As soon as we stepped out of the car when we first visited Oaklands we felt almost giddy it was so beautiful. That feeling went right on through to even picking up our things the morning after the wedding. Not only is this place drop dead gorgeous, with absolutely anything you could want or need, the staff are also nothing short of excellent.
Vicky, our on the day coordinator, especially had such a reassuring air about her for every one of our questions throughout the planning process and and on the day. I was one of those type A brides that come armed with a vision and a detailed chart - and they took it all in their stride and made sure we had the most perfect day.
The day was everything we wanted and more. The private moment they make sure you have together before the wedding breakfast, and the magical outdoor first dance in the woods are particularly impressive touches.
Johny was the most kind and attentive emcee and DJ. Absolutely made our night - including a special midnight countdown moment. It was perfect.

We knew from the first moment we came to see Oaklands that it was our venue.
Your help and advice was monumental and you all went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. It was truly our perfect day. What an amazing venue, run by an amazing team of people.

What can we say... The Grand Lodge at Oaklands is an absolutely flawless wedding venue and our whole experience from the very first viewing to the day after the wedding could not have been any better.
A special shout out goes to Vicky, our co-ordinator, Andrea and Ian (master of ceremonies), who guided us through the whole planning process and were on hand to answer any questions we had and to provide reassurance to us both. On the day, Vicky made sure everything ran smoothly from the guests arrival, even making sure my dress didn't get wet on the footpath - we can't thank you enough!
Each and every single member of staff who played a part in our special day were fantastic, very polite and helpful and made sure both our guests and ourselves had everything that we needed.
The venue and grounds are simply stunning, the attention to detail is second to none and this speaks for itself when you visit. With the recent addition of the on site accommodation lodges, we would recommend this venue to any couple who are looking for the ultimate wedding package.
We honestly wouldn't have changed a single thing and both had the best day, better than we could have ever imagined and it wouldn't have been the same without the team at Oaklands.

From the moment we drove up to Oaklands, we knew we had to get married there! The venue sits in the most beautiful natural surroundings, but the Grand Lodge still offers that perfect balance of rustic and luxury! We 1st met with Andrea to see the venue and after her tour we secured a date straight away! She is so warm, so knowledgeable and has such passion for what her and her team are doing. We were then introduced to Vicky who coordinated our wedding day. Vicky was there every step of the way, answering any questions we had and giving any advice we needed. She made us feel at ease and took any stresses away from us. I had lots of little details I wanted to incorporate into our day and nothing was ever too much hassle for Vicky and the team! The day ran absolutely PERFECTLY, if anything did go wrong, we certainly didn’t know about it! No detail was forgotten, the whole staff were so kind and had a real laugh with us and our guests, we will never be able to say thank you enough to everyone at Oaklands, you all really do go above and beyond to make dreams come true!The Grand Lodge at Oaklands's reply:

This was not our first wedding, so we wanted something different and less formal. The minute we visited Oaklands we felt they could deliver exactly what we wanted. They did deliver, and more - we had our perfect wedding. The staff are incredibly helpful and were supportive throughout the entire planning process. The site itself is stunning, regardless of the weather, and our guests were blown away - we made amazing memories. Walking into the Grand Lodge is an incredible experience.
I work as a Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages so am very au fait with all the lovely venues across the East Riding - for us Oaklands was the perfect choice.

This venue is like something of a fairytale. Vicky (wedding organiser) listened to every little detail I required for our big day, she truly went above and beyond, we truly couldn't thank her enough, she's a great asset to Oaklands.
Johnny the Dj was great, he suggested going into a lively song straight from our first dance (slow song) and it really got the party going, the guests thought it was fantastic.
Our guests were saying it was the most beautiful wedding venue they'd ever been to.
