Exceptional!!!
We cannot put into words quite how magical the day was. When we were choosing a venue, it wasn't just Lanwades Hall itself that made us fall in love with it - it was the team. From the very beginning, every interaction with your team was warm, kind, professional and welcoming, and my word, that shone through on the day itself.
We have received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. I literally gasped when I saw the lavender on the Friday - the colour was unbelievable. And the jasmine arch smelled divine! The whole venue looked stunning and created the most incredible backdrop for our wedding. It was magical from start to finish.
What we appreciated most, though, was everything that happened behind the scenes that we'll probably never even know about. The logistics, organisation, co-ordination and countless moving parts that go into delivering a wedding day of that scale must be enormous. Yet from our perspective, everything felt completely seamless. We were able to spend the day simply enjoying ourselves, being present with our family and friends, and celebrating together, because we knew everything was being taken care of. That is such a gift and we're incredibly grateful for it. So a humungous thank you!
Please do pass on our thanks to everyone involved. Every member of the team played a part in making our day so special, and we will always look back on it with the happiest memories. Thank you to Carmen to helping with our last minute requests on Friday (and no doubt all the things happening behind the scenes on Saturday). And please also pass on our huge thanks to Natalie - I was in a right anxious tizz on the wedding day and she made me feel instantly calm every time I saw her.

Thanks to the whole team at Lanwades Hall, who helped make our wedding day so special.
The main reason we chose Lanwades was that it feels stately and special but still super inviting and comfortable - it's big enough to give people room but not so big they get lost, and you really feel like the place is yours for the day. The inside needs very little dressing because it's already so tastefully decorated, the building and grounds are amazing backdrops for photos, and the gardens are gorgeous all year round – our wedding was at the end of March and the sunken garden had begun to bloom. Several of our guests commented on what a stunning venue Lanwades is!
Another draw for us was the accommodation. Our entire wedding party (including ourselves!) were travelling from different parts of the country, so it was lovely to be able to have nearest and dearest on site for the nights before and after the actual wedding day. The rooms are beautifully finished, and the comfort and luxury of the wedding suite itself was unmatched by any others we saw. The Cedar suite for grooms to get ready is a really thoughtful addition and was a much appreciated bonus for us!
The best thing about Lanwades is the people - everyone was warm and responsive from our first showaround to our wedding day almost two years later. Alex and Elvis are just the most welcoming and accommodating hosts, remembering details that meant we had a really personal experience. Charlotte is so positive to work with and was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, and Tegan was really lovely and organised on the wedding weekend itself.
The team at Lanwades made our wedding planning easy and enjoyable and ensured that our big day went really smoothly, and we can't thank them enough! -

Lanwades Hall was the very first venue we looked at and from the moment we stepped foot into Lanwades we knew this was the venue we was going to get married in. Lanwades Hall is beautiful and every room tells a story. It was the perfect venue size for us and our guests on our wedding day. From the moment we met Alex and Elvis we felt very welcomed and comfortable. The lovely Tegan was there on the day, she was brilliant and was there if we needed anything.
Our day was just perfect and it was all thanks so the wonderful venue and Lanwades team that made every detail perfect.
Thank you so much to Elvis, Alex and Tegan for making our day flow smoothly and beautifully. ❤️ -

Thank you Lanwades!
From the moment we stepped in to Lanwades Hall, we knew straight away it was the one. We had been to view several other venues, but felt as though they were very 'one in, one out', however, Lanwades felt like a second home and we knew we would be looked after and in good hands.
We loved that we could book the venue for two nights and have a big chunk of family and friends stay over too. On the night before the wedding, we booked a load of tables at The Kentford pub for a pre-wedding celebration which was fantastic. Plenty of hotels/Air B&Bs nearby for guests in and around Newmarket/Bury St. Edmunds!
We can't even begin to thank the staff at Lanwades enough, particularly Tegan and Elvis who were so lovely, approachable, flexible and professional, as well as always being prompt with responses and queries we had. Our day ran like clockwork and we really appreciated the little touches, like saving us some of our wedding cake to have when we got back to our room! There is such a warm and homely feel from all of the staff at Lanwades and it is the most beautiful venue - so many of our guests commented on the daffodils on the drive up!
Thank you so much Lanwades for making our wedding the perfect day. We are so grateful and feel so lucky to have had our wedding at your beautiful venue.

Lanwades Hall October 2025
There are not enough words to describe how perfect our wedding day was at Lanwades Hall. From the minute we stepped foot on the property on our first meeting with Charlotte, we felt welcomed, cared for and important. Throughout the whole planning process, no question was a silly one and no ask was too big. On our big day, Tegan and Charlotte ensured it was everything and more. The day ran so smoothly and I (a major control freak) never felt the need to think about anything but enjoying myself because everything was taken care of! It was truly the wedding of my dreams and I long to relive it again every day. Thank you again, Lily and Ben Blackman -
