Perfect Day

Anjali and her team delivered us the most perfect wedding party. Regular check in's in the few months before the big day ensured that we all knew exactly what was needed and Anjali had a clear idea of our vision. On the day the room was set up exactly as I'd asked, food was plentiful and drinks flowed freely. Neither of us had a worry about a thing.
We've had so many compliments of how great the party was. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Harrild and Co as a brilliant wedding venue for a fantastic party.

Great Space, Amazing Coordinator

We were thrilled with the space that Harrild and Sons offered, unfortunately it was simply too small.

However, my fiance and I left the meeting doing mental gymnastics trying to find a way to make it work because Anj was so amazing. She was so prepared, professional, and kind. She is the type of person I would trust to make sure my wedding went off without a hitch.

WOW! Incredible!!!!!!!

Where do I even begin…we stumbled across Harrild & Sons when searching for a venue and it was the best decision we ever made. The planning, the staff, the venue, the food and everything in between was 10/10! Clare, our wedding planner helped and guided us more than I could ever wish for, in addition to being a wonderful person inside and out. The wedding reception was executed perfectly and we were so happy. The food is amazing and every guest complimented us on this! I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

Chic city venue

I had a great experience working with Anjali and the team at Harrild and Sons. It's always such a joy to deal with a friendly, flexible team of people when setting up flowers for a wedding. From help with access on the day, to set up & clearing & collecting the flowers following the wedding - everything was just really smooth & easy. Plus, the venue is superb and just a lovely relaxed space for a chic London wedding.

Best venue we could have ever dreamed of picking!

Harrild and Sons, Clare, Martin, the bar staff, the team, the venue couldn't have been more perfect. Clare executed absolutely every aspect of our wedding vision, was on hand in the run up 24/7 and became a friend throughout the process.

The food is sublime, far surpassing any wedding breakfast we've had before and ever single one of our guests fed this back to us! The bar staff didn't miss a beat, never a glass empty, our cocktails were perfect and the staff couldn't have been better..

There truly isn't a venue i'd recommend more highly. They made our day perfect and I'd trust them with every function we'd ever do in future!

Amazing wedding celebration!

Recently we had our wedding celebration at Harrild & Sons Pub, and it was fantastic! The food was incredible, and all our guests loved it—big shoutout to the chef and their team! Anjali and Dylan were amazing with the planning and made sure everything run smoothly.

From the start, they were super organized and made the whole process run smoothly, which was awesome as my partners and I struggle with planing. They handled the schedule and worked with our external entertainment perfectly. Any extra enquires or questions they were always able to help and recommend any other options.

Overall, it was such a great experience. My husband and I definitely recommend Harrild & Sons to anyone looking to have a city pub wedding or any other kind of event. We just wanted a fun and nice venue. Nothing over the top, just a place we could be ourselves! They really made our day special

Harrild & Sons is Unbeatable

We got married at Harrild & Sons in July 2024. We cannot speak more highly of the team and the event they put on. Clare and Anj are dynamite coordinators, Martin is an incredible chef, and Dylan + his team are all-stars. From the outset they understood our vision and executed it perfectly on the day. We had 130 guests - mostly from overseas - and they loved the atmosphere of the venue. We strongly recommend H&S. We wouldn't change a thing. Thank you to the entire H&S team - you guys have a great thing going on.

Best wedding venue ever!

We had our wedding reception at Harrild and sons in May this year and the day was everything we could have dreamed of which was all down to Clare and the team.

We chose this venue as we knew we wanted a pub wedding but loved that it had the secret cocktail bar underneath which was really fun for cocktail hour and our guests loved it. We also really liked that they offered a package which took the stress out of planning the day and also budget friendly.

I really can’t thank Clare and Anjali enough. They were always on hand before the day to answer any of our questions that we had and the day couldn’t have been more seamless and everything ran so smoothly which meant we could really enjoy the day.

If you’re looking for a fun pub wedding venue in London with incredible food and that’s open til as late as 3am then this is the venue for you!!

Perfect relaxed Venue in central London

We saw a lot of venues in London before we came across Urban and wish we'd found them sooner. They made everything so easy. Clare the events organiser and Dylan the Manager at Harrild and Son's were both fantastic. The venue itself was perfect, just what we were looking for; somewhere in central London that had plenty of character and wouldn't break the bank. We didn't have a sit down meal, we opted for canapés and bowl food which everyone raved about. We also loved Dylan's suggestion of a cocktail hour in the downstairs bar which went down very well with the guests!
I couldn't have asked for a better venue, or better people to deal with in the run to the wedding.
The staff on the night were also excellent.

Please be aware!

*Please note that after months of back and forth with the venue, we received some compensation for the issues that we experienced*

Our wedding took place in August 2022, and after some careful thought, we think it is right that we leave a review of our big day at Harrild & Sons so that no other couples go through the same disappointment and frustration that we experienced.

We selected H&S due to their brilliant online reviews, so when it was announced that the venue changed hands at the start of 2022, we had immediate concerns that we would not receive the amazing pub wedding we envisaged. It turned out that we were correct to have these concerns, and unfortunately for us they really showed through on our big day.

Although our initial agreement with the venue was honoured, due to staff changes and miss communication, we did not receive the same top tier management that other reviewers of this venue have reported. We were assigned a wedding manager which made us feel at ease, but it seemed that all our conversations reading up to the day were pointless.

The errors during our day are plentiful, with the major errors listed as follows -

- No experienced wedding manager present on the day. I hadn’t met the person that was assigned on the day before and they had clearly not managed many/any weddings previously.
- Our welcome drinks were not served to guests, instead, a bottle of gin, bucket of ice and some tonic bottles were placed at the back of the room. Guests bought their own drinks instead.
- Staff did not know about our £2k bar tab and charged drinks to guests until we realised what was happening. They also did not put out the sign we had made to alert guests on which drinks were on the tab.
- Our wedding cake was not served to guests and we took it all home with us. Complete waste of money.
- During our initial meeting we were told that fairy lights were wrapped around the pillars for all weddings, but these were not done. We found out after the fact that it was for us to sort ourselves but this was never communicated.
- Selected wine from our tasting was not available on the day, I had to taste and select wines when I arrived at my wedding.
- Food was completely different in quality than we tried at the tasting. The beef (that nearly everyone had) was tough and had not been cooked for long enough. It was hugely embarrassing as we had raved to guests about how good the beef dish was.
- When we requested to see the itemised receipt against our tab, we found that many drinks had been costed wrong, it was completely inaccurate towards the charges/services agreed.
- Security agreed for the night did not turn up and random punters came in several times during the night.
- Doombar was ordered in specifically for the father of the groom, but it was not available even after double checking it would be two days prior to the wedding.
- Camden Hells was off after 2.5hrs of us being at the venue.
- Wrong table plan was used.

I hope no one experiences this level of issues during their wedding.

We were expecting a couple of things to go wrong, but never anything to this scale. It honestly felt like staff hadn’t handled a wedding before.

Thankfully during the day we were in such a giddy, overwhelmingly happy state of mind, we forced all of these issues away from affecting our experience at the time. However, upon reflection, we feel hurt and hugely disappointed, especially that we had to fight so hard to receive any goodwill and decent customer service from the venue.

After two months of back and forth with management we received some compensation which has helped ease a bit of bad feeling, but I hope making others aware of our experience will give some further closure.
