Sopwell House was a wonderful setting for our wedding in April 2025. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, welcoming and supportive throughout our time at the venue.
Special thanks to our Wedding Co-ordinator Chloe for her dedication and support throughout our wedding journey from preparations through to the wedding day itself. For her prompt responses to any questions that we had, her professionalism, patience, proactiveness with accommodating various amendments prior to and on the wedding day itself with a good example being arranging brunch for the Make Up Artists at the last minute on the wedding day itself.
Chloe answered all of our questions and gave us the reassurance ahead of our big day. Thank you for liaising with our selected suppliers where required to ensure all parties were aligned for specific segments during the wedding day.
A big thank you also to Alina and the ops team including Chefs, Waiters and Bar staff for their contributions during the wedding day.
For any couples interested in incorporating a fireworks display on their special day, Sopwell House are happy to accommodate this!
We are glad that the weather on the day was perfect for an outdoor wedding to show off an amazing venue in all its glory.

Sopwell House is an amazing venue for a wedding. It’s recently had a refurbishment and looks fantastic both inside and out.
The staff were very helpful, professional, friendly and clearly experienced with organising and running events. Our event planner, operations manager and all supporting staff were brilliant.
The food was delicious and so many of our guests said it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever had.
As a wedding venue for Hertfordshire, with the quality of service, food and inclusion of accommodation, Sopwell House is very good value for money.
We couldn’t recommend Sopwell House enough! They made our wedding day really special and we’re forever grateful. -

Chloe was so so helpful from the minute we booked our wedding! Any requests that we had they were fulfilled. Communication was amazing and any questions were answered within 24 hours. Sopwell was amazing for organisation, every detail mattered to make sure the day was perfect even creating a floor plan to make sure everything is where we wanted it. Any spare money we had from our package could be used on anything we wanted from food, to canapes to drinks there was no pressure on what to use it on. We had the most perfect day and wish we could relive it all over again! -

The BEST day - highly recommend!
We cannot recommend Sopwell House highly enough!
Planning a wedding can be so stressful but Chloe in the Events team was wonderful from the initial enquiry right up until the day itself. She was extremely friendly, always on hand for a chat and to answer any questions, and extremely professional throughout. A real joy to communicate with! She made the process so seamless for us and was incredibly organised. We cannot thank her enough.
The team on the day itself were equally as wonderful. They were so attentive and helpful and was always on hand for anything we needed. All our guests were complimenting how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was and how incredible the service was.
We really had the perfect day and cannot fault Sopwell House at all.
We highly recommend booking your special day here - you won't regret it!

We thought the whole process from initial enquiries, meetings, including food tasting, was relatively straightforward and pain free.
Fion and her team were attentive throughout, keeping in constant communication during the planning process.
My wife and I would like to say a huge thank you to Emily, Reevens and the whole team who supported us on our wedding day in August.
Due to poor weather we had to move the ceremony inside, however this was well handled and the room was well dressed and ceremony was amazing.
The whole team on our wedding day all catered to our needs, taking the stress out of the day and making it the very best of days.
Emily and Reevens worked so well together with great communication so that everything went very smooth.
All the staff were amazing, delivering excellent service from start to finish. All our guests had a great time.
