Unforgettable woodland wedding venue
We had our wedding at Happy Valley and it was the most magical experience! Being able to have your ceremony anywhere at the venue is a huge plus, and we opted to get married on the island which felt really unique and special. Happy Valley was the only wedding venue we looked at, because we knew immediately it was exactly what we wanted.
The Happy Valley team are all lovely and guided us through the process, answering many questions and advising us through the whole lead up to our wedding. Special shout out for India!
We booked out Keepers Cabin, Moonshine Manor, King Nutkin, Toad Hall and Queen Bee for ourselves and our guests, and everyone loved the cabins. The hot tubs were particularly popular, and starting our wedding morning in the hot tub surrounded by trees and nature was an experience we’ll never forget!
We’d highly recommend Happy Valley for weddings and relaxing getaways, and we already can’t wait to come back! -

Disappointed, despite beautiful venue
Happy Valley is an absolutely stunning venue. There are three beautiful barns yet somehow the outdoor area is the star. Unfortunately the rest of the experience is pretty lacking - they give a pretty nice sell but once your deposit is in they just try to give as little as possible, change some of what was agreed during the sell, and extract as much from you as possible. We were aware of course this is what the industry is like, but Happy Valley is definitely not the outlier we'd hoped in that respect.
If you are working to a budget, I'd be very wary booking Happy Valley, and overall left quite disappointed with the experience, even though we did love the site. Neither bride or groom would recommend, in our personal opinions.Happy Valley's reply:

We were deeply saddened and taken aback by your review, especially after your post wedding message saying the venue was everything you’d dreamed of, the day went just as you wanted, and thanking us for all our help.
Having carefully reviewed our correspondence, we do not feel the suggestion that we tried to “give as little as possible” and “extract as much as possible” fairly reflects what we provided: hours of free planning support, goodwill concessions and practical help resolving issues on the day.
Your agreed venue hire price remained unchanged. Corkage was charged for undisclosed wedding-day alcohol, in line with your signed contract and repeated reminders.
We respect your disappointment, but those descriptions of our intentions are particularly hard to read given the care and work our team put into your wedding. -

happy valley is now our happy place!
happy valley is beyond beautiful and the team go above and beyond for their couples ❤️
we instantly knew it was the place for us as soon as we first laid eyes on it. the grounds are sensational and it just gets even more beautiful the more you look around. the spaces available allow you to really tailor your day to what you want, making everyone’s day totally unique, and that is super hard to come across.
katy, hope, and the team are fantastic too - by the end of it, they feel like friends and you know that they’ll do anything they can to make your day special. they were constantly beaming on the day and i wouldn’t have trusted anyone but them!
happy valley made our dreams come true for our special day and i can’t wait to keep visiting and making even more memories there! -

Perfect for our day!
Katy, Hope and the team were so kind and welcoming. We were guided through the entire process. Very professional, quick to respond and always reassuring! The venue is so versatile, having the flexibility to get married anywhere on site was reassuring, no matter what the weather brings! The entire venue is beautiful, whether you get married inside or out! -

Absolutely amazing
The most amazing venue and staff, we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place to get married and the help and support from start to finish was the absolute best. From the moment we arrived for a viewing we knew this was our place.
I would recommend anyone to visit to stay and without a doubt to get married there.
It was the best and we are so grateful to have had our special day at happy valley. -

Wonderful Team, Beautiful Venue
This was certainly our dream venue, with the gorgeous scenery, twinkly lights, and quirky cabins.
All our guests came away saying it was stunning and unique.
As we married in April, some guests got a tad cold on a night, but the HV staff were accommodating and flexible.
Although we opted out of paying extra for the wedding co-ordination (which we felt should be included in the price), we still felt like the team supported the smooth running of our day and stepped in during some stressful moments to help us rectify supplier issues.
We certainly recommend to any couple who loves the outdoors/nature and wants a venue where they can put their own stamp on the day. -
