Wedding of our dreams!
Jodie and the team at Highfield were absolutely incredible in helping to organise our dream wedding weekend. We hired the venue from Friday lunchtime through to Sunday and were made to feel like royalty for the duration of our stay. We started the weekend with a BBQ for close friends and family on the Friday evening - unfortunately it poured it down with rain so we had to relocate inside - this was however no trouble at all and the staff changed up the grand hall into a beautiful dining room complete with candles and music. The salt beef was some of the best i have ever eaten and the prawns were huge!! All of our guests were looked after by the bar staff afterwards as we all enjoyed a few drinks in the parlour.
On our wedding day, Vicki and the team were on hand to make sure that everyone had everything that they needed - including extra hash browns for the bridesmaids! Again, the rain meant that we couldn't have the outdoor ceremony that we had hoped for but this was no problem - the Grand Hall became the most beautiful room i have ever seen and the staff were so quick to organise our guests.
Throughout the rest of the day, the team at Highfield could not do enough for us, whether this was ensuring that the bride and groom had a drink or wiping down Groomsmen and Bridesmaids after a spilt drink or two! The team were absolutely fantastic and were on a first name basis with a lot of guests by the end of the weekend. Special thanks go to Abbie, Harvey and Charlotte and also to Vicki who is a literal wonderwoman!!
Our wedding breakfast meal was some of the tastiest food we have eaten and despite having nearly 80 guests, the staff ensured that everyone was fed and kept topped up with drinks as a priority. So many guests have complimented our menu and commented on the standard of the food being incredible!
We cannot thank Highfield enough for everything that they have done for us and feel genuinely honoured to have been able to spend our wedding weekend with them.
If you are thinking about booking your wedding at Highfield, do it! It will be the best decision you have ever made!!-

Amazingly relaxed, just as we wanted it.
Gemma is amazing!! She looked after us on our wedding day and nothing was too much trouble for her or the team. The food was lovely, and was completely demolished by our guests.
100% recommend, but do ask for the WhatsApp number early on as communication via email can be a bit slow.-

Avoid booking wedding here
Avoid booking your wedding at Highfield House. We married here in May 2025. I have written an honest review to avoid other couples having to go through the same as us.
After raising concerns with the service at our wedding I was called by the owner Lindsey who took ownership of all issues and seemed genuine. We were offered a stay and £469 refund. We accepted this however it was never received. After chasing a response for 6 weeks we received an email to say they had ‘ceased trading’ and can no longer give us the money. This seems suspicious considering Highfield House is still open and running and the owners are still the same.
For anyone wanting more details of our issues…
Our first issue came with the welcome drinks when we first arrived at the venue as planned and on time. No welcome drinks were ready and it was 15 minutes before the first drink was served. My husband had to ask the staff to open more bars so our guest could get drinks. We also ordered and paid for extra beers beforehand, we were told we didn’t order these until paperwork was checked and then warm beers were served.
The next issue was the service at the meal. It was chaotic. A few people were served on one table and then the next table started being served meaning people were almost finished with their food before others on their table were served theirs. We paid for tea and coffee after the meal, because of the poor organisation we were running behind on timings so I agreed these could be served outside of the room if it was announced to guests so the room could be changed over for the night. This was not communicated to our guests.
We paid for meals for our suppliers. Our photographer did not receive her meal during the wedding breakfast / her break. She had started working again before her food arrived. Our band had dietary requirements which I had clearly communicated, when they asked they were told this was not the case.
Communication was poor through the whole wedding planning stage. I had to follow up on every email I sent for a reply. The only communication that was prompt was the invoices being sent to us, which should have been a sign of things to come! I provided spreadsheets with clear and detailed information, I was even told I should be an ‘example’ to all brides on how to plan a wedding, I would hate to think what our day would have been like if I wasn’t organised.
Highfield is a beautiful venue that looks ‘instagrammable’ and picture perfect but the communication and service lets it down. -

Gorgeous venue and helpful stuff
We had a brilliant wedding day at Highfield House. It’s a gorgeous venue and the staff were so helpful on the day, responding to issues such and my hair stylist not showing up for an hour and managing to source and alternative quickly. This made all of the difference to the day. They were very flexible with what we wanted, giving us many options or the freedom to make our own specific requests. There weren’t any hidden costs later either besides some things for styling. I would definitely recommend booking here for your wedding. -

Amazing!! Will be recommending to everyone!
Wow wow wow, we had an amazing day! I can’t fault anything about the day! From the front of house staff, to the chefs and the cleaners everyone couldn’t have done enough for us and our guests! Shout out to Jodie for being so amazing and helping out with all the details she really made the wedding planning process and the day run so smoothly.
We visited Highfield for a Sunday dinner over a year and a half ago and knew once we drove up the drive that we had to get married here, every detail has been done to such a high standard.
We can’t wait to come back time and time again.
Thank you again so so much for making our wedding the most amazing day, I think we will be talking about this day for a long time as well as our guests!

A magical marriage venue
Highfield House hosted our wedding in March 2024 and made our big day so special. Jodie was highly responsive and accommodating of our requests in the run-up to the day, and incredibly supportive on the day itself. All the staff were professional, courteous, warm and friendly, and added to the magic of the occasion. The venue is astounding - the interior decor is breathtaking and the grounds are beautiful. The food and drink were top-class, too. Highly recommended as a wedding venue. Have your ceremony in the Great Hall for a touch of grandeur and be sure to have photos taken down by the lake. -

Pure Magic
It's been two months since we got married at Highfield House and it really was pure magic from start to finish!
From the very first visit we knew it was the venue for us - there is nothing like it in our local area, such a unique place and I said it felt like walking around my brain. It was everything we had been looking for! Lindsey and Andy have really made this place beautiful from top to bottom.
Jodie (events manager) was on hand throughout the whole journey to help us with anything we needed and really made our wedding experience so enjoyable. She is the warmest soul, a pure joy to work with and made us feel so at ease on the day and during the build up. Every time we visited Highfield before the wedding for drinks or even just a meeting, she made us feel like old friends - so comfortable and relaxed.
Charlotte (bar manager) was also an absolute dream to work with. So brilliant at her job - very accommodating with our requests and the cocktails were amazing! She also came to me at one point during the day and gave me the cork from the first bottle that was popped after we were married - such a special moment, so thoughtful and had me in tears of joy.
Vicki was also brilliant! On hand the day before and all day for anything we needed - a true professional! Vicki is also an amazing florist and did the flowers for our big day - making our vision come to life so perfectly. If you are getting married at Highfield, we would highly recommend booking Vicki to be your florist, you absolutely won't regret it!
We had so many compliments from our guests on the day and afterwards about how beautiful the venue was, how gorgeous the food tasted and how brilliant all of the staff were!
Special mention to Lily - after booking Highfield for our wedding, we visited for a stay on the year-to-the-day pre anniversary. Lily was working that night and was such a ray of sunshine. She made her first cocktail at the venue and served it to me nervously but she needn't have been worried as it was absolutely delicious! So delicious that we included it on the cocktail menu for our big day. Even more special, Lily was outside the Great Hall after our wedding ceremony to greet us with our very first drink as newlyweds. An absolute star and a credit to Highfield!
Nothing we could write could ever explain how amazing our wedding day at Highfield was and we cannot wait to come back every year for our anniversary.

Exceeded our expectations.
We didn't know much about Highfield when we booked to go and look around the first time. It ended up being one of the first venues we went to see, and after that initial visit no other venue compared in our minds. The building itself is stunning and so unlike anything else we had seen (or would see). Each has its own unique theme, and it is so well decorated. We were blown away by the tour we were taken on. And to be honest when we left, every venue we saw after that, my wife came away saying "...well, it's no Highfield". The grounds are stunning, and despite being off a main round once you’re inside you could be miles away from the nearest people.
Jodie, the events manager at Highfield, is an absolute credit to the team there. She is so so so good at her job. It cannot be overstated how much she helped us to pull off a wedding from that first meeting to the day itself (in less than 9 months, I might add), she was there every step of the way. She helped us to focus on the things that mattered most to us, and to save time and money by not having the things that we weren't interesting in. They have wedding packages, but that was more of a guide because everything we got was customised to what we wanted/ needed from our day. Even down to the menu, which we were able to include traditional India food for the fussy eaters on my wife's side. Jodie did so much for us, and she was as much a part of our special day as the best men and bridesmaids. From day 1, she did everything she could to make our dream a reality, and then some – she suggested things we had never even considered.
On the wedding day, the three things that every one of our guests commented on were:
1. The venue is stunning
2. The staff here are so friendly and helpful
3. This food is incredible
And they were all correct. They took care of every detail, every thing we wanted was seen to, no matter how big or small. It was all so well organised – we were able to just enjoy our day and not have to worry about anything else. The kitchen did an amazing job, especially with the additions we made to their set menu. Months on and I’m still being told it was the best sticky toffee pudding they’ve ever had.
Do yourselves a favour and book an appointment with Jodie – you won’t regret it!

Amazing wedding venue!
We recently had our wedding at The Highfield and all I can say is wow! It’s a stunning venue, the staff are lovely and went above and beyond for us on the day and the food was excellent. I especially loved all of the personal touches such as naming the cocktails after us and creating a bespoke drinks menu for the day. They were flexible during the planning stages and on the day to ensure that we had the wedding day we wanted. I would 100% recommend The Highfield. -

An incredible wedding party at an incredible venue
We recently had our wedding party at Highfield, and the day could not have been any more perfect. Everything went so smoothly, and so much of that is due to the awesome Highfield team. Jodie was amazing at helping us realise our vision for the day- and on the day itself along with Charlotte, Vicki and the incredible Highfield team delivered an absolutely seamless experience. All of our guests have been telling us how amazing the day was, how fantastic the staff were, how tasty the food was, and how much they love Highfield itself!
We had a solid amount of suppliers throughout the day and the logistics were just flawless, we didn't have to think about anything as it was all just perfectly taken care of.
We fell in love with the house from the moment we saw it, and being able to celebrate our wedding in such an amazing space still blows our minds. The owners Andrew & Lindsey have made this house & grounds into something truly special.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all of the team at Highfield, you're all amazing & made our celebrations something absolutely out of this world. -
