Manager brings light and laughter along with her team. A special thank you to Joshua too along with the waitress for our wedding dinner!! Our day could not have gone any better. All our friends and family fell in love with the Talbot and we have no doubt you will too. The rooms are cosy and spacious, giving you a feel of luxury. The food is incredible and the grounds are picture perfect!! Thank you for the perfect day! Do not hesitate, book your wedding! This is a gem of a venue and its history and quaint touches. I wish we could relive our wedding at this beautiful venue time and time again! We will forever be grateful and hold beautiful memories of our special day at The Talbot Hotel! The Robertsons x -

If you’re looking for a beautiful wedding venue with lots of space and your own garden for an amazing price then look no further! The Talbot is historic and beautiful which creates a magical wedding experience. Me and my husband couldn’t have asked for a better day, everyone who works at The Talbot are so kind, lovely and helpful. The whole experience I had at this beautiful venue was unforgettable and I felt so comfortable there as well! The food was delicious, the staff are welcoming and the hotel was stunning. There’s is nothing I would change.

My daughter’s wedding was at the Talbot Hotel on the 26th July. I cannot express enough how well the whole day went.
We chose the Tie The Knot package but added extras to tailor it suit our needs. As we had never planned a wedding before we kept changing our minds but the Talbot was so accommodating and never made us feel as if anything was to much trouble.
The food was excellent and the service we received from every member of staff was faultless, everyone was so friendly and we are so glad we chose The Talbot for this special day.

Dorota & her Team at The Talbot helped make our day the magical & unforgettable experience we dreamed of. Nothing was too much trouble & our Day went smoothly from start to finish. Our guests booked out The Talbot over our Wedding and the wonderful feedback we received was just amazing & everyone commented on what a wonderful venue it was and how they would love to book another stay.
