Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who made our wedding day so unbelievably perfect for Brad and me. From beginning to end, the experience was nothing short of exceptional, and we will be recommending you with so much love for years to come.
From our very first meeting, Michelle was simply amazing. Her kindness, patience, and constant support made the entire planning process feel calm and joyful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and knowing she was always there at the end of the phone gave me so much reassurance every step of the way.
When we dropped off our wedding decorations, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and confidence, knowing everything would be set up exactly as we had envisioned. Letting go and trusting the team so completely allowed us to truly be present and soak up every magical moment of the day.
Zoe was also incredible. Her attention to detail with the table setup was beautiful, and her gentle reassurance throughout the day meant more than she will ever know. She made everything feel seamless, cared for, and so special.
The Orangery itself is absolutely breathtaking. What we loved most was knowing that it will always be a place we can return to — whether to celebrate our anniversary or simply pop in for a slice of cake — and relive those memories all over again. Since our wedding, we have received nothing but compliments about how stunning the venue was, how incredible the food tasted, and how genuinely lovely the whole team were. So many guests also said they had no idea the rest of the grounds even existed and were completely blown away by how special it all was.
And the food… truly out of this world. It exceeded every expectation and is still being talked about.
I honestly wish I could relive the day all over again. Thank you for creating a day that we will treasure in our hearts forever. 🤍

We couldn’t say enough amazing things about the orangery- from booking through to the day it was such an easy and non stressful process. Michelle was so responsive to our questions and helped us to put together a day that really felt like “us”. We really felt listened to and understood in everything we had hoped for in our day. The food is amazing, the staff are so brilliant and attentive and our guests all had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for everything! It was more than we could’ve hoped for :) -

Alice Sent on 19/02/2026Perfect Wedding - Can't Recommend Enough
We had a beautiful experience with The Orangery at Mount Edgcumbe - we really can't recommend it enough. Michelle and her team were so helpful during the planning process and the day itself ran perfectly. The budget was easy to manage since the costs were made clear to us before booking and we sourced suppliers ourselves (some recommended by the venue!) so we could manage costs easily.
We were already legally married but decided to have a Celebrant and ceremony in The Orangery which worked amazingly. It is such a beautiful venue and we didn't need to wear microphones because the room lended itself to our voices travelling - same for the speeches.
We had 96 guests and this venue was the perfect size for us. The dancefloor is also a great size - small enough to have everyone dancing together but big enough to not be crammed in.
The food was outstanding and they dealt with dietary requests really well. The service ran really smoothly for dinner as well and the wine stayed topped up!
What we loved about this venue was it's beautiful setting with the formal gardens, the proximity to Plymouth (we caught the ferry there and back on the day!), the kindness shown by Michelle and her team and the stress-free wedding day. Once the venue was set-up by the staff, the room was set for the whole day. Other venues we visited had to set up for ceremony, then change the set up for drinks/dinner and then change again to set a dancefloor. The Orangery is an all-in-one!
There is a lodge that can be rented as a getting-ready / quiet space, but we booked a room at the Edgcumbe Arms for the bride to get ready in which again, worked perfectly.
Overall, it was our dream wedding and Michelle and team made everything easy. -

Fantastic Venue
Michelle, Zoe and their team were amazing in every way - we could not have asked for a better team for our wedding day. Easy to talk to, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. So many guests complimented us on how perfect the food was and how the service was so smooth - it went like a dream. Our guests loved the Orangery which is spacious and full of natural light. It is beautiful. Many of our guests loved the Italian Garden outside the Orangery where they sat, drank, chatted and relaxed in the sun. Many said they felt like they were abroad.
We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. We would definitely recommended them.The Orangery's reply:

We got married at Mount Edgcumbe House and then had our reception at the Orangery on 9th August 2025. It was simply the best day and the team and venue could not have been more perfect!
From the moment we viewed The Orangery, it felt special. Michelle and her team are so so lovely and she was always on hand to respond to my many emails with excitement and kindness! I knew we were in safe hands.
The food was absolutely incredible! We received so many compliments on it and on the venue too! It is such a special and beautiful place we can always return to and it definitely has the ‘wow’ factor! It’s like stepping into a slice of Italian paradise.
We had the best day and wish we could do it all again!

Honestly, it's really to put into words our wedding day, because I feel words don't justify how Michelle, Kerri and the whole team as The Orangery made us feel on what was the best day of our lives.
Michelle was so quick and responsive to all of my questions and small details and no question was ever a silly question. We met with Michelle and Kerri the day before our wedding and they made us feel so at ease and everything was organised and prepped ready to go. Kerri set up the reception decorations for us which was such an amazing treat to walk into what was a stunning room.
Kerri was so attentive throughout the whole food service, with so many compliments from our friends and family about how delicious the food was and the wine choice as well.
The whole team was just incredible, even with constantly serving us throughout the night and we can't say a bigger thank you to The Orangery.
The actual venue itself is stunning with so many different areas for guests to explore. It was such an experience, especially with getting a ferry back across to Plymouth to end the night.

A Perfect Day
Michelle and the team at The Orangery couldn't have been more professional and supportive in helping us arrange our wedding day. The venue and gardens are beautiful, and a stone's throw from the water's edge, which added real scale and grandeur to the occasion. Our guests arrived and left via ferry which they all loved, and from the welcome drinks to the goodnight pasties, everything ran seamlessly and on time. The whole day was brilliantly organised and executed by The Orangery's wonderfully capable and conscientious team. Michelle really listened to us during our planning meetings, but she was also great at offering advice and made us feel completely at ease. Planning a wedding is definitely stressful, but The Orangery couldn't have done more to welcome us and the team worked so hard to make sure we had a perfect day. The venue, the proprietor, the amazing food and service are truly worthy of this five star review. Thank you so much.The Orangery's reply:
