We got married at Ravenwood Hall Hotel September 2025 and unfortunately our experience was nothing short of deeply distressing.
Despite booking and fully paying for the Earth Wedding Package, which clearly included a complimentary Bridal Suite, no room was reserved for us at all. This was due to what can only be described as serious administrative failures and poor internal communication between management.
After our guests had left, we were not approached by staff regarding our Bridal Suite or offered any assistance. We had to collect our own bags in the rain, only to return and find the hotel locked. One of the bar staff clearing up let us in and found the master key to the Bridal Suite as the original key had disappeared. We walked in and switched the lights on to discover the Bridal Suite was occupied by someone else already asleep. Staff then realised no room had been allocated to us and eventually offered a last-minute room only because another guest hadn't arrived. What should have a special end to our wedding day instead saw the bride sobbing on the stairs and staff unsure if they could even find a room for us. Management was nowhere to be seen. We spent our wedding night exhausted, distressed and wide awake, worried the rightful guest would turn up.
Additional issues occurred throughout the day, including vegetables being "forgotten" with our main course and part of our wedding cake being cut against our clear instructions. These may seem small individually, but they reflect a consistent pattern of disorganisation and lack of care.
We were promised a refund of our bar tab as a goodwill gesture and assured the matter would be investigated seriously after our honeymoon, but we feel no meaningful attempt was made by the hotel manager to resolve the situation. We were eventually offered £150 in compensation which was frankly insulting for the breach of a £6,000 contract and the distress caused. In the end, we accepted the £150 as we wanted nothing further to do with Ravenwood or Cameron Ventures Group.
This was supposed to be one of the most important days of our lives and instead it was overshadowed by distress and memories that keep us awake at night even now. Even our wedding photos are hard to look at as most feature Ravenwood in the background. We would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking their wedding at this venue and for those who already have, to question everything.

The venue was stunning, the room we stayed is was also beautiful. They were very polite, professional. Only disappointment I had was the food but overall was a lovely place.
